Progress in Our Country Peace. Great economy. This are words we’ve all heard but never next to ¨Mexico”, now we will. This are things that our new president, Porfirio Díaz, achieved during his first period of governing. We asked the president what was his secret for making Mexico become the country we all dreamed of, “peace, order, and progress”, he said to us. It all points out that his plan is working perfectly until now; with the foreign investors our country’s economy is better than ever. Progress! With both, the liberals and the conservatives, happy we can forget all about the Reform War or anything like that in the future. Peace! And with appropriate laws the bandits are less and less every day. Order! No one could have ever imagine that some day we would have such a country... with such a president! We are, for the first time, choosing our rulers fairly. The government listens to us and thanks to that Mexico has become a better place. Now we are even recognized by Germany! I’m sure we can agree that the Plan of Tuxtepec was worth it. We are hoping that our actual president wins again this elections so that this beautiful country keeps moving and becoming better and better every day.
