SCANDIAGADE

In this innovative cloudburst project in Copenhagen’s Sydhavn. 1:1 Landskab designed a landscape that can both handle heavy volumes of rainwater and function as a recreational park for the residents. A central reserve with beautiful old trees has been transformed into an innovative urban space with eight basins that can hold 1,500 m3 rainwater. In this project, I assisted in the preparation of the Master Plan and other detailed plans. The media used for these tasks were Autocad, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

STÆREVEJ

StĂŚrevej must be transformed from an oversized street filled with cars to a special space for the entire neighborhood. The project presents four different approaches: raised surfaces; simple space formations with different distinctive tree plantations; enhance the identity of Fuglekvarteret using different color tiles to mimick bird flocks; use of urban furniture to My task for this project was to prepare the above visualization as well as the Master Plan. For the different tasks, I used 2D and 3d programs such as Rhino, Autocad, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

GRØNTTORVET

For more than 50 years, Grønttorvet was the trading center for fruit, vegetables, and flowers. Now the area is being transformed into a modern district for housing and offices. 1:1 Landscape approach to the park is full of sensory impressions and experiences for residents. In the park, there is an area with edible fruit trees that residents and park visitors can pick, Grønttorvet is the first edible park in Denmark’s capital. In this project, I assisted in the preparation of the Master Plan and the model making of the project and surroundings. The media used for these tasks were Autocad, Photoshop, and Illustrator. The model was made of whiteboard and wood.

BRYGGENS BASTION

This master plan was developed by Arkitema, Tredje Natur, Entasis, and Polyform. The overall concept of the masterplan is a green corridor, which connects ‘Svinget’ to the east to the archaeological site ‘Faste Batteri’ to the west. The green corridor will have public green areas, accessible by the area’s residents and the other users of the area, a public bicycle and pedestrian connection, combined with rainwater management elements. The archaeological site will be re-established and will be designed into a city park. My task for this project was to detail some sections of the Master Plan. The media used for this task was Autocad and Illustrator.

DOCK FOREST ISLAND

Spring semester 2017 (MSc) Landscape Arch. Landscape Studio

DOCK ISLAND FOREST is a project focused to improve the adjoining areas of the Opera House. The project wants to create a new kind of reclamation where nature takes over man made builded structures by adding different natural environments.

TEAM MEMBERS: Astrid Andreasen Sara Denesyar Diego Chanove

Dok Ø is a land reclamation located in the harbor of Copenhagen, just opposite Amalienborg castle at the shore of the harbor. This land reclamation was built to be a replacement for Gammel Dok at Christianshavn. Dok Ø led to the establishment of the storage of anchors and ships ballast for the Royal Danish Navy in 1858. In August 2000 the A.P Møller and Chastine Kinney Foundation built a new Opera House to the danish state. Dock Island Forest project wants to improve to adjoint areas of the Opera Hause and to create a new kind of reclamation at Dok Ø; one that nature takes over man-made structures. The general idea is to create man-made ecosystems that are similar to the natural ones of the Oresund Region and then let nature do its work.

THE COMMON GROUND

Autumn semester 2018 (MSc) Landscape Arch. Master Thesis Project

The project focus on the interaction between host and refugee communities as well as elements that can improve quality of life in an area where citizens generally lack access to public areas.

Since the Syrian War began, thousands of people fled to neighboring countries. In Jordan, tens of thousands of Syrian seeked asylum. In Al-Azraq, located in the northeastern region of Jordan, 7000 Syrians refugees have settled in this village that before the war broke in Syria had a population of 9021 habitants.

TURKEY SYRIA

When the newcomers arrived, the country’s infrustructre was in emergency, local and international organisations started to develop schools and other programs in the area. Therefore the project focus on the interaction between host and refugee communities as well as elements that can improve quality of life in an area where citizens generally lack access to public areas.

REVEALING NORDSTRAND

“Revealing Nordstrand” aims to create a more attractive and better connected summerhouse landscape at the northern coast of Odsherred, Nordstrand. The project will create a connection from east to west by transforming and completing the existing road- and path structures along the existing drainage canals below and above ground and transform existing open spaces along the coastline and inside the dense summerhouse area into common leisure landscapes. Small focused interventions will improve the overall connectivity and the leisure life for the summerhouse owners and for inhabitants of the nearby small town Nykøbing Sj.

Spring semester 2017 (MSc) Landscape Arch. Transformation Studio

TEAM MEMBERS: Patricia Sandager Simone Haxholm Diego Chanove Troels Friis

AREA 1 - THE PRESERVED LOT Every summer, a group of summerhouse owners come together to build a pier on the beach along this area, which is removed again for the winter. In this area the proposal is to create a new tower. Inspired by the temporary pier, the tower will function as a sauna during the winter.

AREA 2 - THE PLAYGROUND In this empty lots, which have a central location along the beach in the project area. We introduce a playground to create a place where families can be “together apart. This expression was introduced to us in a lecture by Lea Holst Laursen.

AREA 4 - THE DUNES (EAST) The evolution of the dunes is very clear in this area, and has created a landscape which is unique to the project area. Te proposal here was to replace the existing lifeguard tower. The new tower will resemble the dunes, and can be used for cafĂŠ or ice cream shop, as well as being a viewpoint.

SOCIAL VINDICATION MEMORIAL

The S.V.M is a building where the architectural design makes social vindication processes visible. It is a social reafirmation of the space wich illustrates and value all the social conflicts that helped to consolidate the Bolivian state. The Memorial has 6 differents areas. Each of them represents a period in the Bolivian history. Starting from the colonial period, and finishing with the return of democracy after 18 years of dictatorships. The main purpose of this project is let the space tell the story, bringing feelings of opression, emptness, desperation, among others. These feelings will psicologically affect the visitor, then the story will come from being told to a lived experience. Therefore, the learning of these historical processes will become in some way real.

(B.Arch.) Bachelor of Architecture Final Project Degree

1st space - THE SIGN OF THE CROSS The first exhibition space or the entrance to the memorial is defined as a conceptual journey. The idea is to show an alleged search and a long spatial journey. (Referring to the Francisco Pizarro route/journey). The cross has a hierarchical position value due to the position it has in the exhibition space; above it all, above all the things and all the human beings.

2th space - TUPAC This second memorial exhibition space is a tribute to the indigenous leaders who initiated the collapse of the colony. The exhibition space illustrates the firm fight and the brutal counter attacks. The dismemberment of the indigenous leaders illustrates repression and subordination. Therefore the exhibition space is spatially dispersed and fragmented.

3rd space THE NATION FOUNDERS The appreciation of the monument to Marshal Zepita shows the mestizo man. Son of Spanish and Quechua alongside a pucara (cairn used to demarcate indigenous territories). In this way, this sculpture of 14 meter high, made by Ted Carrasco; refers to all those who constituted the new state, indigenous people and Spanish descendents.

4th space - OUR MEMORY The fourth memorial space is a tribute to soldiers killed in the various conflicts which Bolivia was involved in from 1878 to 1835. The light bathes the exhibition space and progressively displays the names of the fallen soldiers.

SHELTER IN UYUNI SALT FLATS

(B.Arch.) Bachelor of Architecture Studio 3 Course

Salar de Uyuni expeditions range in length from 2 to 4 days. Most of tours take deeper into the desert where discovering soaring volcanoes, steaming geysers, colorful lakes, warm hot-springs, and unique wildlife. Part of the expedition is to overnight in different shelters between natural attractions. Arriving late in the evening and leaving before sunrise, time is limited, therefore functions of shelter become basic.

TECHO

ArchSharing Competition March 2019

TECHO DAYCARE wishes to be a resilient and sustainable hub for the kids of the Arboleda de Fatima district in Bolivia. Located in the middle of an unused sports field, it takes advantage of the existing roof and pavement. It is an eight modules structure that combines the use of different materials: wood for the frames, bamboo for screening walls and tops, and earth (superadobe) for the curved benches.

TECHO kindergarten is a resilient hub for kids. It is centered around the idea of education through exploration, achieved with diverse but efficient design. The facility’s management is based on a circular system where old and new generations operate together. The elderly use new spaces while interacting with the youngest. The knowledge of the wisest in combination with the enthusiasm of children will allow production of bamboo objects and meals to be sold. The outdoor vision includes open classrooms, playing elements and production areas. The main character of the new garden is a curved bench module made of superadobe which can be used as open classrooms and meeting points. Bamboo and food will be grown in designated areas of the garden so to help fulfilling the construction materials and meals necessities.

LJUS - ENTRÉ

Skanka Konsttvling Competition June 2017

The concept is based on a large co-play between art and architecture. Each gate adorned with a few windows up-built by a variety of different colored glass blocks. These glass sculptures give each entry a unique character while it holds the entire area. The multicolored glass gives a light with glowing feeling that the day will provide entrance room a wonderful light and at night time will create boards that light up the darkness.

WINDS OF LIGHT

Winds of Light is a visualization of the wind. An organic flow of light reflecting it’s character, movement and intensity. Small LEDs are suspended in a metal wire grid 4-5 meters above the ground. Each LED is powered individually by a mini wind turbine. This creates a dynamic animation of the wind and a rich lighting experience.
