A community member was badly wounded during a taxi strike at the Cyferskuil four-way stop on Monday, 18 January. It was community versus taxi drivers when bystander Sam Manganye of Voyentin, near Cyferskuil, was allegedly assaulted by an angry mob. He received serious head wounds during the attack, which were apparently caused by shovels. He was rushed to Jubilee Hospital for medical attention, and his family says that he is now recuperating at home.
