Berta’s Kinderland

learning & having fun:

Here at the Ski School Fiss Ladis we aim to teach our young stu dents skiing with the help of methodological learning games, age appropriate break programmes and varied teaching aids. The unique Snow V break aid is an additional tool for fast and fun learning. Ultimately the children must produce the necessary mo tivation, and then there is nothing standing in the way of a great skiing week!

If any questions arise, please don’t hesitate to contact the office at the Kindervilla or the staff on site. This way, we can be of fast assistance.

Tip

Please prepare your child for the separation, and say a clear and brief goodbye when the day begins. Please don’t forget to write your phone number on the ticket! Please don’t put too much pressure on your children to succeed fast – Rome was not built in a day

Bambini Ski course / 3 years

General information:

Because of the physical exercise, the altitude and the long periods of concentration, 3-year-olds are soon exhausted and need to rest in the afternoon. At this age, kids are simply not ready for an all-day ski course, and it would destroy the fun of skiing to try. This is why the Bambini toddler programme (max. 5 children) is offered in the mornings between 10:00 a.m. and noon.

full day supervision:

We offer full-day programmes with snow adventure. Lunch-time supervision including lunch can be booked extra.

Homesickness:

With empathy, games and lots of variation, we are doing our very best to make the separation from mum and dad as easy as possib le. Sometimes, it needs a second try for it to work. Please be under standing if your child is not yet ready to stay with the group.

Learning goal:

After 4 – 5 days, the kids snowplough down a lightly slanting slope. The last day, all kids participate in the Bambini ski race.

Tip: Visit our information event “Bambiniland Hello” on Sundays 10:30 a.m., at Bertas Kindervilla in Berta’s Kinderland (please bring your skiing gear).

children Ski course / 4 years

General information:

The children participate in the all-day course for 4-year-olds! We kindly ask parents to trust our pedagogic expertise and not regis ter 4-year-olds in the older groups. For example, 4-year-olds need approximately 3 to 4 days to properly learn how the snow-plough, whereas a 5-year-old only needs 1 to 2 days. Dividing the groups correctly has a great impact on the kids’ motivation and learning success.

Homesickness:

Separation anxiety can be a problem also in this group. Some children are not used to wait with the group or to be a part of group instruction. It is therefore important to prepare the children of what to expect. Most of the time there are no problems at all, and the children learn the snowplough within a few days. We also offer the introduction ticket for the 4-year-olds’ first skiing day.

Results & success

After approx. 5 days, the children make nice turns along Berta’s learning trail, and some even manage the Ladis slope.

All 4-year-olds participate in the final ski race by the magic carpet lift.

If the 4-hour-course is too exhausting for your 4-year-old child, you can switch to the Bambini programme in com bination with Berta’s snow adventure. (price differences possible)

children / 5+6 years

General information:

5- and 6-year-old children fit very well together both in coordination and in endurance. In addition, the children are in a great learning age, only in exceptional cases, it is difficult to start. We also offer the introduction ticket for the 5-year and 6-year-olds’ first skiing day.

Results & success:

After approximately 5 days, the children master the Poschi and Ladis slopes as well as riding the button lift. All children participate in the last-day ski race by the Poschi lift.

Gear for 3 to 6-year-olds

The right equipment is the first step to success! Children who are freezing or sweating too much are not happy.

• Adapt clothing to weather

• The skis should not be taller than chest level

• Proper ski boots – no plain winter boots

• Ski or sunglasses, sunscreen –always, also when cloudy!

Berta’s Kindergarten

dear parents, the Ski School Fiss-Ladis offers all-day care for children as young as 3 months at the kindergarten Fiss or Ladis.

Games, fun and new Friends:

At the children’s playground, we play in the snow, make little excur sions with the lifts and get to make new friends. Visits to the farm or one of the playgrounds are also on the programme. Aside from lots of fun and games outdoors, we also have great facilities to play indoors.

Important information

Age: We welcome children from 3-months-of-age to Berta’s Kindergarten.

Opening hours: At Berta’s Kindergarten, you can choose between half-day or all-day care. We are here for you Sunday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Languages: Aside from German, the staff also speak Dutch and English.

Nap time

When the kids get really tired from playing, they can take a nap here at our kindergarten.

Berta’s Snow adventure

dear parents, the Ski School Fiss-Ladis offers half-day supervision for 3 and 4-year-olds with fun and play in the snow – without skiing. We look forward to welcoming you in our snow adventure room at Berta’s Kindervilla.

Berta’s snow adventure Supervision programme for 3 and 4-year-olds who find skiing simply too exhausting but would like to play with Berta at the Kinder land. Berta’s Snow Adventure programme can easily be combined with the Bambini course. Play and lots of fun in the snow!

What to bring:

• Important! Pacifier, favorite snuggle toy or blanket!

• Sunglasses, Slippers, Water bottle

• Please bring proper winter boots, gloves and a hat to change for Bambini children who attend the snow adventure in the afternoon.

• Eqipment can be stored at the children’s ski depot at Berta’s Kindervilla.
