When interest rates began to climb, the area’s new-home builders pulled from their sales and marketing toolkit a tactic that had, in recent years, fallen by the wayside. Commonly referred to as “incentives,” it is simply an amount of money the builders are willing to “give” in an effort to encourage buyers to purchase.

For the most part, the funds are flexible. Buyers can use them to buy down interest rates, either short-term or long-term, thereby addressing the affordability issue.

When interest rates were nearing 8 percent, those who applied their incentive dollars to interest rate buydowns were able to reduce their mortgage rate to between 4 and 5 percent. Quite a substantial savings that could make the difference between qualifying for a mortgage or not.

But not all buyers choose to use incentive dollars to lower their interest rates. Higher-end

buyers tend to apply such funds to design center upgrades or closing costs. Of course, the design center is a profit center for the builder, so it is a win-win. The builder keeps the money in-house, and the buyer gets that amazing kitchen.

While flexible incentive money is being used throughout the nation, a recent report by Zonda, an industry market research company, shows that Florida has the largest share of communities using incentives as motivation for buyers to commit.

And to drill down even further, the report showed approximately 80 percent of communities in the Orlando market are on the incentive bandwagon.

PERCH YOURSELF IN A NEW HOME BUILT WITH PERSONAL WELLNESS AT THE FOREFRONT

Eric Rey and Bianca Khoury couldn’t have chosen a more apropos name for their homebuilding and real estate business in Winter Park. With a focus on finding homesites for those who want to live in the heart of the city, the husband-and-wife team will build custom homes that incorporate themes of wellness.

The name Urban Perch Boutique Homes, Rey explains, came from the couple’s intent to do more infill construction in such urban areas as Winter Park and College Park.

“We liked the word “perch” as it relates to these older neighborhoods where an abundance of big old trees provides perches for birds,” he adds. “And if you visit our office space, it has a very boutique — small and sophisticated — feel. (The company’s website refers to available homes as “available perches.”)

Both Rey and Khoury grew up in Orlando. Rey, whose parents started Rey Homes in Orlando in 1978, was immersed in the homebuilding business as a youngster. He graduated from the University of Florida with a business degree, and later earned his general contractor license.

Khoury has an international business degree from Rollins College and is also a realtor and yoga instructor who has a

keen sense of wellness that incorporates physical, emotional and social wellbeing on a holistic level.

“We develop all the available homes on our website,” Rey says. “We purchase the property, design the product, make all the selections and list to sell.” notes Rey. He and Khoury also work with clients to help them find close-in homesites where custom homes can be built.

Although Urban Perch doesn’t have a particular architectural look, its building style has the overall feel of openness and airiness. Aesthetically, you’ll frequently see soft white exteriors with contrasting colors in driveways, light fixtures or darker (sometimes black) windows frames. Urban Perch has built homes ranging in size from 1,450 to 7,000 square feet that are priced from $1.5 to $3.5 million. Homebuyers are often impressed with how spacious the homes feel, which Rey attributes to the use of numerous windows that help create volume — even in smaller designs.

The couple’s interest in wellness has fueled their drive to be the area’s “Wellness Builder.” Khoury says that all the company’s homes include such standard wellness features as water purification and clean air filtration systems. Many also boast gyms, saunas and aromatherapy units.

Currently Urban Perch has about 13 homes in some phase of development and more in the pipeline. A small development of 15-30 custom homes is in their future expansion plans.  n

OSPREY RANCH IS NEAR ATTRACTIONS, SHOPPING AND NATURAL BEAUTY

It may seem like you’re in Walt Disney World’s backyard when you live in Osprey Ranch, a brand-new community west of State Road 429 (the Western Beltway) and north of U.S. Highway 192.

But head farther west and nature abounds, with Lake Louisa State Park offering hiking trails, kayaking and even horseback riding. Shopping and dining at Flamingo Crossings Village and Winter Garden Village are just short drives away.

The community’s prime West Orange County location provides easy access to both urban and more rural areas and activities. Commuters have easy access to major roads: Interstate 4, U.S. Highway 192 and State Roads 429 and 535 (known in Orange County as Apopka-Vineland Road).

Osprey Ranch, being developed by K. Hovnanian Homes, is one of many new neighborhoods springing up on both sides of New Hartzog Road in Winter Garden. It’s built to order (literally) for those seeking a brand-new community and a brand-

new home.

K. Hovnanian has been a force in Central Florida since 2005, and Osprey Ranch signals a continuation of the company’s formidable presence.

“We prioritize that particular area, not only for the Winter Garden address and the great local schools, but also the proximity to the theme parks,” says Gretta Akellino, vice president of sales. “That makes it easy for people who either work at the parks or enjoy frequenting them on a regular basis.”

Akellino also points out the area’s family friendliness and top-notch schools. However, there are three things that truly set Osprey Ranch apart from other communities.

First, buyers can choose from three product lines: townhomes, 32-foot homesites and 50-foot homesites. Second, they’ll find homes that meet the needs of buyers and families of all sizes. And third, they’ll find an array of price ranges aimed at various demographic groups.

The boutique-style community is designed for 214 homes. In the front, flanking the main entrance from New Hartzog Road, there’ll be 62 townhomes. Two-bedroom units, which measure 1,276 square feet, are priced in the low $400s while three-bedroom units, which measure 1,533 square feet, are priced in the low $500s.

Single-family homes on 32-foot homesites, sized at 1,536 square feet, include one-story homes with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. They’re priced from the low $500s.

Two-story homes, also on 32-foot homesites, are sized at 2,156 to 2,743 square feet (depending on the model) with three to four bedrooms and two- to 2.5 bathrooms. They’re priced from the mid-$500s.

The 50-foot homesites accommodate larger homes. K. Hovnanian offers one- or two-story homes ranging in size from 2,445 to 4,008 square feet with three to five bedrooms, two- to 4.5 bathrooms and two- or three-car garages. They’re priced from the mid-$600s.

Three models were set to open in December of 2023. Looking to the future, Osprey Ranch plans a second phase of 60 homes in 2025, to be developed on adjacent wooded land.  n

Although David Weekley can boast building more than 100,000 homes since launching his business from a construction trailer from the middle of a field in the 1970s, it’s always been about the American dream for the owner/founder of David Weekley Homes.

Weekley overcame recessions and survived real estate crises as he honed his skills as a homebuilder and sharpened his business acumen. One thing he always did was question run-of-themill designs and look for ways to blur the line between custom and production homes.

GETTING COMFY WITH TECHNOLOGY

BUILDER GREG HARWICK HELPS BUYERS GET SMART ABOUT THEIR SMART HOMES.

We live in a world where technology has made its way into almost every aspect of our lives — including our homes. For some, it makes life easier; for others, more challenging. Anyone who has ever struggled to figure out a streaming service knows that our homes are the last places we want technology to frustrate us.

Greg Hardwick, founder and president/ owner of Hardwick General Contracting in Maitland, has been building high-end luxury houses for 20 years. And over those two decades, technology and automation have become major elements of the home design process.

“We work very hard to match the level of technology with the expectations of the owner,” says Hardwick, who as a professional engineer is comfortable in the burgeoning home-technology arena.

One of the first things Hardwick does when he meets with clients to discuss the design process is to conduct a “lifestyle assessment” on their level of home-technology expectations.

“We’re very careful not to push home technology and automation beyond what customers are actually looking for to make their lifestyles more convenient,” says Hardwick, whose custom homes usually range in size from 6,000 to 12,000 square feet and are priced from $2 million.

High-tech options he offers may range from a few WiFi dimmers

controlled via an app to lighting and shade automation matched to circadian rhythms — which in essence are the physical, mental and behavioral changes an organism (including humans) experiences over a 24hour cycle.

HOME ILLUMINATION

The discussion starts with lighting control. Buyers want the convenience of being able to turn off the majority of lights in the home without having a wall stacked with five or six switches. Cleaner walls, minus switches, add aesthetic appeal to a custom home, Hardwick points out. Buyers also want to use artificial lighting to set the scene, which is different in the morning, the afternoon and the evening — when you may be entertaining guests over dinner or watching a movie with the family.

When it comes to natural light in the home, shading is important — and many buyers favor automated draperies and window shades. At this point, Hardwick says, a basic lighting control package addressing the treatment of both artificial and natural light is designed.

Says Hardwick: “If a client says to me, ‘Wow this is great stuff, Greg, let’s keep going,’ then we start talking about circadian rhythm in lighting, which is still kind of on the cutting-edge of lighting technology.”

Hardwick admits that even some of his most knowledgeable buyers will only opt for circadian rhythm lighting in limited areas, usually in the bedroom, the living and common areas.

“You can actually program the light to emulate the sun as it passes over the property,” he notes. “In the morning, you can get those warmer yellow wake-up colors, sunrise-type colors.”

The lighting is controlled to match the sun as it moves closer to being directly overhead and when it gradually comes down as sunset approaches — all in an effort to complement your biological clock.

AUTOMATION BEYOND LIGHTING

From lighting automation, Hardwick takes clients through other more basic requests. WiFi and controllable thermostats, for example, are long-established technologies and may be found in pretty much every home built over the past decade.

There’s also the ability to control appliances, air conditioning, garage doors and plumbing fixtures. Hardwick says that he finds that there’s a wide range of appetites for home technology from one buyer to another.

The question is: How far do you want to go? Many buyers, says Hardwick, also request controlled lighting to some extent, particularly in the kitchen, dining room, family room, entertainment area, master bedroom and perhaps outdoor living areas connected to the house.

Notes Hardwick: “Generally it becomes, ‘OK, I’m controlling my lights and now I have all these other internet-connected devices. How do I control those without several different apps?’”

When clients aren’t ready to go all in, technology wise, Hardwick says he tries to “future-proof” the house as much as possible by providing wired internet connections in every room where there may be a need later on.

“This allows homeowners to add more technology at a slower pace when they’re ready,” he adds.

PROVIDERS & TECH GURUS

Obviously, using all this technology is going to rely on the strength of the buyer’s internet-service provider. But there are always outages regardless, which is why everything is programmed to still work even without the internet.

“Generally, we design a lot of these things so that if the internet is down, you can still turn your lights on, watch TV and continue to do all these things,” says Hardwick. “So if your main internet connection goes down, there’s a way to swap over to a cellular network.”

A home can even be wired to go use satellite technology for people who really want to maintain functionality no matter what.

The higher you climb on the home-technology scale, the more you’ll need a third-party lighting technician or hometechnology guru. Hardwick encourages hiring a professional, especially when you’re spending at least $500,000 on technology alone.

The more complex the technology the more likely you are to make a costly mistake that a specialist could have helped you avoid. Plus, a specialist may recommend new solutions or products that aren’t yet widely used. Hardwick has a list for his buyers that includes top professionals from across the country.

MANY BOOMER BUYERS ARE FINDING THEIR WAY TO THE REGION’S RESORT-STYLE, ACTIVE-ADULT COMMUNITIES.

When it comes to the allure of active-adult communities in Central Florida, there certainly are plenty of amenities and housing options to make an overwhelming case for their popularity. Yet, demographics across the region and, in fact, the entire nation pretty much say it all.

Consider this: More than 22 million people live in Florida, and one in five is age 65 or older. Nationwide, there are roughly 73 million baby boomers, with an estimated 10,000 of them turning 65 every day. And all of those boomers — born between 1946 and 1964 — will reach 65 by 2030, when they’ll make up about one-fifth of the U.S. population.

As a result, what once was a group that stirred social unrest and shaped pop culture in the 1960s and ’70s is still a force today. Collectively, they’re increasingly known as the “silver tsunami.”

According to the National Association of Realtors, in June 2022 boomers became the largest share of homebuyers for the first time since 2012, purchasing 39 percent of all homes sold during that time.

Another telling statistic: Boomers own more than double the amount of real estate held by millennials and about four times more than Gen Xers. And although they may have once vowed never to trust anyone over age 30, they’re now gravitating to active-adult communities where you have to be at least age 55 to buy there.

Typically, 55-plus communities are found in vibrant locations and feature amenities that are geared toward recreation and social lifestyles — precisely what today’s boomers are seeking, says the National Association of Home Builders.

In the NAHB’s words: “Many desire the sense of community that comes with living in a place made for residents who are looking to remain engaged and independent.”

Most often, residents in active-adult communities enjoy such communal amenities as pools, recreation centers, social events, hiking trails, tennis courts and nearby restaurants and shopping. All the better in Central Florida, where the temperature during the coldest month (January) rarely drops below the 50s.

Then there are the real estate realities that are tied to real-world life circumstances. Among the most notable is downsizing — empty-nester boomers want smaller homes that require minimal maintenance and feature ample design versatility.

Not coincidentally, more than 2,000 active-adult communities are spread across the United States. And many more are both planned and under construction. So, where are the gems in our region? Here’s a sampling.

At Tohoqua Reserve in Kissimmee, part of the 730-acre community of Tohoqua, Pulte Homes offers a new collection of single-family and villa homes, with prices starting at $307,990 for floorplans sized from 1,579 to 2,870 square feet. Among the amenities are a resort-style pool, a clubhouse with meeting/ social rooms, a fitness center, walking trails and sports courts. It’s the only gated section of Tohoqua.

In addition, Tohoqua Reserve sits adjacent to 370-acre Twin Oak Park, which features trails along Lake Tohopekaliga. In addition, there are more than five miles of community trails that link to the Florida National Scenic Trail.

Notably, residents have access to the non-age-restricted amenities of the entire Tohoqua community — ideal for when grandchildren and other family members visit. Also, the medical facilities of Lake Nona are approximately a 15-minute drive away, as are shopping centers in this fast-growing area of Osceola County.

Likewise boasting a scenic natural setting in Kissimmee, along with resort-style amenities, is K. Hovnanian’s Four Seasons Orlando. There, behind its guarded gates, single-family homes are offered priced from the low $500s.

For example, the one-story Saint Lucia model, priced starting at $527,990, measures 1,969 square feet with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a two-car garage. The floorplan has an impressive kitchen with a large center island, a spacious dining area overlooking a lanai, and an owner’s suite with a walk-in shower and an oversized closet.

Likewise in Kissimmee, Taylor Morrison Homes has Solivita, with Tuscan-inspired one-story homes that range in size from 1,364 to 1,723 square feet. The homes, which have two to three bedrooms and two bathrooms with 2.5-car garages, are priced from $282,000. The open-concept floorplans feature designer kitchens and spacious primary suites.

Solivita has earned more than 70 awards for design, community planning and environmental sustainability. There are more than 150,000 square feet of premium amenities, such as the Palms Amenity Complex, which includes a complete fitness center with a full-time fitness staff, an outdoor heated pool, whirlpools, an expansive deck and an outdoor fireplace.

Lighted pickleball courts and Har-Tru tennis courts are also popular attractions. The two-story Waterfront Galleries holds games, arts and crafts studios and a library. In addition, Freedom Park, a large outdoor recreation complex, offers horseshoe pits, a baseball field, Bocce and pickleball courts, outdoor pavilions and a dog park with a fenced area and water fountains. The Stonegate Golf Club at Solivita is semiprivate.

Not far away, Jones Homes has Twin Lakes in St. Cloud. As the name implies, this 1,000-acre gated community rests on the shores of Live Oak Lake.

Prices for villas and single-family homes top out in the $600s. The villas, with four floorplans from which to choose, offer up to 1,450 square feet of living area, while the single-family floorplans, one- and two-story, boast up to 3,150 square feet with large open living rooms, formal dining rooms and master suites. You can select from eight single-family floorplans.

Residents enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking and canoeing. There are also sports courts, a gym, a pool, an aerobics stu-

Del Webb is certainly a name to keep in mind, with four 55-plus communities across the region. In Orange County’s fast-growing Winter Garden, located just two miles from Walt Disney World Resort, there’s Del Webb Oasis, where prices range from $421,990 to $738,090.

Typically, the models at Del Webb Oasis feature spacious master suites and mini suites with adjoining laundry rooms, plenty of convenient storage and open floorplans that have numerous versatile spaces. Recreational amenities in the community include sports courts, a fishing dock, community gardens and walking paths.

Del Webb Viera in coastal Brevard County is located on more than 500 acres, with plans for approximately 1,300 homes. The single-family homes, similar to those available in other Del Webb communities, are priced from the high $300s. Amenities include a 30,000-square-foot clubhouse, a sports court, a fitness center and an onsite tavern and grill restaurant.

At Del Webb Minneola in Lake County, residents enjoy some of the region’s highest elevations (and views) along with the other typical Del Webb community assets. Single-family homes are priced starting at $405,990 for three model collections, which range in size from 1,405 to 3,453 square feet.

One example is the Hallmark model, which measures 1,655 square feet (with options for more space) and is priced starting at $425,990. The Hallmark contains an owner’s suite with a large walk-in closet, cohesive gathering areas and a covered lanai, among other elements.

Villa and single-family homes at gated Del Webb Sunbridge in Osceola County’s St. Cloud range in price from $383,990 to $697,890 and are sized from 1,405 to 3,453 square feet. There are four home collections from which to choose.

For example, the Villa Series contains the Ellenwood model, priced from $383,990, which contains two or three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is sized at 1,579 square feet.

The Distinctive Series includes the Prestige model, priced at $524,990 for 2,080 (or more) square feet. It encompasses two or three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a two-car garage. A luxurious owner’s suite includes a spacious owner’s bath, a walkin closet and a laundry room.

Amenities? Of course. The lengthy list at Del Webb Sunbridge is led by a large clubhouse, a zero-entry pool with lap lanes, tennis courts and an on-site tavern and grille restaurant.

Also in Lake County, Medallion Homes has The Lakes of Mount Dora with homes priced starting at $449,100 and ranging in size from 1,525 to 2,862 square feet with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and three-car garages.

The community is planned for more than 1,000 single-family homes. Most homesites are waterfront or offer water views. The Bermuda model, the most expensive model at $714,950, offers four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a two-car garage. It boasts 2,322 square feet of open-concept living space.

Among the amenities are an 18,000-square-foot clubhouse, a fitness studio, a library, a pool and lap pool, sports courts, walking trails, RV/boat storage and numerous clubs.

Heritage Hills by Lennar is a gated, Mediterranean-inspired active adult community in the fast-growing Lake County community of Clermont. Home choices — priced from the low $300s to the mid-$500s — include attached villas and single-family homes with well-designed floorplans and low-maintenance exteriors.

Construction of Heritage Hills started in 2006, and at completion the community will encompass 1,154 homes. There are two models in the Villas Collection (which range in size from 1,400 to 1,517 square feet). Single-family models are spread across three collections (which range in size from 1,582 to 2,935 square feet) with private master suites, eat-in kitchens and covered lanais.

A 19,000-square-foot, Mediterranean-inspired clubhouse takes center stage at Heritage Hills, along with sports courts and a heated outdoor pool. Plus, there are plenty of walking

and biking trails with parks and natural spaces as well as a dog park, a picnic area and a gazebo.

Finally in Lake County is Trilogy Orlando — a quintessential 55-plus resort-style community actually located in Groveland, not Orlando.

Talk about amenities. Trilogy Orlando has a 57,000-squarefoot clubhouse called the Magnolia House that contains an athletic club with state-of-the-art treadmills, elliptical trainers,

Other amenities include a pool and whirlpool surrounded by a patio with chaise lounges and shaded areas. Of course, pickleball and bocce ball courts are available, too.

Trilogy Orlando began development in 2005. In 2010, Shea Homes acquired the community and is advancing toward a total of 1,500 homes, which currently encompass eight home collections and almost 40 floorplans priced from the high $200s to the low $500s.

In East Orange County you’ll find The Gatherings at Lake Nona by Beazer Homes, which consists of condominiums in clusters of four-story buildings. The units are priced from the $400s for up to three bedrooms and two bathrooms encompassed within 1,805 square feet.

Six single-floor condo models are available. The buildings are access-controlled and have private garages. Internet and cable television are included in the units, which are certified by Energy Star. Amenities include lake views, a resort-style pool with ample lounging areas, tennis courts and a fenced dog park.

In Volusia County, a big award winner is Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Beach, inspired by the lifestyle and music of the late Jimmy Buffet. It’s been named “Best 55+ Community of the Year” by the NAHB. At approximately 3,000 homes when complete, Latitude Margaritaville will be one of the largest master-planned communities ever built in the Volusia-Flagler County area.

The project — developed by a separate division of Minto Communities — has 13 furnished models with 19 floorplans, ranging in size from 1,204 to 2,568 square feet and priced from the $300s. The floorplans are divided into four collections: the Conch Cottages, the Caribbean Collection (villas), the Beach Collection (single-family homes) and the Island Collection (also single-family homes).

One example within the Beach Collection is the 1,684square-foot Coconut model with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a den. There’s also a covered lanai and a two-car garage. The model is priced at $408,990.

Also, there’s a fully outfitted gym with a Spin Room, indoor whirlpool spa and lap pool.

Also in Volusia County, Cresswind DeLand by Kolter Homes is a gated community that boasts the builder’s award-winning  “Set Yourself FREE” lifestyle program. The program is based on the cornerstones of fitness, relationships, education and entertainment.

As one example, the resident-only clubhouse, which overlooks Lake Winnemissett, offers 55-plus neighbors a place to

gather and participate in social activities facilitated by a full-time lifestyle director. Outdoor amenities include pickleball and tennis courts, walking trails, a resort-style pool and spa, a resistance pool, a dog park, and event and entertainment areas.

As for the new homes, they range from two to five bedrooms, and are sized up to 2,776 square feet. Prices range from 375,990 to $583,990, and there are 13 floorplans from which to choose. (That top price is for the two-story Sarah model, with three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and an optional second floor.)

Through the years, the community has endured and, in fact, continues to boom today — much like the many other communities which, reflective of their buyers, are active indeed. n

Daytona Beach’s brightly lit boardwalk is known to vacationers and spring breakers, of course. But the World’s Most Famous Beach is within easy driving distance of anywhere in Central Florida.

Geographically, Volusia County sits 50 miles northeast of Orlando, between the St. Johns River and the Atlantic Ocean. But these days, in a region where the growth is pushing outward in all four directions, geography doesn’t mean as much as it once did.

Indeed, as metro Orlando spreads north and east along Interstate 4 through Seminole County, west Volusia is directly in growth’s path.

Today the area, once identified almost exclusively with Daytona Beach (population 72,600), is emerging as a suburb of Orlando. For example, with 96,000 residents, Deltona has long since surpassed Daytona Beach as the largest municipality in the county. It has seen monumental growth since 1980.

Much of the activity is spurred by commercial development along the High-Tech Corridor, which runs the length of Interstate 4 between Tampa and Daytona Beach.

In addition, the widening of the Interstate 4/St. Johns River Bridge alleviated one of the region’s most annoying traffic bottlenecks, making the western portion of Volusia an easy 30-minute commute to downtown Orlando.

Buyers have discovered the impressive stock of historic homes west of downtown DeLand (population 37,700), which is clearly one of the coolest small towns in Florida.

The quaint downtown district, which is on the National

Register of Historic Places, is thick with eateries and antique shops. And stately Stetson University, which has been located here since 1883, adds an air of permanence.

Meanwhile, tiny Lake Helen (population 2,800) is holding its breath as Victoria Park adds 4,000 homes and 10,000 residents right near the city’s border. The rural enclave is expected to grow nearly 20 percent by 2025.

Those interested in more natural settings, plus an unusual lunch, may head north on U.S. 17 to De León Springs State Park, where you can cook your own pancakes at the Old Spanish Sugar Mill and then paddle a canoe through the wilderness.

In the winter, manatees seeking warmer water can be seen lolling around at Blue Springs State Park. In the summer, humans seeking relief plunge into the same bubbling blue oasis.

Many of the changes in Volusia County involve Daytona Beach, especially around Interstate 95 and LPGA Boulevard.

Five or six years ago, big stories included the arrival of a Trader Joe’s distribution center, the opening of Tanger Outlets Mall and the Tomoka Town Center, and the completion of a new headquarters site for TopBuild Corp., a Fortune 1000 company.

Then came more retail, restaurants, apartment complexes and the massive live/work/play communities of Mosaic and Latitude Margaritaville.

MAKING THE GRADE

School grades provide an easily understandable way to measure the performance of a school. Schools are graded A, B, C, D or F, and the grade is determined using up to 11 components. There are four achievement components, which are calculated using student performance on statewide standardized assessments, including comprehensive assessments, end-of-course (EOC) assessments and Florida Alternate Assessments (FAA). The achievement components measure the percentage of full-year enrolled students who achieve a passing score. There are also learning gains components and a middle school acceleration component, as well as high school acceleration and graduation rate components. Each component is worth up to 100 points in the overall calculation. The four achievement components — English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies — are shown on the following pages. Also shown are school grades for two years, high school graduation rates and the percentage of students on free or reduced lunch programs.
