The Board of Trustees is the official policy-making body of the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District. The seven trustees, five single member districts and two at-large districts, serve staggered 3-year terms. The Board of Trustees meet several times a month during the school year to adopt, review and modify policies and to receive input from staff and the community. All meetings are posted at least 72 hours in advance by the Office of Board Services. The regular monthly board meeting is held the third Monday of every month in the SMCISD board room at the SMCISD Central Office, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Trustees also hold special meetings and work sessions as needed.
