Horsemanship Shows – Rules and Information 1. Registration starts at 7:30 AM on show day. Classes start at 9 AM.
2. Stalls are available for $25. All stall fees benefit the Lone Star Pony Club! Your $25 check is payable to Lone Star Pony Club when you arrive at the show. Bring your own shavings. Grounds fee (if not stalling) - $10. RV hookups also available - $30. 3. Entry Fees: $5 office charge, $10 per class or $30 All Classes (Horsemanship, Trail, Discipline Rail) fee for each age division (office fee included in the All Classes fee). For riders in both Horsemanship & Playday Shows, only 1 office fee and/or grounds fee will be charged. 4. Proof of current negative Coggins is required for entry. 5. Divisions: Rider age is determined as of January 1, 2015 and rider will show that division throughout the series. - 13 & Under - 14 – 18 - 19 & Over / Amateur Only - Open / all ages Riders may participate in appropriate age division as well as the Open division and be eligible for awards in both divisions. 6. Classes: Horsemanship Pattern Class, Discipline Rail, Trail. 7. Dress Code: Button down shirt and helmets or hat are required. 8. Class rules and judging will follow the rules of AQHA for Horsemanship and Trail.* Rules are available online – www.caqha.com - look under the DSRP Shows tab. Patterns will be posted the day of the event. Judges decisions are final. Any grievance must be written and filed with the Show Committee by the end of show, accompanied with a $50 fee. *Exception: Any horse, regardless of age, may be shown two-handed in a snaffle bit. 9. English saddles and equipment are allowed in all classes. 10. Classes may be combined, deleted or added at the discretion of the Show Committee. 11. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st through 6th at each show for each class. 12. Riders may only show one horse in the 13 & Under, 14 – 18 and 19 & Over division at each show. Riders may show multiple horses in the Open division at each show. 13. Horses may only be shown in each division once. 14. Riders must ride the same horse at all events to be eligible for Show Series Awards and Championships. 15. Must show in 2 out of 3 shows to qualify for Show Series awards and Championships. 16. Show Series Awards for each division will be handed out at the August show. See Show Series Awards below for details.

17. Champions will receive their awards and be honored at the DSRP - CAQHA Awards Banquet at DSRP in the fall. 18. Ties for Show Series Awards will be broken by the cumulative number of first places won, then the number of second places, third places, etc. 19. Riders will practice safe horsemanship. Unsafe practices will result in disqualification from the show. 20. Riders are responsible for any damage caused by them or their horse 21. All pets must be on a leash. Point System as Follows:

Saturdays - May 30, July 18, August 15 Entries close: 7 p.m. Wednesday prior to each show date Event Schedule Jumper classes begin @ 7:30 a.m., starting with the Crossrail-18” Division. Approximate Ride Times will be emailed on the Friday before the Show. The order of go for each class will run in ascending order of the numbers assigned for the show. For example, number 106 will ride 1st in the class, followed by number 107, then number 108. Show Manager: Kim Arnette (arnetteeq@gmail.com) (512) 567-4784. Show Information & Rules: Entries: Please use the Jumper Entry Form; submit one entry per horse/rider combination. Horse may not be entered in more than 3 divisions. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Faxed or phone entries will not be accepted, but arrangements for timely entry receipt can probably be made with the Show Manager. A minor rider’s parent or legal guardian, not a trainer, must sign for entrants under the age of 18. A complete entry is comprised of a signed entry form, proof of negative Coggins (within the past 12 months including all dates present at event venue), and complete payment. See entry form for fee schedule. There is a $50 fee for checks returned NSF. Closing Date: The closing date for Jumper classes without penalty is 7 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to each show date. Late Entries – See Entry Form for fees: Late entries will only be accepted if ride times/space is available. Jumper class entries will be accepted until 7 a.m. on show day with late fee; Late fee is per horse/rider combination entry regardless of number/type of entry added as a new entry. Entry Fee $25/per class This division is designed to give Novice Riders who are new to the Jumper Arena an opportunity to compete over a full jumper course. Riders competing in this division may only cross enter into the 2 ft Jumper division. Additional Jumpers In the Hill Country Rules & Information Proof of Negative Coggins Required: This is required of all horses on the property regardless of their entry status. Attire & Tack: USEF rules apply. All riders must wear appropriate safety gear to include, at a minimum, shoes with a heel and a properly fitting and secured (with a chin strap) helmet - ASTM/SEI standards. No rider is allowed on the Jumper Show Grounds without a proper helmet or attire. Jumper Riders must wear a polo shirt, or show shirt with collar and breeches. Tall boots or paddock boots with garter straps are preferred, however Half chaps with matching paddock boots are allowed. Numbers must be displayed on rider or pinned on saddle pad all all times. Schedule Posting: Jumper ride times will be posted online and e-mailed to all riders no later than 12:00 noon on the Friday prior to the show. If you have a conflict, please contact the Show Secretary as soon as possible to resolve. Late entries will be added at Management’s discretion. Inclement Weather / Cancellation of Activities / Refunds: Due to limited scheduling options at the Park, there is no rain date set for this event. This event will be held in an outdoor facility. However, if cancellation of the show occurs prior to the start date/time due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, refunds will be given of class fees. Once begun, however, the show will go on unless the weather becomes life-threatening; no refunds will be made after the show starts. Refunds for stalls will not be given once a horse has been present in that space. If in doubt, call (512) 567-4784 before you haul! Cancellations/Scratches: If you must scratch your entry after the closing date, you forfeit all fees unless an equivalent entry type can be filled from a waitlist. You must check-in before your first ride. Show office is located in the building on the south end of the outdoor arena. Arena Availability & Schooling: The Jumper arena and warm up arena will be available for schooling beginning at approximately 2 p.m. on Friday until 7:30 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. the arena will be CLOSED for dragging and will remain closed until Saturday morning for the show. Schooling is allowed only for horses entered in the show, or for those who have paid a schooling fee as well as an office / medic fee. Lunging: Lunging is not permitted in the jumper arena or Warm up arena at any time. Horses may be lunged in the round pen adjacent to the jump arena and the field next to the jump arena. Show Information & Rules Entries: Please use the Dressage Entry Form; submit one entry per horse/rider combination. Horse may not be entered in more than 3 classes. Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Faxed or phone entries will not be accepted, but arrangements for timely entry receipt can probably be made with the Show Manager. A minor rider’s parent or legal guardian, not a trainer, must sign for entrants under the age of 18. A complete entry is comprised of a signed entry form, proof of negative Coggins (within the past 12 months including all dates present at event venue), and complete payment. See entry form for fee schedule. There is a $50 fee for checks returned NSF. Closing Date: The closing date for Dressage classes without penalty is 7 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to each show date. Late Entries – See Entry Form for fees: • Adding tests to an existing paid entry does not incur a late fee; • Dressage class entries will be accepted until 7:30 a.m. on show day with late fee; • Late fee is per horse/rider combination entry regardless of number/type of entry added as a new entry. • Late entries will only be accepted if ride times/space is available.
