Gaming News In the United Kingdom, Bingo is one of those games that can be played with up to 90 ball varieties and each of these number combinations come with their own special name call. A top reason why Bingo has remained so popular over the years is because it encourages socialization and even adds a little humor to your gameplay. Funny might seem like a stretch but if you’ve heard of the different calls for the number combinations, you’ll know what we’re talking about. Whenever you’re playing Bingo or even watching a film where they’re playing the game, you’ll hear them calling “2 as in Me and you or one little duck”. 2 got the one little duck calling from the number resembling the animal. HERE’S A LIST OF OUR TOP 10 BINGO NAMES AND HOW THEY CAME TO BE

is the Dancing Queen. The call came from the popular Abba Song that mentions the number in the lyrics.
21 is also called the Key of the Door as 21 is considered to be the age of majority or the entrance into adulthood. The legal age at which all are considered to be adults instead of teenagers.

is a fun one and is known as the Jump and Jive. With this little number many feel a hop in their step as it refers to a dance step.
44 the Droopy Drawers. This funny little number is a simple rhyme which refers to sagging trousers (often worn by the young).
59 calling The Brighton Line. This one has two little add-ons; it is a quote from The Importance of Being Earnest but 59 also used to be the 2 starting digits of all original Brighton telephone numbers.
74 Hit the Floor. A funny rhyme coined by Ann Fitzsimons.
80 called Ghandi’s Breakfast. A teasing call referring to him eating nothing.
88 Two Fat Ladies. Lastly this one usually gets the players interacting. Visually the number 88 represents two ladies sitting next to one another. In most cases when this number is called, bingo players will reply with “Wobble, Wobble” There is a different sort of magic in Bingo numbers and the callings connected to them. You’ll notice how some simply rhyme, other come from certain moments and objects from history, and then there are those that are just funny.
MAN SITS ON TOILET TO SET NEW GUINNESS RECORD
A Belgian man spent 116 consecutive hours sitting on a toilet in a local bar in a bid to set a new Guinness
World Record. Jimmy De Frenne sat on the toilet, which was not hooked up to any plumbing, in the main room of a bar in Ostend. De Frenne said Guinness does not yet have a record for longest time sitting on a toilet, but he was able to best an unofficial record of 100 hours. The record-seeker’s goal had been 165 hours, but he said he was forced to stop at 116 hours when lack of sleep started to catch up with him. De Frenne was allowed fiveminute breaks every hour to stretch and use a real toilet. Evidence from the attempt is now being submitted to Guinness for official recognition. 6

MEAL PREP EGG AND SAUSAGE MCMUFFIN This Meal Prep Egg and Sausage McMuffin is a healthier copycat version of the McDonald’s Sausage Egg McMuffin - it’s a delicious weekday breakfast with fewer calories!
PREP TIME 20 Mins
BAKE TIME
LEVEL
20 Mins
ingredients •
1 tbsp olive oil, divided
•
1 lb Ground chicken or turkey
•
1 tbsp fennel seeds
•
1 tsp paprika
•
1 tsp garlic powder
Easy
•
1 tsp salt
•
1/2 tsp pepper
•
6 eggs
•
6 cheddar cheese slices
•
6 English muffin
serves 6
instructions 1.
In a large bowl mix together ground turkey, fennel, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Form 6 patties.
2.
Preheat 1 tbsp olive oil over med-high heat and then add patties to skillet, cooking for 5 minutes per side until sausage patties are cooked all the way through.
3.
Meanwhile, lightly toast English muffins in a toaster, then add cheese slices to bottom of muffins. Remove sausages from heat and add them on top of cheese slices on muffins.
4.
Wipe frying pan clean with a paper towel, then spray with cooking spray and turn heat to med-low. Crack eggs into egg rings, ensuring that the rings are firmly touching bottom of skillet so eggs maintain a round shape (see link above for egg rings), then break yolk.
5.
Cover skillet with lid and cook eggs for about 4-5 minutes or until eggs are firm, then add on top of sausages and top with remaining English muffin buns. Serve and enjoy!

Meal Prep YOU CAN SAVE YOU HOURS OF YOUR LIFE AND GET HEALTHY IN 7 TIPS I could throw so many sayings at you to motivate you to read and practice meal prepping. Alan Lakein, time management expert, loves to say, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” This couldn’t be more true for your own personal life. While we are all busy planning things for other people, we generally prioritize ourselves last. Before we know it, we’re hitting the can of Pringles, bag of pepperoni, and if we’re lucky throw in some baby carrots and ranch then we get upset with ourselves when we realize our weight has escalated to something we said we would never hit. Before Monday comes (what is it with Mondays?) you can start making some of these moves to simplify your life.
1. SIMPLE – PLAN Bust out that calendar, smart device, whatever you are using to keep track of your family events or just daily life events. What do you have coming up? Have a BBQ on Sunday that you know you can’t miss? Write it down. This plan is supposed to work with you not the other way around or it will never work. Make a list of your favorite healthy foods. Don’t have any? We have a list for you on the side to choose from. Work your favorite recipes around these items.
2. MAKE A LIST & CHECK IT TWICE
There’s nothing more satisfying than marking an item off any list (to-do, random items, and in this case shopping). When you stick to your list you’re less likely to move to the inner aisles where the impulse purchases are. What works best for me – I only go to the groceries once a week and can feed my family of four at $100/wk.
10
THE BINGO NUGGET // AUG 2019
3. DON’T OVERCOMPLICATE FOOD Seriously, this is the biggest headache many people have. They want to put pizazz or add unnecessary items to their menu. If you know you have a sweet tooth, make those snacks full of yummy fruits and don’t add sugar or whipped cream. Your body is naturally used to nature’s candy - get back to the basics. If salty is your thing, try carrots and guacamole
4. SHORTCUTS FOR YOUR SANITY Don’t be a hero and think you can buy everything whole. Buy pre-cut veggies and fruits. Get those cans of lentils and beans. That rotisserie chicken will be able to cut down so much time. Not a meat eater? Get those frozen meat alternatives.
6. LET YOUR CREATIVE FLAG FLY I am a huge believer in repurposing things and making meals exciting. Eating the same thing every day will get boring but making a different meal every single day gets expensive and time consuming. So have two lunch options and two dinner options and change up the protein. Try a new protein - edamame, tofu, shrimp. Once you get the hang of meal prep, you’ll be able to get more creative.
7. DON’T GO CHEAP ON STORAGE Look, I’m a bargain queen but do not, just do not skimp on the food storage container. You will need various sizes for different meals. Make sure to get ones that are BPA-free so they won’t melt in the microwave or dishwasher.
5. BLOCK OUT 2 HOURS AND JUST COOK. All you need is 2 hours out of your week to cook your meals for the week ultimately saving time in your week. Roasting vegetables, sweet potatoes, proteins will cut down on your time and utility bill. You can get all of the sides ready in about 30 minutes.

MODERN MOM
make ahead LUNCHES FOR THEsave WEEK time It’s morning. You’re tired, and moving slow. Your brain is trying its best to remember all the morning tasks and get the kids off to school on time. About 5 minutes before the kids head out the door you remember you need to make their lunch. And then it’s crunch time. You worry if they’ve even remembered to brush their teeth as you open the fridge to see what they will be having for lunch. With not enough time…it’s either going to have to be hot lunch again or another boring peanut butter sandwich.
Sound familiar? This is pretty much my life. Always rushing, feeling like it was just too much hassle to do the whole “cold lunch” thing. Money is tight and so is time. I want my kids to have a healthy lunch but struggle with variety, time and preparation. I usually do really well for the first few weeks of school and then get lazy. I found that if I didn’t prepare the night before, it was a mad rush in the morning. But now I have a method that really works. I have been making a week’s worth of lunches all in ONE day for a year now, and it is the best thing for busy moms! This method has totally saved me.
ALL IN ONE DAY So how this works is the following: Once a week I chop and bag up all the fresh fruit, vegetables, crackers and any other lunch items all at once. Then I add them to 3 lunch buckets to store in my fridge, freezer and pantry. The kids can quickly grab the items to throw in their lunches themselves in the morning or evening before and my work is done. Takes a ton of stress away. 16

DRY GOODS LUNCH BIN The dry good lunch bin currently sits in my pantry. It’s filled with individual bags of dry lunch items such as bagged pretzels, crackers, granola bars, trail mix, treats and more. Here is a list of ideas of dry lunch items: Crackers Pretzels Fruit Cups or applesauce Granola or Trail Mix Granola Bars Popcorn Nuts Beef Jerky Chips Graham Crackers Cookies or brownie bites
COLD REFRIGERATOR LUNCH BIN The cold lunch bin sits in my Refrigerator. The cold lunch bin holds all the cold lunch items that need to stay refrigerated. Once a week I will separate grapes, chop oranges or apples (if I did apples I would first soak them in pineapple juice or fruit fresh so they keep longer), and chop carrot or celery sticks.
Here is a list of ideas for cold items: String Cheese Yogurt Carrots Sliced apples Pasta salad Sliced oranges Mandarin oranges, whole Green peppers, sliced Celery sticks Grapes, cherries, cantaloupe Seasonal fruit cut up Green Salads Turkey Rollups Hummus
FROZEN FREEZER LUNCH BIN I typically just fill up my bin in the freezer with sandwiches or frozen homemade yogurt tubes. I have found that the easiest way for me to make the sandwich part is to take a large roll or sandwich bun, add in meat and cheese only, wrap and freeze individually. My children will take them out in the morning frozen, add them to their lunches and by the time it’s lunch at school the sandwich has thawed. If they must have the condiments on their sandwiches, you can always add them in between the meat and cheese as it won’t penetrate the bread and make it all soggy. But don’t add in your lettuce or it will be a gross slimy mess. If your child likes lettuce, pickles, peppers or anything else on their sandwiches you could always make up individual bags of sandwich fixings and add it to the cold refrigerator lunch bin. Wraps and quesadillas will also freeze really well (my kids will eat them cold.) Here is a list of ideas for freezer bin: Meat & Cheese Sandwiches Peanut butter & jelly sandwiches Quesadillas Yogurt tubes Wraps AUG 2019 \\ THE BINGO NUGGET

SENIOR LIVING
BY: MELANIE TAWIL
Last month the world was shocked when Stevie Wonder revealed during his London concert that he was going to be undergoing a kidney transplant in September. Kidney disease can develop at any time, but those over the age of 60 are more likely than not developing kidney disease. As people age, their kidneys do as well. The disease affects more than 30 million Americans, or 1 in 7, have chronic kidney disease and don’t know it yet. According to Johns Hopkins University, more than 50 percent of seniors over the age of 75 are believed to have kidney disease. Dr. Beth Piraino from the National Kidney Foundation states “that older Americans may not realize they are at increased risk until it’s too late.” The National Kidney Foundation asks everyone over the age of 60 get screened for kidney disease with their health care provider. The test will screen for protein in the urine, which is the earliest sign of of kidney damage as well as a blood test for kidney function. The symptoms of kidney disease can sneak up on you. Awareness of kidney disease, especially if you’re at risk, is the first step to preventing or slowing down the progression of disease. Some of the major risk factors for kidney disease include (but are not limited to): high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney stones, a family history of kidney failure, prolonged use of over-the counter pain medications, and being over the age of 60. When they kidneys become damaged and are unable to function properly, fluid can build up in the body and waste can build up in the blood. Avoiding certain foods in the diet can improve kidney function, may decrease waste build up in the blood, and prevent further damage. So say you need to adopt a kidney sensitive diet, what foods can you eat then? Let’s get to the top 5 foods you should probably avoid in order to maintain kidney health.
1. Dark Colored Soda. Sodas in general just aren’t

that healthy for you to begin with and offer 0 nutritional support. Dark sodas contain additives like phosphorus to prolong shelf life, add flavor, and prevent discoloration. This chemical compound is highly absorbable by the human body and this means it can cause some damage to your kidneys. Avocados. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this heart healthy fat that is rich in fiber and antioxidants contain a high amount of potassium. This potassium makes it very difficult for your body to properly dispose of it naturally. Canned Foods. Sodium is always a dangerous culprit when it comes to canned foods. If you’re looking for the convenience factor, opt for the lower-sodium or those with the label “no salt added” instead. Whole-Wheat Bread. It’s crazy say this one but this may be when white bread is better for you as it contains a lower amount of phosphorus and potassium. Compare sodium levels because not all bread labels are baked equally. Brown Rice. Much like whole-wheat bread, brown rice is a whole grain that has a higher potassium and phosphorus level than its counterpart, white rice. Another great option is bulgur, buckwheat, pearled barley, and couscous.
You will want to stick with whole foods when working with a renal (kidney) diet. Stock up on red bell peppers, cabbage, cauliflower, garlic, and onions to name a few. Talk to your renal dietitian about incorporating a healthy lifestyle and diet into your plan and make sure that you stock your kitchen with healthy, delicious, and kidney friendly foods.

La Sorrentina
3330 Culebra Rd TX 78228 (210) 549-0889 lasorrentinasa.com I absolutely love La Sorrentina. Was recommended by uncle and Dad and I tried both the fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp as well as (my favorite dish) Penne A La Vodka. These are top of the line dishes with flavors so robust you’ll want to try everything on the menu. I can’t wait to come back and try more. This is the best Italian I have had in San Antonio so far and I have had plenty of Italian.

This is our favorite Italian spot in Austin! Service is excellent and food is always amazing!! They also have the best complimentary (first basket) bread I have ever had at an Italian restaurant. You would never expect such a delicious meal from a restaurant tucked away in a strip mall.

cafe Italia
4117 S Staples St 78411 (361) 929-5835 This place is a find. I was not expecting a good place like this. We were passing this city and craving for a good pasta. Honestly we were hopeless. Me and my father are very picky with pasta and to impress my old man is not an easy task. He love this place. Soup, bread, pasta. Everything was great. If you are in town or live there this is a must go place.Thank me later.

Lomonte’s
815 Plantation Dr. Ste 180 Richmond, TX 77406 (281) 232-8290 Lomontesrestaurant.com The outside doesn’t match the inside. Waking in I thought I was going to a strip center restaurant but once I was in it was super warm n cozy. Service was exceptional (even after my son spilled water all over the table n chair) and every item we ordered was delicious

Games & puzzles The rules of Sudoku are that you should fill a number into every cell in the grid, using numbers 1 to 9. The restriction is that you can only use each number once in each row, each column and in each 3 x 3 boxes.
