I am extremely proud to serve as the superintendent for our hardworking students, staff, parents and community in Huntsville ISD. Our local public school district provides opportunities for all students, regardless of their strengths or challenges, and some of these opportunities are simply not available in many other places.
From Early Childhood programs to advanced academic and college courses offered at our high school, and at every age in between, we teach a rigorous academic curriculum that produces more graduates on the Distinguished Level of Achievement Plan than the state average. Additionally, we offer the most Career and Technology pathways of any area school, resulting in a higher percentage of graduates obtaining an Industry Based Certification than the state average. To complete a comprehensive education, we offer a wide array of athletic teams and fine arts programs, competing successfully against other 5A and 6A schools annually. These opportunities, along with a variety of other clubs and organizations, educate the whole child and develop a love for school and learning.

HISD reflects the values of our local community because we are a true public school. Our citizens have a voice in our governance through local school board elections, and we are academically and financially accountable to the public. These facts set us apart from many others and reinforce my passion for true public schools. We offer a pathway to a successful future for all children, not just a select few.
Huntsville ISD is on the rise, with improved academic performance over the past 6 years, and now, first class facilities provided by community support of Bond 2021. The following pages offer a glimpse of the many things we have to be proud of in Huntsville ISD. Help us spread the great news about our local hometown school district!
