Favorite Game This Season:
Region final game vs. Somerset. We trailed by 12 points in the 4th quarter with 4 minutes left. We cut the lead down three late and as I went up for a layup I got fouled and got the and-one at the buzzer. With no time left, down 54-55, I knocked down the free throw for the tie to send it to overtime. In overtime we pulled away with a 69-63 win. We were only the third team in school history to be Regional Champions.

With ten seconds left, I put my team ahead by one and showed everyone how bad I wanted to win and how hard I had been playing that night. It honestly just felt like my kind of game and after all the trainings and practices I felt as a team we deserved to be put in that position to shine and show our true selfs.

When we went upstate to San Antonio. Upstate, everyone may know the teams up there are stronger and tougher. After we finished the first 2 tough games, I realized as a teammate this season was going to be a great season. It was a very amazing experience to be able to stay the night and have a two day tournament. After the tournament I believe our team grew closer within one another.
My favorite memory so far has to be our trip to San Antonio. That’s when I noticed we could bound as a team. Going over there was a lot of competition, which gave us the opportunity to play against better and improved teams. We had lots of fun together, we had a lot of hard laughs. My team makes all the times I’ve had with them fun. So in general, I would have to say every time I was with my team is my favorite memory.

Favorite Game This Season:
The Brownsville tournament when we played Mission Vets. During that game my team worked together and lifted each other up when we needed it the most. Although we lost the game, it was the best game we have ever played. Our defense was on point and our offense was amazing! The game went into overtime, and I just remember the feeling of saying we truly gave it all we got and left everything we had on the court!

My favorite game this year was our 2nd round game in district against Weslaco, because it was a great team win in order to clench our fifth consecutive district title.
The best basketball memory this year was being able to have all five of our district trophies at the end of our last district game since I knew all the hard work it took to achieve such profound success.
My favorite game this year would have to be our home game against Hidalgo, which also happened to be senior night. It was second round in district, and they upset us by four points the first time we played them. It was just a great feeling beating them, and securing a spot in the district title game.
The first playoff game against Harlingen South, it was a triple overtime victory. Game tied with 10 seconds left, down by three, I steal the ball at front court and coast to an and-one. I made the free throw. Ended the game with a game wining assist to my twin sister, who scored the gaming-winning goal.

First round of district, when we played an away game against San Perlita. It was my favorite game because in the last two years, due to COVID-19 and injuries, we played San Perlita shorthanded. This year, we had a team of 10 girls and we were all healthy and excited to show up and play hard. The game was close though we held the lead the entire time. Individually, I had been in a slump leading up to this game, but something clicked in me early that allowed me to find a groove. I finished with18 points, 7 rebounds, and 11 steals.

Favorite
Being able to play against Weslaco East second round, since I had an injury the first quarter that sent me to the er for some stitches. The game was back to back the whole time with so many people, I hit a 3 when needed and make a coast to coast layup to be up four with little time left.
My favorite game this year was against Brownsville Lopez for the second seed. We had lost to them previously in the 2nd round and so winning this game was big I had made a crucial three to put us back into the game. I had never played a game with so many people watching while going into double OT. Having my family there was also played a big part in me loving that game.
My favorite game this year was the second round my team and I played Brownsville veterans in district. I feel like they didn’t expect the intensity we brought that game and the desire to want the win more than they did. We didn’t finish with the win but they over looked us and what our team could do.

Against Santa Rosa, it was our biggest game because we were competing for first in the district. Also because the intensity of the game was high and those are the most fun games in my opinion, because they push you to play your best every second of the game.
My favorite game was the second district game against Port Isabel at home. We fell short a couple of points on our fist meeting in PI, but they were not going to deny us at home! They were undefeated and I knew I was going to need to step up my game and lock up their best player, as turn it up on offense and score a good amount to secure a victory and that’s exactly what happened. It was still a great matchup and intense game!
My Bi-District playoff game vs Sharyland Pioneer was my favorite game because our team was losing by double digits and I was able to score 16 points in the fourth quarter to help us win.
