2016 The Year of the Tree

Each morning of 2016 as I left the house I took a photo, using an iPhone, from my car window, of a single tree which was standing alone in the middle of a field.

On work days this would usually be just after 7am. On weekends it may be anytime of day. I also worked in Naples, Italy for one week each month, so that reduced the number of images.

Some days the weather meant I didn’t even lower the car window.

On other days the light was definitely not with me. Even when there was a little light it challenged the capabilities of the iPhone version I owned.

Changes occurred with the seasons and the weather, as well as physical changes to the main tree itself.

Surprisingly, there were no images which contained snow, which made the selection of images for Winter challenging.

Rain in all seasons.

On occasions, mostly during the winter months, the lack of light challenged my iPhone’s capabilities.

And there were 2 reasons not to get out of the car to take photos!
