LINIA

A faucet to ease cleaning and usage, inspired from architectural building Cinnah 19. 3rd year project, 2020

Research and Development User Research Tap cleaning frequency: once in two weeks Difficulties: cleaning because of its location and lack of space Hot water usage: rare Strategies for reducing the consumption of water: regular maintenance is done Reason to buy: aesthetic

Tap cleaning frequency: everyday Difficulties: looks dirty even when clean Hot water usage: rare Strategies for reducing the consumption of water: closes the tap when cleaning her hand or brushing her teeth

Tap cleaning frequency: once in a month Difficulties: difficult to increase and adjust water temperature Hot water usage: when he will wash his hair Strategies for reducing the consumption of water: regular maintenance is done Reason to buy: has a turning head

Scenario

The faucet opens and water runs when the lever is moved to right.

The hot and cold water arrangement is made when the lever is moved back and forth.

Here the lever is moved for cold water.

The faucet closes when the lever is pulled to left.

VERSA

A pencil holder designed for Brynzeel’s set of 48 coloured pencils. 2nd year project, 2018

Research and Development Brand Identity

Observation Artists and hobbyists usually prefer to see the colour of their pencils easily.

Products and logos were simple and modest from past to present. They evolved to more minimal products with time.

Bruynzeel Expression series are for creative people, hobbyists, and beginner artists.

They prefer to assort their pencils to reach to the preferred colour easily.

They need a proper space for the pencils which get smaller in time. Products have similar curves on their bodies.

Concept Development Sketches

I aimed to protect the pencil ends by using foam rubber and carry safely, so I tried to fold it first, but it wasn’t so practical.

The mechanism I used allow me to adjust the volume, which made it both practical for carrying, sorting and using.

On the final form, there are also a place for shorther pencils.

Plexiglass Prototype

Plexiglass gave the modern sense to the product as a material, it helped me to understand how my mechanism may work as a product.

Finalization

Plexiglass screw Open, pencils can be sorted by their colours.

Closed, it can be carried with pencils in it.

Rubber parts to hold pencils tight.

Magnets to bring two parts together. Small pencils can still be contained orderly.

HIELO

A snow sled designed for a different and easy sliding experience. 2nd year project, 2018

Research Researchand andDevelopment Development Observations Easy to carry

After observing the process of sliding, I realized carrying the sled back to top of a hill was the most challenging part, so I thought it should be easy to carry.

Ergonomic Sitting

While sliding being comfortable is important, users should feel like they have the control over the slide and enjoy the process of sliding.

Purpose is Fun!

I deliberated the most important aspect of sliding is having fun while I was working on my project.

Concept Development

The evolution of form explorations to make sliding more comfortable and to make it easy to produce. I mainly work on different sitting positions to achieve safety and fun at the same time.

FLUNT

An iron design which provides an excellent ironing experience by being able to glide in two opposite directions. 2nd year project, 2018

Research and Development Observations Ergonomic grip and button placement

After observing the ironing process and interviewing with people, I realized they mostly suffer from the grip position, it was not allowing them to push the steam buttons easily.

Gliding in both directions

People usually said that gliding the iron only to forward direction was tiring, so I thouht a soleplate shape that can glide also backwards easily.

Filling the water tank

User were mostly suffering from the placement of the water inlet, I tried to make it effortless to fill water.

FATCAT

A funny interactive prototyping project for fat cats. 3rd year group project with Gökben Kabadayı, 2019

Research and Development Persona

People who want to have their cats with healthier eating habits and a healthier life!

Some cats has no control on eating and they get fat

With FatCat they move more to eat and lose weight

Concept Development Fatcat project was made by some electrical components and codings to make it work in real life.
