Germantown Academy Summer Day Camp
Week One Newsletter June 25 -June 29, 2012 Note from the Director
Tie-Dye Friday
Week one was a great success for our campers, counselors, and directors! We celebrated our “Philly Week” by eating soft pretzels and playing ball games in our activities! Great job to all of the campers who showed their “Philly Spirit” by wearing their favorite team clothing! Please don’t forget to look at our calendar on the GA Camp website for daily and weekly themes. Next week we will be celebrating our “Patriotic Pride” week by having red, white and blue snacks! Thank you for a great first week at camp!
On Friday, the campers had a great time in their afternoon Activity tie-dying camp shirts! Please make sure to follow the washing instructions, given to your child, to ensure a great looking t-shirt for years to
Parent “To Do” List
Lost and Found Parents, please remember to label EVERYTHING you send to camp.
Please apply sunscreen every morning; we spend much of the day outside. Also, please send a labeled water bottle with your child each day. Because the weather is very hot and campers are active all day, please be sure your camper has a nutritious lunch. If your child is going to be late, requires an early pick-up, or will be absent from GA Day Camp, please call the Summer Programs Office at 267-405-7321 or email us at summer@gacamp.org
No Camp on July 4th Parents don’t forget! Next Wednesday is the fourth of July and we will not have camp on that day. We hope everyone has a great holiday!
