MINI CAMP/ PRESCHOOL CAMP Dear Parents and Campers, Welcome to GA Mini Camp. We are very happy you will be joining us. We have an exciting and rewarding summer planned for your child. Our very talented teachers and counselors are ready to make your child’s summer experience fun and memorable. To help you get started on the right foot, we have included a list of items your child will need for the first day of camp. · · · · · · · · ·

Sneakers or sandals with a back (NO flip flops) Water shoes for the pool 2 FULL changes of clothes (to be left at camp) Towel for quiet time (will be sent home every Friday) Sunscreen (you may leave some at camp) A labeled water bottle 2 plastic grocery bags (to bring wet clothes/bathing suits home) Label ALL clothing Snack for the AM (we only supply a snack in the afternoons)

Please bring your child to camp every day wearing a bathing suit and a layer of sunscreen already applied. Your child should wear clothes over his or her swim suit. Please send in a bag with fresh underwear. The wet bathing suit will be put into the bag at the end of swim and sent home daily. Swim gear (goggles, swim shirt, etc.) may be brought to camp, but please label all items. Towel is provided in the pool. We will reapply the sunscreen throughout the day as needed. Here is a sample of our schedule for your reference:

Activity Rotation’s: Swimming and Art/Science/PE Games/Snack (Three 30 minute rotations during this time)

11:30-12:00

Free Play

Half-day dismissal

12:15-1:00

Chill Time

1:45-3:15

Outside play/ Group Games/Organized themed activities

3:15-4:00

Snack/story/pack up to go home (We start pick-up at 3:45 and stay until 4:15)

Any changes from your child’s standard dismissal will require a note. Campers arriving late must be brought to the Welcome Center. We do not have a refrigerator available to store your child’s lunch if you pack one, and will not have a microwave available to heat up food. We suggest placing an icepack in his/her lunch box to keep items cool. If you have purchased a lunch from the camp, it will be delivered to our area. We are looking forward to meeting you and your child at your car door every morning. Please do not get out of your car while dropping off or picking up in the Quad. You are also welcome to park your car in the main parking lot and walk with your child to the Leas Hall entrance. Should you have any further questions please feel free to call or email.
