JW Marriott Marquis is celebrating great food throughout the month of October as the already popular foodie destination launches its very own Restaurant Month. Be ready to unlock a world of culinary delights with a lavish collection of dishes showcasing exceptional flavours from across the globe. Spanning across eight award-winning restaurants, the JW Marriott Marquis Restaurant Month will run until the 31st October 2020, giving diners the opportunity to explore a destination of exceptional taste at the iconic hotel’s diverse restaurant scene.

Participating venues will be offering specially curated menus of up to three courses at special prices ranging from AED 89 to AED 195. This unique Restaurant Month includes some of Dubai’s favourite restaurants, such as the award-winning international buffet restaurant Kitchen6 and the elegant Prime68 steakhouse. Signature restaurants taking part in Restaurant Month include, Prime68, Tong Thai and Izakaya. Located high on the 68th floor, Prime68 presents a new generation of steakhouse, where supreme quality ingredients are served in elegant, yet modern style. Panoramic views of Dubai’s breathtaking skyline make Prime68 an experience to remember.

Those looking for authentic classics and the much-celebrated street food culture from the far east, are invited to experience Tong Thai, for a taste of its creamy curries and delicious stir-fried noodles. Indulge in distinctive Thai cuisine in an exquisite setting, lovingly prepared and served by an authentic Thai team. Alternatively, upbeat and slightly edgy, Izakaya is where great food is enjoyed with friends in a lively and buzzing environment. Enjoy authentic Japanese noodles, teppanyaki and sushi. Keep an eye out for a special surprise tasting, with something incredibly unique at Izakaya.

Positano, like the region the restaurant takes its name from, offers an abundance of seafood, meat, fruit, and vegetables, here produce and well-trained chefs have created some of the best known Italian food essentials.

Diners who are looking for a casual bite, will feel right at home at La Farine, Bridgewater Tavern or Café Artois. La Farine offers a contemporary café and bakery where guests can gather and enjoy gourmet fare in a casual and comfortable setting, whilst at Bridgewater Tavern or Café Artois guests can choose to be either seated indoors or enjoy al fresco dining with stunning Dubai Canal views and a selection of gourmet pub grub.

During this one month long food odyssey diners are given the chance to taste their way through two restaurant categories: casual dining and signature restaurants. Casual dining outlets include Kitchen6, La Farine, Bridgewater Tavern, Café Artois and Positano menus here are priced AED 89. Whilst signature restaurants include Prime68, Tong Thai and Izakaya with menus priced at AED 195.

Bali Vibes At Koko Bay

Having opened at the start of September Koko Bay has created quite a buzz around the city. A fresh new beachfront restaurant and bar, Koko Bay opened its doors on the picturesque West Beach development on Palm Jumeirah. Inspired by the beaches of Bali, Koko Bay offers both an indoor, and a toes in the sand al fresco dining experience.

The menu features modern Asian and European-influences, beverages are bespoke and created by a team of internationally acclaimed mixologists. Whether you are looking for a laid-back afternoon or a special evening under the stars, Koko Bay sets the scene. Delicious cuisine paired with an unrivalled atmosphere and all-encompassing views of the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina skyline, are particularly breath-taking, especially at sunset.

Showcasing crunchy bar nibbles, healthy salads, a fresh raw bar, hearty mains and a flaming wood fired Robata grill tended to by a dedicated grill master, the Koko Bay culinary team has dreamt up an extensive menu packed with flavours, colours and premium ingredients.

Guests can tuck into starters such as Lava Prawns, assorted Grilled Skewers, Hokkaido Scallop Ceviche with a Citrus Granita and a selection of unique Maki Rolls such as Organic Quinoa, Crispy Kale and Beetroot. For the main event, choose from piping hot plates of Nasi Goreng, Cantonese Style Steamed Red Snapper, Slow Cooked Beef Cheeks, Koko Bay Fish and Chips and Crispy Sea Bream with Thai Coconut and Young Peppercorn Sauce, or dive into succulent Burgers, Crisp Salads and perfectly grilled Seafood and Meats from the unique wood fired Robata grill. For those with a sweet tooth, the Flambéed White Chocolate Dome, refreshing Mochi and Zesty Dropped Lemon Tart are a must try dish.

Designed to ooze the picture perfect beachfront vibe in a casual yet chic setting, the light and airy interiors of Koko Bay have notable Balinese influences and feature natural handwoven materials, a neutral colour palette and rustic finishes complemented by refreshing greenery. The indoor décor spills out onto the spacious terrace and private beach so guests can kick back on a sun lounger, lie on a hammock, or take a dip in the sparkling ocean. Dedicated lockers and a shower facility will make it easy for beachgoers to transition from the restaurant to the sand.

From the 15th to 31st October 2020 The Warehouse will be hosting a Foie Gras Tapas night, featuring a limited time menu of unlimited Foie Gras based tapas, ranging from starters to desserts served with free-flowing selected beverages for 2 hours. Journey Through India At Shamiana

Shamiana, the renowned and much-loved restaurant at Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers, hailing from the iconic Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, unveils its monthly themed thali set-menus. Paying homage to four distinct regions of India, under the culinary direction of award-winning Executive Chef Sonu Koithara, his brigade of specialty culinarians have brought elaborate dishes to life, whilst preserving the past, using authentic ingredients and age-old home-style cooking techniques.

Shamiana diners can now savour the heart and soul of India through each course of the masterfully curated menu, especially poignant during a time where it is not so easy to travel to India to get that ‘taste of home.’ During the month of September guests were invited to traversing through the mustard fields of Punjab, this October Shamiana diners can journey through the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala from Southern India, moving East to experience the regional cuisine of West Bengal in November, and winding up with a re-creation of the Mughal Empire in December, with each region being highlighted monthly.

Available daily for lunch and dinner, this culinary journey is priced at AED 100 for the vegetarian thali and AED 125 for the nonvegetarian thali with the option to upgrade to the house beverage package at an additional AED 150 per person. Highlights from the ongoing Taste of Punjab menu include the Shamiana Kebab Platter, Kadai Paneer, Prawn Tikka Masala, Shamiana’s secret-recipe Black Dal and Chicken Tawa Pulao, served alongside freshly baked bread and a decadent Phirnee and Gajar ka Halwa for dessert.

Guests can experience a specially curated thali from South India featuring Travancore and Chettinad cuisine with exotic dishes such as Mutton kulambu (classic lamb preparation from the Chettinadu region), Thalasseri Chicken Biryani and Beetroot and Asparagus Poriyal.

Shamiana embraces a ‘refined ease’ with its relaxed and homely environment, floor to ceiling windows and a cosy outdoor terrace that overlooks the Dubai Marina skyline. Hutong Launches Dim Sum Brunch

Hutong, the contemporary Northern Chinese restaurant and bar located in DIFC, is excited to introduce its new Dim Sum Brunch with free-flow dim sum and free-flow beverages every weekend, perfect for the season and ideal to enjoy in Hutong’s outdoor garden terrace.

Hutong’s dim sum is well known around the world for its innovative take on the classic Chinese dim sum dish. Hutong’s chefs bring together new, and sometimes Western ingredients and flavours in the delicate dim sum parcels that are perfect for sharing and presented beautifully at the table.

At the Dim Sum Brunch guests have an amazing choice of fifteen dishes and can opt to try as many as they like. Stars on the menu include the delicate but indulgent Wild Mushroom and Truffle Bao, beautifully crafted to look like real Mushrooms; the Suan Cai Yu Crispy Dumpling, a black crunchy outer filled delicious Salted Fish and Pickled Cabbage; the Tea Smoked Egg Foie Gras, Seared Foie Gras and Coddled Egg infused with Osmanthus Tea Leaves; and the Hutong Dan Dan Noodles, a classic Sichuan dish served in a Spicy Minced Lamb, Sesame and Peanut Broth.

For a sweet finish guests will be treated to an assortment of signature desserts, paired with luscious Ice-Cream and Sorbets to suit every palate. To complement the free-flow dim sum, guests can choose to enjoy a range of free-flow beverages.
