Inspecting the tractor
Inspecting the tractor
Before beginning to inspect the tractor, apply the tractor parking brake and shift to “P” (Park) while the tractor’s engine is turned on. After completing the inspection, ensure parking brakes are applied and turn off the tractor’s engine.
Inside the tractor
Inspect the following inside the tractor. • Check the air pressure and brake response by applying the foot brake for one minute. • Turn on all lights, including the emergency flashers and the low and high beam lights. Make sure they all work properly. • Honk the horn and check the steering wheel for excessive free play. • Check if the oil pressure is at its normal operating range and the gauge is working properly. • Check if mirrors on both sides of the tractor are clean and aligned. • Check if the washer-wipers works properly, and inspect the windshield for damage. • Check if the heater-defroster blower is working properly. • Check if a charged fire extinguisher and emergency equipment are mounted on the tractor.
