atholic Schools Week 2020 is nearly here, and elementary and high schools in the Diocese of Trenton are eager to share what makes them the best choice for educating faith-filled Catholic citizens. Slated for Jan. 26 to Feb. 1, Catholic Schools Week activities will include open houses, pep rallies, assemblies, activity fairs, spelling bees, community service projects and a myriad of academic showcases designed to spotlight how faith and academic excellence combine into the most valuable model of childhood education. Red Bank Catholic offers a multitude of STEM related courses including ComputerAided Design and Drafting (CADD) and modeling. This course provides students with a broad introduction into 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional and use of Solidworks In the past 5 years, RBC students have been accepted to 23 Ivy League schools. The 225 students in the RBC Class of 2019 were accepted at over 208 accredited colleges and universities nationwide. 80% received scholarships totaling over 34 million dollars. The buildings that make up Red Bank Catholic’s uniue campus collect energy from the sun by way of 1,224 solar panels ixed atop each building roof. The energy generated accounts for approximately 40% of RBC’s and St. James’ energy use. This, in addition to the use of LED lighting for classrooms and hallways has helped make Red Bank Catholic a better steward of the environment. The RBC Capstone Program gives ualiied, motivated students the opportunity to pursue college level work beyond the typical AP experience. This extracurricular program is designed to prepare students for the university classroom by exposing them to the rigor, pace, methodology, research tools, and hands-on experience typically found in a higher educational setting. RBC offers students over 200 courses, including 20 AP classes, in a uniue, global classroom via the internet. Students can delve deeper into areas of interest, such as Environmental Chemistry or Nuclear Physics. They also have the opportunity to start exploring speciic careers or college majors with career development courses such as Engineering and Web Design.
