ROOTED IN FAITH REJOICE IN HOPE WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED
This past month, the Rooted in Faith, Rejoice in Hope campaign surpassed the $25 million Challenge Goal! Through the generous support of more than 10,000 families, the Diocese of Winona Foundation will accomplish the following: $10,000,000 will be invested into the Priest Pension Fund to ensure that our retired priests, today and in the future, will receive the care and treatment they deserve after a lifetime of service to the Church. Through this investment, the principal (corpus) of the fund will no longer be used, ensuring long-term viability. $5,050,000 will go toward much-needed upgrades and renovations at Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary. Architectural plans and initial site development will occur. This will also allow for renovations to Kelly Hall, as well as a partial addition. These upgrades will modernize our seminary and improve handicapped accessibility. $6,250,000 will be used to complete parish projects at the 114 parishes across the diocese. These projects range from roof replacements, Catholic education endowments, new parking lots, debt reduction, to worship space renovations. $2,000,000 was used to fund the 2013 Annual Diocesan Appeal (ADA). The ADA funds Catholic education and many other important diocesan ministries, including faith formation, Catholic Charities, evangelization, vocations, Hispanic ministries, and much more. $1,700,000 has been earmarked for campaignrelated expenses, including printing costs, professional fees, events, postage, supplies, campaign promotional materials, follow-up efforts, pledge tracking and reminders, pledge redemption efforts, etc.
WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!
