Cette exposition vise à avoir un caractère interactif, en permettant aux visiteurs de jouir des objets exposés, car ils peuvent être expérimentés. L'objectif principal de cette exposition est d’amener les visiteurs de ses pièces, par la simple action de s'asseoir.
This exhibition aims to have an interactive character, allowing visitors to enjoy the objects on display, as they may be tried. The main objective of this exhibition is to bring the visitors closer to its pieces through the simple act of sitting.

Arne Jacobsen
Arne Jacobsen (11 Février, 1902 - 24 Mars, 1971) a été un architecte, décorateur, et designer de meubles, textile et céramique danois. Ayant commencé à travailler comme maçon, il a obtenu son diplôme d'architecte plus tard, en 1927, dans la Réel Académie des Arts à Copenhague, où il a été Professeur à partir de 1956. De 1927 à 1930, il a travaillé avec l'architecte Poul Holsoe et, ensuite, il a ouvert son atelier où il a travaillé jusqu'à sa mort. En 1951, il a créé la chaise Ant et, en 1955, la Série 7, quelques-unes des chaises commercialement plus réussies dans le monde. Entre ses créations architecturales, les plus connues sont le Collège St. Catherine, à Oxford, et le SAS Royal Hôtel, à Copenhague, pour lequel il a conçu le chaise Egg, en 1957.
Arne Jacobsen (February 11, 1902 - March 24, 1971) was a Danish architect, decorator and furniture, textile and ceramics designer. Having begun working as a bricklayer, he eventually graduated as an architect, in 1927, from the Royal Academy of Arts in Copenhagen, where he also was a Professor, starting in 1956. From 1927 to 1930 he worked with the architect Poul Holsoe and subsequently opened his studio, where he worked until his death. In 1951 he created the Ant chair and, in 1955, the 7 Series, both of which would become some of the most commercially successful chairs worldwide. As an architect, his best known designs are the St. Catherine's College, in Oxford, and the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, for which he designed the Egg chair, in 1957.

Hans J. Wegner (April 2, 1914 - January 26, 2007) was a world renowned Danish furniture designer.
La grand qualité de ses pièces et son travail de réflexion, ainsi qu’un effort concerté de plusieurs de ses fabricants, ont contribué pour la popularité internationale du design danois du milieu du siècle. Son style est souvent décrit comme la Fonctionnalité Organique, une école moderne en mettant l'accent sur la fonctionnalité. Cette école de pensée a surgi initialement dans les pays scandinaves, avec des contributions de Poul Henningsen, Alvar Aalto et Arne Jacobsen.
His high quality and thoughtful work, along with a concerted effort from several of his manufacturers, contributed to the international popularity of mid-century Danish design. His style is often described as Organic Functionality, a modernist school with emphasis on functionality. This school of thought arose primarily in Scandinavian countries with contributions by Poul Henningsen, Alvar Aalto, and Arne Jacobsen.
Dans sa vie, il a conçu plus de 500 chaises différentes, dont plus de 100 ont été mis en production de masse et dont beaucoup sont devenus des icônes reconnaissables du design.
In his lifetime he designed over 500 different chairs, over 100 of which were put into mass production and many of which have become recognizable design icons.
