HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY
Now, august is a very special month for us Indians. Since, it is the month we attained freedom from the irritating bossy British. So we decided on the 63rd independence day of India we will write about India n everything inside and around it. Lets start with how we got freedom. Now since everybody has studied how we got freedom over n over we are not going repeat the story, as u all know it. We all love Independence Day majorly cause it’s a holiday but independence day has much more to just an holiday. When we all were little we used to buy those flags being sold at signals and put it up everywhere like in our cars, house doors, cupboards n even bags. But the next day those flags are thrown on the roads carelessly and stamped upon. There is one day that we respect that flag so much the next day it’s a piece of scrap for us. When I was little my dad used to show me the flag and we both with great respect in our eyes for that tricolor used to salute it. Now, it’s all different. It’s great shame when the national anthem is being played in the theaters and a group of idiots are laughing or not even standing up. It’s horrible to see such people doing nonsense and think of them as cool, or even when the police people take bribes or people making fun or being embarrassed to be an Indian. We here at RCBU are proud citizens of India. Before beginning every meeting we all make it a point to sing the national anthem. It’s a great feeling when u sing the national anthem or even when u stand up for your country or type in your nationality at any website or write it while filling a visa form or see successful Indians like A.R. Rahman and Sachin Tendulkar or any other Indian who is representing India , People like these make us proud. Indians are the friendliest people all over the world. Go in any country of the world there’s at least one Indian community over there. India had the most diverse population as u all know. There at least 1.8 billion people who love India n live over here of almost all the religions of the world….did you’ll know? India was also one of the first places where a civilization was set up. Indus valley civilization is believed to be the world civilization created in mankind ever and it lies near the border of India and Pakistan. India has the largest democracy in the world which is being guarded and nurtured by a lady… Pratibha Patil, the president of India. Here India shows women power. Also Sunita Williams was the first women to step on the moon and come back and she was a proud Indian, Also Kalpana Chawla whom all Indians are very proud of resides in our memory as a brave ‘Bhartiya Nari’.
Now I’ll tell you’ll about the stuff you’ll will really be interested in.
India has an amazing night life. Even though India is known for its rich culture et al. India is like a women, in the morning it’s in salwar kameej and at night there’s shorts, skirts and one piece. Almost all the places in India have a subway, dominoes and McDonalds outlets in at least 3 places of the same city. The most active night life in India is in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. It’s had an awesome makeover now. India has the latest technology, almost all the international brands and everything that you have in any other developed nation. And with that India does not forget any thing. Have u ever seen people of any countries doing ‘Ghati dance’ like people over here do. Have anyone heard more amazing drum beats then the pune dhol or the nashik dhol. Have you’ll ever seen anybody spraying water smearing colour on any one else like they do over here Or ever seen anybody dance on the road with 2 sticks in their hand Or dance and shout the hell out of themselves while getting a big idol of God home? That all only happens at one place and that is I N D I A. People talk about how much they love Italian or Chinese cuisine. What is the best cuisine for Indians? A vada pav or a samosa or usal pav or aloo chat or sev puri or pav bhaji or dosa….the list is endless. No Indian can stay without Indian food as much as they say. Indians are different from the entire world. With a unique identity. With somewhat the best qualities and manners infested into them from their parents and the society around. I personally think India is the best nation of the world. Every Indian even when they hate each other will stand by each other’s side during a terrorist attack or riots or any other calamity or difficulty. India is one big family consisting of 1.8 billion Indians. I am so honored to be a part of this family. I love India.
IN AN UNUSUALLY LONG MESSAGE, OBAMA NOTED THE FATE OF THE TWO COUNTRIES. "From Bangalore to Boston; Indian scientists, engineers and thinkers are generating ideas and prosperity that improve and save lives across India and the globe," Obama said. The message to the Indian government starts with a reference to the first Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's historic "tryst with destiny", speech. "As Indians stood ready to claim their own fate on Aug 15, 1947, Prime Minister Nehru declared that a 'tryst with destiny', forged years ago, would finally be fulfilled," he said. He also mentioned the 1857 war of independence, the freedom movement under Mahatma Gandhi and the country's all-round development after independence, be it economy, science or polity. The president said, "Indian politics have given voice to women and countless minorities, and have demonstrated that Indians stand unifies in their commitment to human dignity." Obama said he was also impressed by the country's entertainment industry as its members were marking their presence globally.
"Bollywood and Hollywood, Indians contribute to films that captivate audiences in every corner of the world," he said, adding that millions were being lifted out of poverty and were carrying the hope for a bright future as the Indian economy continued along a promising road.
