HIGH HOPES, LOW EXPECTATIONS Two major forecasts were published on the Hungarian economy in the early days of May. Both the European Commission and GKI Economic Research Co. shaped similar possible scenarios which said that decelerating of the GDP growth is imminent. The main reason behind this is that EU-funded investments will fade in the upcoming 2-3 years. Investments are expected to stagnate in 2015 but consumption may increase slightly. SEE OUR COVER STORY

Ambassador Johann Marx (Republic of South Africa) and Ambassador Lizeth Nawanga Satumbo Pena (Angola) speak abouth the way they think bilateral political, economical and cultural relations can be strenghtened. Both diplomats appreciate the renewed attention of the current Hungarian government to open to the South and develop closer ties with African countries. see articles on pages 8-13
