Pro Wrestling Chaos Return of the King The last time Pro Wrestling Chaos hosted a show was all the way back in February 2020, with their show “Requiem” and as a Bristolian wrestling fan I can honestly say, I’ve missed the Chaos. In the 2 years since their last show Chaos and their superstars have gone through changes, with the promotion under new management and even some of the wrestlers ditching old names, and forming new teams. All this added up to make Saturday’s show “Return of the King” something of a reboot. I got to the show early, to meet the performers, all of whom seemed genuinely excited to be there. Even the staff on the door and the ladies selling those elusive raffle tickets seemed more hyped than usual, to say there was a buzz in the air would be an understatement. I took my seat and waited for the rest of my party to arrive, whilst waiting I purchased the show’s new t-shirt, and as the crowd were filling in you could feel the anticipation rising. The fan club, Chaos Club, took a group picture and everyone was excited to see each other again and to be supporting their favourite indie company again.

Everything went quiet, the voice came over the speaker welcoming us back to the show, and the 250 fans erupted. It was time. The opening match was Harrison Bennett vs Tate Mayfairs (accompanied by Mulligan) which was an outstanding opening match. Bennett (fka Beano) was easily the fan favourite and came out to a hero’s welcome. Mayfairs had been building to this match via hijacking Chaos’ facebook page. They had a really good back and forth match with Mayfairs winning by using the brass knuckles on Bennet while the ref was distracted by Mulligan. The next match a singles match in the women’s division between Laura DiMatteo and Jetta. This was a slower more technical match with Jetta running down the crowd for not showing her the respect she felt she deserved. However, this left herself open to be submitted by DiMatteo, this is a perfect example of the potential the women’s division has to offer. Maiden of Chaos Champion Dani Luna came out to cut a passionate promo on her recent injury, she wanted to do the right thing and forfeit the championship to allow the other women a shot. This did not go down well with the crowd who clearly adore Dani and just want to see her defend her belt.
