Santa’s on a Bike
Spot hundreds of Santas on bikes riding through the city
Santas on a Bike is back on Saturday 4 December to spread some festive cheer and raise vital funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) again this year. The bikers, who have supported CHSW for over 15 years, held the event virtually last year due to the pandemic. This year the Santas are back on their bikes and will be riding through Bristol in all their festive glory on Saturday 4th December.

Event organiser, Oli Allen, said: “We're so excited to be riding in Bristol again and can't wait to see the spectacle of hundreds of tinsel-covered motorbikes making their way through the city spreading some much-needed Christmas happiness and raising important funds for an incredible cause. We'd love to see as many people as possible come out to see us on our brand new 2021 route through the city.” This year’s route sees the bikes leaving from Winterbourne Academy at midday and travelling through Bradley Stoke to Aztec West, then down the A38 to the Bearpit roundabout, a loop around the city centre via The Triangle and Park Street, then on to CHSW’s Charlton Farm hospice in Wraxall. Tamara Downs, Head of Fundraising at Charlton Farm, said: “The bikers’ fabulous fundraising and the awareness raised helps us to continue to offer a light in the dark to families with children with life-limiting conditions - not just over Christmas but 365 days a year. Their support makes such a difference in helping children and families create special memories at the children’s hospice. We can’t thank them enough for their continued support.” Due to the safety and protection of vulnerable children and their families, the bikers can’t stop at the children’s hospice to celebrate their finish this year, instead they will drive by the hospice and finish at the Downs Preparatory School, who have kindly stepped in and allowed the ride to finish in the school’s grounds.
