This publication is written by over 25 authors from around the world, who share their knowledge and expertise, in order to inspire and educate readers. Previously, climate literature has not been representative of international voices, which has meant that our perspectives are limited, which is something we have aimed to combat. ‘Climate Adaptation’ will be published on the 25th October 2021, or you can pre-order here.
A selection of our authors include:
1. Vitalie Duporge and Olivia Copsey, who discuss the importance of environmental education and eco-schools.
2. Jane Riddiford, who speaks about ‘Global Generation’, a charity which brings communities in London together to speak about the climate crisis and encourage them to come closer to nature.
3. Rodrigo Machado Moreira, who looks at food systems in Brazil and the need for localisation.
‘This book does not shy away from the fact that Climate Change is real, and that people from all over the world are experiencing its effects right now. We do not have time to wait for governments to make small and insignificant changes and it has been shown throughout the years that the climate crisis is not at the top of their agenda. A time has come where we are unable to rely on those in a position of power and must instead make small changes, from the ground up. This book shows excellent examples of how small community initiatives have inspired bigger changes, so it is important that these stories are heard widely.’
