Sandy Park zebra crossing:

A local resident has highlighted safety concerns over the zebra crossing on Sandy Park Road. Due to the availability of car parking spaces in front of the adjacent post office, vehicles regularly reverse over the crossing when leaving these spaces. We were in touch with the council about this issue quite some time ago and an officer told us they were working on a solution that possibly included strategically-located bollards to prevent vehicles performing such a dangerous manoeuvre. This would have resulted in the loss of one parking space in front of the post office but there is plenty of on-street parking and a public car park, Repton Road Car Park, less than 100 metres away. We have asked council officers for a progress report. Housing forum for tenants: Another round of Housing Forums for council tenants is taking place online in March.
