the real reason behind the renovation lies inside the traditionrich establishment, outwardly told by excavated medieval arcaded arches, enchanting with their medieval lapis lazuli blue and partly baroque features. The reconstruction work has been meticulously planned in collaboration with the authorities and Salzburg’s Old Town Commission. An opening to neighboring premises has doubled the store’s floor space.

The completely reimagined interiors, designed by BWM Architekten, convey a sense of stepping away from the bustle of everyday life and into a life-size jewelry box. An elegant mauve hue was chosen for the walls and leather interior, a color already showcased at the 1873 World’s Fair in Vienna, which also graces the Vienna company headquarters.

It all comes together to create the perfect backdrop for the most exquisite treasures. Alongside the Sisi stars, likely Austria’s most famous piece of jewelry, visitors will find dazzling earrings made using a special knotting technique, which can be customized either in the shop or online, using the “X-Changeables” earring configurator to be found on the website. Men’s jewelry like the automatic Köchert watch or colorful cufflinks are to be admired next to recent signature pieces made of jade or fine gemstones of rare quality, all manufactured in the in-house workshop. n
