Heart Attack Disability Tax Credit

What is a Heart Attack? A heart attack occurs when an artery to the heart becomes completely blocked causing the blood flow to the heart to stop. This results in a lack of oxygen to the heart, causing part of the heart muscle to die. After a heart attack, it can take up to eight weeks to heal the heart muscle.

Symptoms of Heart Attack Symptoms of a heart attack can last 30 minutes or longer during a heart attack. There are some cases where patients having a heart attack experience no symptoms and are unaware that they are having a heart attack. This is called a silent myocardial infarction and tends to affect people with diabetes.

Treatment For Heart Attack If you have had a heart attack it is essential to quickly treat it by opening the blocked artery in order to reduce the amount of damage it causes to the heart.
