FROM THE PRESIDENT
DEAR
FRIENDS I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the Day of Christ Jesus. It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart. Phil.1: 3-7a
Paul penned these words over 1900 years ago, but they’re every bit as true today. In that day, the Gospel was expanding rapidly around the world. People of every nation were hearing and responding to the Good News and turning to Jesus as the Righteous King. As they followed Him, they grew to maturity: the capacity to think, feel, and act like Him. Those disciples turned the world upside down! Thanks in part to your partnership, co-labor, and prayers, the same things are occurring today! Disciples are making disciples, and those disciples are growing and reproducing. As you’ll see in this report, this pattern is being repeated and expanded every year. (We haven’t seen such growth since WDA was launched as a campus ministry nearly 45 years ago!) Now with the help of technology, and through the faithfulness of God, we’re fast reaching our 2022 goal of “Equipping a Million Disciples, who Disciple”! What a joy it is to work alongside you and see The Lord of the Harvest deploy His Church to minister in His Name. And the need has never been greater. People around the world are lost and broken. They’re looking for a Savior who will deliver them, restore them, and equip them. This is what WDA has been called to do! And God has ordained that we accomplish this together. We’re so very grateful for every prayer, every ministry connection, every training opportunity, and every financial investment garnered against this worldwide campaign. May God continue to bless His Word as it goes forth. And may He bless you,
President | Worldwide Discipleship Association, Inc.

ABOUT
A WORLDWIDE DISCIPLESHIP ASSOCIATION A lot has happened since May 1974, when Carl Wilson, then the National High School Ministries Director for Campus Crusade, sensed a greater calling to build mature and enduring disciples of Jesus Christ. Amazingly, 45 years later, the vision that God gave Mr. Wilson has come to pass almost exactly as he penned it back in May of 1974 (see application excerpt, right). WDA's mission is to serve the Church worldwide by developing Christlike character in people and equipping them to disciple others according to the pattern Jesus used to train His disciples. Organized as Worldwide Discipleship Association, Inc., in 1974, WDA is based in the United States with ministries and affiliated partners around the world. Currently, WDA is active in 23 countries, training leaders to launch and sustain a disciple building culture where they live. WDA is a 501c(3) non-profit organization funded primarily by the tax-deductible gifts of those who share our commitment to biblical disciple building. Intentional. Progressive. Transformative. Jesus called us to go into all nations and teach disciples to obey everything that He commanded. Today, the Church still has work to do. To accomplish this, we found that Jesus not only provided us with a mission statement, but also a business plan. WDA is committed to intentional, progressive discipleship. We offer a flexible, transferable approach that is based on the ministry and methods of Jesus, the Master Disciple Builder. By studying Jesus' ministry, WDA discovered 5 distinct phases of Christian growth, beginning with the brand new believer and ending with the mature leader-of-leaders, who can teach others to carry the mantle of Jesus' gospel and ministry. In addition to these phases of disciple building, Christ came to bring restoration to those who desire healing and freedom. Without acknowledging and processing pain, spiritual growth is hindered and Christlike maturity unrealized. Think, Feel, & Act like Jesus. What if every Christ follower really did think, feel, and act like Jesus? Healthy leadership and relational discipleship create the environment for Christlike transformation to take place. As a result, culture is changed and God is glorified!

WE BUILD DISCIPLE BUILDING CULTURE
Excerpt from WDA's original application for non-profit status, dated May 28th, 1974: The Worldwide Discipleship Association, Inc., will seek to be a servant to the churches and to other organizations in carrying out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ, that is in taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every Nation and to every creature and in building disciples of Jesus Christ and teaching them all things that Jesus commanded. The organization will be made up of workers who will raise their own support through voluntary contributions to the association and will be actively engaged in training and leading men in the teachings of Jesus Christ, both on the college campuses, in the churches and among the general public. To enable the workers to accomplish their tasks, the organization will hold seminars, conferences and retreats to bring together those interested people for intensive training in the program.

WE DON'T WANT TO JUST BUILD LEADERS. WE WANT TO BUILD LEADERS WHO ACTUALLY D I S C I P L E .
Bishop Emanuvel Dass oversees WDA's growing work in India. When he asked WDA to train him in 2016, he was surprised by how deeply personal and practical the mentoring he received was. He says, "I learned a lot through this training. RCAPS and NGP were so new to me and I was able to learn and put to practice what I learned." While translating WDA's "Knowing God" study into Tamil, Emanuvel said, "This has totally changed the way I view and relate to God!" Emanuvel recently planted new WDA ministries in Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. He continues to travel throughout India training leaders to build disciples along with a growing team of young Indian trainers, and is now raising funds to focus on his work with WDA full-time. Emanuvel lives in Chennai, India with his wife, Sarah, and his 3 children.

MEET THE GRIFFINS. Words from Martina:
Jada
We were initially introduced to Restoring Your Heart through WDA's discipleship classes at New Hope Church in 2015. My husband had attended seminary and I, too, was drawn to deep theological study, but our missional hearts longed to relationally walk alongside others, sharing our worldview. WDA seemed like an obvious vehicle to do that. What I found when walking out R-CAPS (Relationships, Content, Accountability, Prayer, and Situations) were my own emotional roadblocks. I had “right theology”, but when it came to relationships with others, even with Jesus, there was measured transparency. I had a love for God’s word but didn’t feel His love. I had a heart for leading people to Christ but didn't trust people in general. So when someone mentioned how life-changing RYH groups were, I immediately responded, although I had no idea what to expect. To say that RYH changed my life is a massive understatement. It wasn’t that the program fixed any of the relationships in my life, but rather gave me a road map that revealed how my thinking, feelings, and actions had brought me to this point in my life. As I peeled through the layers of my emotions and as this process gave those feelings a voice, something began to change. At first, it felt ugly and foreign. But now, I am learning to recognize what is triggering me into depression. I am learning to ask myself why I am upset over dirty dishes or spilled juice. Most times, there is something else going on in me - perhaps something connected to my need to feel significant, to feel valued. RYH has taught me how to tell myself the truth about my value in Christ in those moments, and take me down off the ledge of losing control -- I now have the tools to cast down every fiery dart that comes to cripple my thinking. I can actually live my life, and enjoy healthy relationships with my family and friends.
Words from Siafa: My wife, who was taking Processing Pain, the first group experience of the RYH process, urged me to experience RYH for myself. During her time in the class, I was not sure if I liked the program because of all of the emotions I saw her wrestling with each week. However, by the end of each experience, I began to see how our relationship was beginning to move in a much more positive direction. I decided to sign up for the next group being offered to men, and it was one of the best decisions I have made in my adult life. Through the RYH group experiences, I have learned how to properly process my thoughts and emotions by recognizing triggers and unhealthy thought patterns that I have carried throughout my life. I now also parent differently, more conscious of how my words and actions will affect my children even in adulthood. RYH has been a huge blessing to me, to my marriage, and to my children, and I am grateful for the opportunity and training which allows me to work through my thoughts and emotions in a safe environment. All that we have learned through WDA and RYH we attribute to God. We see Christ's hand in our lives completing a work in us that He started in my wife when she was 10 years old and in me when I was a young man of 24.
Martina and Siafa have both become trained as RYH Facilitators so that they may help lead others toward emotional and relational freedom too. Martina began co-leading her first RYH group in January 2019. The Griffins live in Newnan, GA, where they homeschool their children and serve their community.
