Welcome to your November issue...

N

o vember? No way! Are we really only ten weeks away from 2024? Still, it’s been for many of us a most enjoyable year so far and, with the festive period just around the corner, there are plenty of wonderful things still to come.

Remember, though, that it shouldn’t just be “looking after number one”, as there are so many people for whom the coming weeks, (made worse by the cold and cruel winter weather), are going to be “endured” rather than “enjoyed”. Let’s all look out for each other, especially that lonely neighbour who we think might be ok, but why not just make the call to make sure? Kindness and being a good neighbour cost nothing! A big thank you to all our contributors and advertisers in all our five “Discovering” magazines who continue, month after month, to supply such a wide range of informative, entertaining, and very useful features and advice.

Claire x

In line with the very popular emphasis these days on us “getting our daily 10,000 steps in”, the Royal British Legion has gone one step further (or rather 1,000 steps further!) with its “11,000 Steps a Day in November” challenge. This number, of course, signifies the eleventh day of the eleventh month, a day where the nation comes together to remember the incredible sacrifices made by members of the Armed Forces, during the two World Wars and in various conflicts since 1945. Full details can be found at www.britishlegion.org.uk And finally: If I had rabies and you offered me a dose of bird flu instead, I’d bite your hand off! After a lifetime of having sung “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, Judy Garland once said, “I don’t think I’ll ever get over it”. Enjoy the read … and for all you moustache cultivators, have a magnificent “Mo-vember”!

Celebrating European Languages Day

A

t Morton, children start learning French in Year 3; this continues until the final term of Year 6 when pupils are taught some basic Spanish. Each year, in September, we come together as a whole school to celebrate the European Day of Languages.

This year’s celebration was a huge success. In assembly, we listened to many of our EAL pupils speak their home language and (thanks to Mrs Stacey Cooper of Bourne Academy) some of our ex-pupils popped up on video to speak French to us. Little Owls nursery children enjoyed a French story about a friendly green monster, whilst Year 2 learnt how to describe pets in French using colours, followed by a tastetesting session. German and Italian also featured, with paper plate pizzas and parachute games helping

Year 4 revise Italian food vocabulary. Year 3 produced some beautiful artwork and some excellent spoken and written sentences to introduce themselves. Big thanks to Mr Liam Edwards, Spanish teacher at Bourne Grammar School who had kindly videoed many of our ex-pupils, and who spent the full day with us teaching. To find out more about the school and on-site nursery you can join our Open Day on Thursday November 2nd. To book a tour please contact us on 01778 570389 or enquiries@morton.laat.co.uk.

Property Improvements helps Thurlby Tigers build for the Future

A

local carpentry and joinery specialist has linked up with Thurlby Tigers Football Club to sponsor a new playing kit. Max Parry, owner of Property Improvements, has funded branded shirts and hoodies, shorts and socks, for Tigers’ Under 13 Orange team for the 2023-24 season, as last season’s champions of the Peterborough Junior Alliance League Division 4 begin life in Division 3. The Tigers’ players enjoyed a photoshoot in their new kit ahead of their openingday victory over Wittering Harriers at Lawrance Park. “I sponsored the team as a way of putting something back into the club,” Max said. “I have been following the team since my son joined at the age of five, and that team has developed very well with the coaches’ tuition.”

Under 13 Orange team manager Phil Smith added: “Grassroots football is entirely dependent on volunteers and this includes parents/carers and extended family and friends coming forward to support clubs in areas such as sponsorship and fundraising. We would like to thank Max and Property Improvements for their backing.” Property Improvements, which offers a wide range of services to support house renovations, alterations and conversions as well as building new extensions, can be contacted via their Facebook page or by emailing parryscarpentryandjoinery@hotmail.com.

Revitalising the Royal British Legion Club

T

he outdoor area of the Royal British Legion Social Club recently underwent a significant transformation, thanks to the efforts of the club’s Vice-Chair, Kevin Brown. The area, previously worn and dilapidated, was in desperate need of a facelift and Kevin took on the responsibility of this quite mammoth task, with various club members helping out wherever they could.

The transformation was not limited to maintenance and repairs though. The outdoor space has been further enhanced by Elizabeth Hoile, granddaughter of one of our members, who produced a stunning work of art on the side of a container that now serves as both a functional wall and a canvas. The project gave new life to a worn-out area, which is now a welcoming ambient space for all.

Remembering Ben

On a warm and sunny Bank Holiday Monday, the area was officially opened for a fundraiser for the Tay Sachs Charity, in memory of Ben Hart, a club stalwart and treasurer for many years, who sadly and quite suddenly passed away recently. The sum of £200 was raised and generously matched by the Bourne Lions Club. We are looking forward to further

enhancing the area in time for summer next year and to holding an annual fundraiser. The Social Club of the Bourne British Legion is open to all members of the public for a subscription of £10 per year. Pool and darts teams and leagues are thriving and welcome new members. Live music entertainment usually takes place once a month. For further information regarding membership, please contact Teresa on 07506 743014. Bourne & District Royal British Legion Social Club, 7a Burghley Street, Bourne, PE10 9NS.

Help to Make Local Friendships

T

hank you to everyone who celebrated “Friendship Month” with the Nene & Welland Oddfellows this September. It was wonderful to see so many people from all pockets of the Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire community come together and enjoy themselves at our special events. Our gratitude also goes to Stamford & District Indoor Bowls Club who helped to make our Chairman’s Afternoon Tea such a success, and whose kindness shown to our guests and members was second-to-none.

A key reflection this year was how some of our newcomers mentioned that in later life their struggle wasn’t in having the desire to meet new people, but in knowing where to begin. If this is the case for you, our meet-ups are a great starting point for building local friendships, as we’ve got a number of 14

A great first event would be our Keep Warm events on Thursday November 9th, December 7th and 23rd, at 2pm at Oddfellows Hall, 57 Church Street, Market Deeping. PE6 8AN. This is a free event, with free refreshments and games available, or just come for a cuppa and a natter. We also have craft clubs, Cold Pudding Club, lunches out, talks and bingo. In December, we have a Carol Service at the Hall, Coffee and Mince Pies at Waterside Garden Centre and a Soup Lunch at the Hall. If anyone would like to try us or wants to receive a copy of our local events diary, contact Sarah (Admin Assistant) or Karen (Branch Secretary) on 01778 342006 or email sarah.hitchcock@oddfellows.co.uk or karen.earth@ oddfellows.co.uk. Iron Flame

t. 01778 392777

Broadly Speaking

BY REBECCA YARROS

Everyone expected Violet Sorrengail to die during her first year at Basgiath War College, Violet included. But threshing was only the first impossible test meant to weed out the weak-willed, the unworthy, and the unlucky. Now the real training begins -it’s gruelling and maliciously brutal and designed to stretch the riders’ capacity for pain beyond endurance. Although Violet’s body might be weaker and frailer than everyone else’s, she still has her wits, and a will of iron. But a determination to survive won’t be enough this year. Violet knows the real secret hidden for centuries at Basgiath War College – and nothing, not even dragon fire, may be enough to save them in the end. (Released November 7th).

BY STUART BROAD

Stuart Broad is the ultimate competitor – addicted to the pressures of Test cricket, the big occasions and being thrust into the heat of battle. A multiple Ashes winner and World Champion, Broad was integral to some of the greatest England teams of all time. His awards and achievements, however, don’t tell the whole story. Broad’s passionate and spontaneous behaviour has made him a fan favourite. No other player feeds off the crowd quite like he does. He shares the moments from the game which have made him, and those that almost broke him. (Released November 9th Signed copies available).

The Nutcracker and the Mouse King’s Christmas Shenanigans

BY ALEX T. SMITH

A gorgeous retelling of children’s Christmas classic “The Nutcracker” – with a chapter to enjoy each day in December. The Mouse King is up to some very sneaky shenanigans. The night before Christmas, he steals the key to the Kingdom of Sweets and sets out to cause as much mayhem as he can! Clara and Fritz Strudel, and their friend the Nutcracker, are the only ones who can stop him. But when a magical curse is put on Fritz, it’s a race against time to make it to the Kingdom of Sweets and find the Sugar Plum Fairy – the only one who can break the spell!

West Heart Kill

BY DANN MCDORMAN

It’s the Fourth of July weekend at the prestigious West Heart Country Club. Gathered for cocktails on the first evening are just some of the guests: the club president, the treasurer, the snooping schoolboy, the bereaved father, the taciturn caretaker, the prospective member...

18

Bourne

And there will also be a body, and a private detective, and a fiendish mystery to solve. But you are about to find out that you have a role to play in this mystery too! “West Heart Kill” is an outrageously original and imaginative murder mystery that is both a love letter to the greats of classic crime fiction and a brilliant puzzle. Addictions

our addiction may be related to sugar, caffeine, food, or weight loss. You could be addicted to smoking, gambling, alcohol, compulsive shopping, or even the overuse of gadgets. No matter what your addiction is, when it begins to disrupt and control your life, it’s time to kick the habit. Until recently, very little was known about how the brain can turn off the desire for addictions and how the subconscious mind can stop addictive urges. It is time to look at the science of how the brain works, how the subconscious mind controls our life, and how to change it for good.

brain doesn’t automatically respond in the old way because it now responds in a stronger and healthier manner. The very thing that used to cause cravings and relapse, now actually reinforces the commitment to overcome the addictive behaviour. Based on what we now know about the brain, the neuroplasticity, and the biology of belief, you can begin to approach addiction and recovery from a new perspective. Using newly discovered and clinically accepted approaches, the mind and behaviour modification techniques work to retrain and recondition at the core unconscious level. The brain is a supple, malleable organ, as ready to unlearn as it is to learn, capable of transforming, resetting and repairing its internal communications.

Take control of your addiction We already know that the brain is constantly changing. The neuroplasticity of the brain allows focused treatment to create new neural connections. Without treatment, the brain uses neural pathways to trigger emotions, needs, pleasure, and cravings, which feed the addiction. Treatment changes those responses by rewiring the neural pathways and the subconscious mind, thereby bringing an entirely different reaction. When exposed to any of the old triggers, the

Take control of those triggers Solution focused hypnotherapy reduces stress and anxiety and looks at the emotions or triggers fuelling the addiction, allowing you greater control over the addiction. Hypnosis helps to get to the root of the problem through hypnotic trance. In this state, your mind is more receptive to suggestions and ideas in tune with your ultimate goals, changing ingrained behavioural patterns and rebuilding your emotional health.

Wax Removal

t’s never too late to start a new business”, a phrase that certainly rings true for an ambitious Bourne lady who has recently established a microsuction ear wax removal service. At an age when most of us would probably consider retirement, Julia Brown has decided to put to good effect her many years of accumulated knowledge and experience with Boots Opticians, with over two decades as a qualified hearing aid audiologist, and latterly with Scrivens. Performed by using a small suction probe to remove earwax from your ear canal, the ‘Tympa System’ of microsuction is quick, safe and painless. Julia covers a 25-mile radius from Bourne, and for those who prefer, microsuction can be carried out in the comfort of your own home. Since July, however, she is also fully accredited to perform microsuction of ear wax within the Lincolnshire Community Surgery Scheme, from the Galletly Practice in Bourne.

Wills vs Lasting Powers of Attorney

I

WORDS FROM KATIE MOORBY

often have clients attending the office to make or amend an existing will, who have never heard of a Lasting Power of Attorney, nor can they distinguish between a Lasting Power of Attorney and a will. It is a common misconception that if you have a will, you do not need a Lasting Power of Attorney.

It is important to clarify and distinguish between the two. A will deals with your assets once you are no longer alive, whilst a Lasting Power of Attorney deals with your assets during your lifetime.

Will ● A will stipulates who is to administer an estate

and where it is to go.

● There are many reasons a will should be drawn

up. For instance, an unmarried, cohabiting couple may assume that all assets pass to each other. This is not necessarily the case. Only a property that is owned as joint tenants passes to the surviving joint tenant automatically under the laws of survivorship.

● The laws of intestacy apply where there is

no will. This can mean your estate may end up in the hands of someone you would rather it didn’t.

Lasting Power of Attorney ● There are two types of Lasting Power of

Attorney: ‘Health and Welfare’ and ‘Property and Finance’.

● The individual making the Power of Attorney

appoints individuals who they trust to deal with their health and welfare, and their finances once they no longer have the mental capacity to do so themselves.

● Make sure that your assets are protected and

left both in the right hands and are dealt with to reflect your wishes, both during your lifetime and after. Now is as good a time as any to consider writing or reviewing a will and drawing up Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Help Shape the Future of our Parish

• What are the defining visual characteristics of

Bourne town, Cawthorpe, Dyke and Twenty? • W hich open spaces within the settlements should be protected from development? • Which unlisted buildings and features are of local importance for their heritage value?

Your comments on three draft documents are being sought by the Steering Group responsible for preparing the Bourne Parish Neighbourhood Plan (‘the Plan’) on behalf of Bourne Town Council. The documents will help to shape planning policies to be included in the Plan which will be used to determine planning applications in our parish.

What are the documents? Bourne Character Assessment.

This provides a summary of the defining visual characteristics of the villages and areas of the town, including both positive and negative elements. The Assessment can help decide how future development might affect the character of an area and can assist in identifying opportunities to reinforce positive characteristics and mitigate any negative elements. It will inform policy to be set out in the Plan to support new development which contributes positively to the character of an area.

Local (non-designated) Heritage Assets.

This includes a list of sixty-nine buildings, structures and features which have local heritage significance but are not of sufficient merit to warrant designation as ‘Listed Buildings’, for example. The paper outlines the criteria used to assess each asset on a consistent basis and identifies the specific criteria which justify its inclusion

on the list. Policy to be included in the Plan will support planning applications which recognise the historic importance of these assets.

Green Infrastructure.

This maps the location of open space within Bourne town and the villages. It also identifies existing green infrastructure corridors within the town and key waterways within the parish. It assesses the qualities of each open space to articulate its importance to the local community. Policy to be included in the Plan will support the protection of these assets and seek opportunities, where possible, to improve their quality and extend the green infrastructure network. We would welcome comments on the accuracy of the documents. You can also tell us, for example, about any important characteristics, buildings or open space within the town or villages that have not been included.

Venues Dates and Times If you are unable to access the documents online, paper copies will be available to view at the exhibitions to be held at the following venues and times:

November 18th Corn Exchange @ 1pm - 5pm

How can you submit comments? The three documents and a short questionnaire will be available on the Bourne Parish Neighbourhood Plan website www.bourneparishneighbourhoodplan.org. uk from November 18th. We will also be holding several ‘drop-in’ exhibitions, where you can find out more. Details of the exhibitions can be found below. You may wish to visit the exhibition before responding to the questionnaire which we would ask you to complete online. However, if you are unable to do this, you can request a paper copy either at the exhibition or from the Town Council office on 01778 426123. All responses should be received on or before December 15th, 2023.

What happens next? The Steering Group will consider all submitted comments and update the documents, where appropriate. The updated documents will inform policy to be included in a draft version of the Plan which we will consult on in 2024.

Local History

Grimsthorpe Gallery Opens Next Year

B by Brynley Heaven

Willoughby de Eresby have battle honours at Edgehill (1642) for example.

ack in medieval times, two important buildings stared at each other, west of Bourne: the Castle of Gilbert de Gaunt and Vaudey Abbey. While the Benedictine monks were suppressed by King Henry VIII, the castle partly survives as the south-east bastion of Grimsthorpe Castle. Grimsthorpe is a huge asset to our part of South Lincolnshire, a complex accretion of centuries of building and rebuilding and quite possibly incorporates purloined stone from the nowvanished abbey. The delightful ‘Tudor-ish’ south front contrasts with the baroque splendour of the north front by John Vanbrugh, which Nikolaus Pevsner says “is successful as a composition only if viewed frontally”. Ouch! Grimsthorpe seems to have been present at every signal moment in English history. The Barons

Lady Jane Willoughby de Eresby and Lucian Freud’s painting, “Woman in Fur Coat”.

44

Bourne

Nancy Astor retired to Grimsthorpe, her daughter having married into the Willoughby clan. On her deathbed there in 1964, Nancy woke up and deployed her trademark wit, asking, “Is it my birthday or am I dying?”. Her son replied, “A bit of both, Mum”. She was the very first woman to sit in the House of Commons, the second-ever elected. She was an indispensable social hostess and prime mover in pro-Appeasement Cliveden circles between the Wars, later becoming something of an embarrassment in the changed world after 1940. Some histories brush her active anti-Semitism under the carpet. Next year, a purpose-built public art gallery will open at Grimsthorpe. Glass walls will look out on a woodland glade. The current chatelaine of Grimsthorpe, Jane Willoughby de Eresby, will select from her collection and it won’t all be ‘Country House fare’ of ancestors, royalty, landscapes, and sporting compositions. Far from it, Jane was a lifelong friend of Lucian Freud (grandson of Sigmund) a stratospheric top painter. If you are not familiar, do look him up on the internet; Girl with a Kitten; Benefits Supervisor Sleeping; Woman in Fur Coat (1968, referencing Titian 1557) which is of Jane herself. Lucian sold Jane some Francis Bacon paintings when he was in money trouble, which was often. So, the new gallery is a very big deal for us here in South Lincs, delivering a bit of cachet and, who knows, sprinkling a little stardust! Grimsthorpe offers Public Rights of Way on foot through the ridings of the Wood Pasture, which are open throughout the year and completely free of charge. This probably explains why they are seldom promoted, but they are amongst the top lowland landscapes to be found anywhere in England in both nature and aesthetics.

Landlord Updates for

EPC Regulations

I

n what some might consider a surprising finding, Shawbrook Bank claims that their research indicates four out of five UK landlords had made preparations, and spent money, to comply in advance with the previously proposed 2025 EPC regulation for residential letting properties.

● A fifth (20%) said that the cost of labour for property improvements was a key concern for their rental properties over the next six months, while 16% said EPC regulations were a concern.

The regulation, which has now been scrapped, would have required landlords’ rental properties to adhere to a minimum EPC rating of C by 2025 for new tenancies, and for all rental properties by 2028.

● The proposed regulations have also prompted many landlords to be more energyconscious when investing in new property, with over a quarter (28%) prioritising buying newer, more energyefficient properties in the next six months.

The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, faced a blizzard of criticism early in October when, with a General Election not too far away, he junked or delayed many of the initiatives and plans to reach Net Zero. The rental EPCs were just one of several casualties. Shawbrook’s research was conducted by ‘Censuswide’ in August 2023, surveying 1,012 UK landlords aged eighteen and over.

The key findings include: ● 80% of UK landlords said they were already prepared for the 2025 EPC regulation deadline. Of these landlords, almost a third (30%) said their properties already have an EPC rating of A-C, while half (50%) said they had plans in place to improve their EPC rating before 2025.

BY JASON TREADWELL, MANAGING DIRECTOR

2022

ESTATE AGENT IN BOURNE

● When asked about previous rumours of the initial EPC regulation deadline moving to 2028, 31% said it would give them more breathing space to complete improvements across their portfolio, while 29% said they will progress with their improvement plans regardless. ● Over three quarters of renters surveyed said that EPC rating was important. ● Additionally, over two thirds of buyers are also interested in EPC ratings, important for when the time comes to sell.

● 17% said they were not prepared and had no plans to improve the EPC rating of their property. ● 3% said they had not heard of the regulation. ● Nearly half (46%) of landlords have spent between £500 and £20,000 on improving or investing in their property in the last year, with the mean average amount landlords have spent being £25,148. This average amount rises to £37,164 for London-based landlords. Consumer Champion, Safe Local Trades Celebrates its Fifteenth Anniversary

An impressive A to Z of local traders have joined forces to help a leading consumer champion mark a major milestone. Peterborough-based Safe Local Trades (which matches customers to a tried-and-tested, vetted and DBS-checked trader at the touch of a button) is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary, with more tradespeople in the PE area than any other national network. October 1st saw the business, set up by SLT director Eileen Le Voi, officially celebrate its fifteenth anniversary. Working tirelessly to force out rogue and cowboy traders across Peterborough and surrounding areas, Safe Local Trades have received several awards for the community-focused service over the years. Eileen said, “The success of Safe Local Trades is due in the main to the fantastic members we have on board, all reliable, professional, and recommended. We have well over 17,500 genuine member reviews on the website, offering customers peace of mind.” And many of those members – including some who are themselves celebrating their own fifteenth anniversary with Safe Local Trades – recently met up to mark the occasion (pictured above). Eileen added, “As well as our work with the trades, much effort is placed on safeguarding the more vulnerable people in our communities, with working with the relevant agencies to offer advice on avoiding rogue traders, reporting doorstep crime and how to get involved with your local neighbourhood watch scheme.” Among those members to reap the benefits is Tony Bogusz of Style Home Improvements who was among the first traders to sign up to the scheme. Tony said, “Safe Local Trades has been a vital building block for our company over the last 15 years. We have found it helps reassure customers that we are a reputable, trustworthy company, and with the help of reviews and photos, customers can decide if we are the company for them before contacting us. We proudly display our SLT logo with pride.” For more details, please visit www.safelocaltrades.com

Your Support Circle Advice From NICK ASH,Managing Director W&P Legal

E

veryone has a support circle; for some of us, it is family, for others it’s friends, but at the end of the day everyone has someone who they know that they could turn to. I am lucky to have a few.

● Locked out of the house at 2am? That would be

Dave; he is a super practical guy who would know exactly what to do, and he is also the most likely to be with me (he would have been in the pub too!)

● Need some advice about the business? That

would be Bill; he has been a senior manager for most of his working life and has seen a lot of stuff and generally knows what to do.

● Where to go on holiday next year?

Andy and Maria are the most well-travelled people I know, and they have never steered me wrong. All these people, to a greater or lesser extent, are a part of my support circle and I am grateful and privileged to have them as a part of my life. But there is another level to my support circle; the people who will be there if something terrible happens.

● Elisabeth and Tom, who will run my business if I am incapacitated. ● Marie, Tom, and Jake who will make decisions

about my finances and my health and welfare.

These are the people I know and trust the most, and I am confident that they would be able to run things smoothly and take the right decisions about my life and my health if I couldn’t do it for myself. Most of the people that I know will instinctively answer all the above questions, put names to the people in all those roles, but very few of them can answer the next, most logical question. “So, you know who the people are, but what have you done to make sure it happens?” The answer in most cases is nothing. People just assume things will happen (statistically, less that 10% of people have done anything about this). Unfortunately, life isn’t like that, things don’t just fall into place, you need to take action. The answer is to make Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), simple legal documents that will authorise the people who are important to you to make the critical life decisions when you can’t. If you need help and advice on putting your LPAs in place, then please call us today on 01778 252301 and book your free consultation.

ARE YOU FED UP WITH CLUTTER?

F

Have you ever looked around your home and thought “Arghhh we could do with more more space?” Or are you about to have a tidy up but don't want to throw everything out? Well, the answer could be to make more use of the space you've already got, literally under your own roof.

or many homeowners, the loft is an underutilised area because it can be difficult and dangerous to reach. Peterboroughbased, loft ladder installer, Access4Lofts, whose slogan is 'Creating Space The Easy Way' can change all that, often in less than a day. Access4Lofts Peterborough owner Paul Norgate says much of the work he conducts is for growing families looking for more storage space or retired people looking for the safest access to their loft available. Paul says that with space at such a premium, it makes sense to make the most of your loft: “Installing a loft ladder is quick and affordable. It's less expensive than a garden shed and it means you don't have to store everything out of the house.”

For the full works, customers can get a retractable three-section ladder, a new hatch, a floating floor over the loft insulation and lighting. Paul says the new ladders are spring-assisted and lighter so they're much easier to use, come with a safety handrail and there is an option of widetread wooden steps. Access4Lofts is an approved “Which?”-trusted trader which means the company has passed its stringent checks. The company has full public liability insurance and all ladders and work carried out come with a lifetime guarantee. To book a free survey and quote, visit www.access4lofts.co.uk/peterborough or give Paul a call on (01733) 663207.

Wills ● Lasting Powers of Attorney ● Probate ● Estate Planning ● Trusts ● Inheritance Tax Matters ● Deed of Variation ● Care Cost Advice ●

Wills

Why do I need a will?

Wills are important to ensure that your assets pass to those you would like. If you are not married, your partner will not automatically inherit your estate. If you have children, you can also use a will to nominate guardians to ensure they are looked after if the worst may happen.

Lasting Powers of Attorney

Probate What is it?

What are they?

When a person sadly passes away, some banks and institutes require a Grant of Probate to enable you to collect in their assets. If you are selling a house, a solicitor will require this to complete the sale.

These are used when you lose mental capacity but must be created while you can still make decisions. If you do not create these in time, then unfortunately the solution is more costly and time consuming.

We are licensed to assist with the probate application on your behalf, as well as distribute the estate, making everything simpler at this difficult time.

Lasting Powers of Attorneys (LPAs) are documents that allow someone that you nominate as your attorney, to deal with your financial or health affairs on your behalf.
