Introduction
Welcome to Your October Issue. Inside Highlights
September’s Whittlesey Festival was, as usual, a fantastic day. Although the weather wasn’t quite as good as in recent years, the clouds couldn’t dampen the excitement as crowds flocked to the town centre to enjoy the attractions on offer. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Discovering stand to say hello and pick up a magazine (and a balloon or two!) – it was great to see so many of you.

Eat the Season
Pumpkin Pie Method 1 Heat the oven to gas 7, 220°C, fan 200°C. 2
To make the pastry, mix together the flour and the cinnamon, if using. Rub in the butter and stir in the icing sugar. Add enough water (about 7tsp) to mix to a stiff dough.
3
Roll out the pastry until it is large enough to line a 23cm x 23cm x 5cm deep pie dish. Pinch the edge of the pastry. Roll out any trimmings and, using a small cutter, stamp out leaf shapes. Attach to the rim of the pastry using a little water. Chill for 15 minutes.
4 Line the pastry with foil and fill with baking beans. Bake blind for 8 minutes. Remove the foil and beans and return to the oven for 2-3 minutes. 5
Reduce the oven temperature to gas 3, 150°C, fan 130°C. To make the filling, put the pumpkin and all other filling ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Pour into the pastry case and bake in the oven for about 1 hour until the filling is set. Remove and leave to cool.
6 To serve, whisk the cream until thick. Spoon onto the pie and scatter over the orange zest.

Exciting Times at The Nag’s Head The Nag’s Head, Eastrea, will be undergoing exciting changes during the month of October. The pub will close for a short time from October 9th for refurbishment, and will reopen at 6pm on Friday October 20th – and new manager Lorraine and her team hope to see as many people there as possible to mark the occasion. We spoke to her to hear about her plans for this popular village pub.
“This is an exciting venture for me to undertake, and with the support of my friends and family near and far, and a lot of hard work from myself and my wonderful team, I plan to turn The Nag’s Head into something a little bit special,” says Lorraine. “The aim is to create something a little bit different, while at the same time maintaining that traditional free house pub atmosphere.” Lorraine and the team have received many ideas which have helped to shape the planning process. As the centre of Eastrea’s community, they feel it’s important that The Nag’s Head reflects the wishes of local people. Lorraine explains: “It’s been great to get so much feedback about what people would like to see at the pub, and I’m really keen to hear from even more people about their requests or ideas. This is your community pub, so please do speak up!”
So what’s in store at The Nag’s Head?
Food The delicious traditional food will remain in the newlyrenamed ‘Rainies’ restaurant. Come along and see what we have to offer, and if you think anything is missing from the menu, please let us know!
Community It’s extremely important to us that the Nag’s Head is a community pub, so meetings of local clubs and groups are most welcome. Many clubs find it difficult to find a meeting place – so please talk to us to discuss your needs.
Live Music Who doesn’t love good live pub entertainment? Keep your eye on Discovering Whittlesea’s ‘What’s On’ guide to see what’s happening at The Nag’s Head.
Events The Nag’s Head is available for all kinds of events, from parties and weddings to Christenings and funerals. We can cater for all your needs and make your occasion special – and remember, the venue is free!
Art Calling all artists! Do you have a painting to sell? Then bring it along to the pub, and we will find a special place for your masterpiece on one of our walls. Of course, that’s not all. If you enjoy growing your own fruit and veg, you can bring your fresh produce to us and we will swap it for a lovely fresh pint (or, for the ladies, a glass of wine!). Your produce will then be cooked in our kitchen. After all, you can’t beat fresh local produce! Looking for your Christmas dinner to be cooked for you? Look no further – The Nag’s Head will be cooking Christmas Day, but be quick; we are already taking bookings and numbers are limited. Let our team make Christmas that extra bit special for you. “Finally,” says Lorraine, “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support in helping make this venture possible. My team and I look forward to meeting you very soon at The Nag’s Head.”
Coffee Morning Every Thursday morning, from 10am to 12 noon, we are hoping to open up and welcome mums and their small children in to enjoy a chat and a cup of coffee.

Health
Interesting articles to help you understand your body better
Body Unity
When we consider a human body we commonly see the skeleton as the structural core, with all the other tissue surrounding it. But is this really the scaffolding that knits everything together? If the bone were the scaffolding, then should we not be able to recognise a person from their skeleton alone? Most people would find it difficult to differentiate between a female and a male skeleton, whilst an expert would be able to identify an approximate age and gender but little more. However, if we were to remove every piece of tissue with the exception of our blood vessels, you would have enough detail to recognise your family member or friend. The same is true of our nerves. When we consider our development within the womb, the nervous system is the first to arrive on the scene, in week two. The blood system (i.e. blood vessels and heart) and the embryonic tissue that will form our muscles and bones (termed mesoderm) arrive together in week four. The nervous system will dominate the growth of the
embryo for the first six weeks, after which the other tissues grow outwards together, influencing each other as they progress. In general we can describe this interaction as the mesodermal cells multiplying outwards and sucking or dragging the blood vessels and nerves with them. In this way, the blood vessels and nerves become embedded in the developing tissue to such an extent that no cell is a cell width away from a blood vessel or nerve! In addition, due to their tensile strength, the blood vessels and nerves provide resistance to the growth and thus influence the overall shape of the muscle or bone. In this way, the blood vessels and nerves form a scaffold throughout the body which gives our muscles and bones a unified strength. When we consider the reach of our blood vessels and nerves, it begs the question: what are the consequences of dysfunction in these systems? In a world where stress and anxiety are high, can we be certain that these abnormalities are confined to the nervous system alone? Similarly, with high blood pressure so common, can we be certain that this is just a problem for the cardiovascular system?

Silver Award Makes Whittlesey a Shining Example! A weight-loss expert from Whittlesey has won a sparking silver award for the exceptional work she does in helping more than one hundred people in the area to lose weight every week. Gemma, who runs the Whittlesey Tuesday morning Slimming World group, has been given the ‘Silver’ status by the National Slimming Club because of her success in supporting local slimmers to reach their dream weight, improve their health and change their lives. The accolade is awarded to Slimming World consultants who have one hundred members or more in their group each week. She says: “I am delighted to have received the ‘Silver’ award for the Tuesday morning group. I’m passionate about helping people to transform their lives by losing weight, in the same way that I did when I lost 4st with Slimming World in June 2012. Losing weight made me feel happier and healthier and gave me so much more confidence.” “This award belongs to the group’s members. They’re the ones who make our group the success that it is, with their fabulous commitment, the wonderful support they give each other every week, and, obviously, their impressive weight losses while following Slimming World’s Food Optimising eating plan.” “Together, the Tuesday morning group members have lost a staggering amount of weight this year. Obesity is at record levels everywhere, and it’s never been more important that overweight people get the support to make changes to and lead healthier lives – both for themselves and the future generations, their children, too.” Gemma adds: “I’m over the moon to have become a Silver consultant, and now I’m going for Gold. That said, I feel like I’ve already struck gold – a fabulous job that I love, and great friends in the members! I’m very lucky and I truly believe I have the best job in the world.” To join the Whittlesey group, which is held every Tuesday at 9.30am and 11.30am at Childers, Whittlesey, either pop along or give Gemma a call on 07955 211027. As a medical practice, we recognise that some patients need to be seen outside of working hours. The Jenner holds two late evening clinics with appointments until 8pm, particularly for the benefit of patients who are unable to have time off, in normal working hours, to come to the surgery. To improve access to appointments, the Jenner operates a clinical triage process. This ensures that any patient that requires urgent medical attention will be placed on a triage list and a GP or Nurse Practitioner will call you back on the same day. If the medical team feel that a patient needs to be seen urgently, you will then be provided with a same day appointment. Often, when you ring, the call will go straight through to a clinician who will be able to make an initial assessment, and either suggest an appointment or treatment options. We understand how stressful it can be for parents and guardians when young children are unwell, so we commit to always seeing poorly children on the same day. The Health Centre has recently recruited a new Practice Manager, Chantelle Heanue, who is keen to promote innovative ways of working to ensure that every patient receives the very best experience whilst visiting the practice. Our newly updated website provides clear information and enables patients to access a range of services via your computer, mobile or tablet. You can: • Make appointments online • Renew/order repeat prescriptions online • View your GP record • Find information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results OCT OBE R 2 0 1 7

Editor's note It's always a proud moment for us when we receive kind words of feedback on the magazine. We recently received the following message from Glynis, who provided the information for August's Great War article on her great-uncle John: “My brother has sent me the August copy of Discovering Whittlesea, and I wish to thank you for the article on John Thomas Redding. The write up really did him justice – edited and delivered better than I could hope. The arrival of the copies here in Wiltshire was well-timed as my son and family were here visiting from Essex, so were able to take their copy and one for my History graduate grand-daughter, who lives in Surrey. As you can see we are well scattered! Thank you once again, the magazine will now go into the box of John's memorabilia.”
Church’s Delight at Award Recognition Recently, Whittlesey Methodist United Reformed Church was delighted to be presented with a special award. Mrs Jane Henderson, on behalf of the Children's and Youth Work Committee of the United Reformed Church, presented the ‘Child Friendly Church Award’ to the congregation, in acknowledgement of the “high standard of provision for children and young people within the church”.
Lift-off at The Broadway! The foyer at the newly re-opened Broadway Theatre, Peterborough, was packed on Saturday September 2nd for the official ceremony to mark its much-anticipated return to life. Dr. Peter Dawe OBE, representing the Dawe Charitable Trust, the new leaseholder, revealed a plaque celebrating the new era in the venue’s history. Also speaking were Councillor Ed Murphy, Harrison Fuller (Theatre Manager) and Alex Geairns (Marketing Director). The occasion was made all the more significant by the fact that it was eighty years to the day since the building first opened its doors, then as an Odeon cinema. Alex noted: “All the speakers urged those present to support the venue, by spreading the word that The Broadway is open for business once more, and especially to buy tickets for our first wave of shows. You can keep checking our website at www.thebroadway.today for the latest news.” Mark Ringer, Managing Director, said: “We’ve had some very nice comments, and also constructive feedback about what people would like from a visit to The Broadway. We are working on responding to those.”

In the meantime, be sure to check out our website and Facebook page for updates on the Forum. I look forward to seeing you on the 18th. Steve Hodson 01733 203064
Neighbourhood planning gives local communities the chance to shape potential development within their area, and help influence decisions that will have a lasting effect on the town. The most important part of the process is to engage with residents. A meeting has been arranged to give local residents, businesses and groups a further opportunity to share their views and speak with Councillors. The ‘Vision and Objectives Workshop’ will take place on Friday October 13th at the Christian Church in Broad Street, with three sessions throughout the day at 12-2pm, 4-6pm and 6-8pm. All sessions will cover the same content, but all are welcome at any of the times. The meetings will not simply involve passive listening, but rather engaging with speakers and local Councillors – there is no such thing as a bad idea or silly question. Understanding what may be possible and making others aware of your concerns and desires will make it a very productive meeting. This will be your chance to contribute – the greater the number of residents attending, the better the Whittlesey Neighbourhood Plan can reflect the wishes of the people who matter most: you, the residents of the parish. No booking required – just turn up! Refreshments will be provided. Remember, this is your chance to have your say!
Councillor surgeries will be held in Grosvenor House from 9.30am to 10.30am on the first Saturday of every month throughout 2017. Councillors present on Saturday October 7th will be: Councillor Alex Miscandlon (District and Town Councillor) Councillor Julie Windle (Town Councillor) If you have any matters of concern and wish to discuss them with a Councillor, then please come along and let us know.

Matters A WORD from...
Your Mayor Cllr. Ralph Butcher
Ralph Butch er
Well, summer is over and the children are back at school. The weather was not always good to us, but it was very kind to Whittlesey and its three music events that were held on the Market Square. All were well attended, and everyone seemed to have an enjoyable time. By the time you read this article the Whittlesey Festival will have been held; unfortunately, I missed it this year as I was away at our son’s wedding in Italy. I’m sure it will have been just as successful as previous years. The Council has received expressions of interest from local tradesmen and businesses to work on the transformation of the former police station into Council offices. This, unfortunately, is a process that will take some time to complete, but work is ongoing all the time. I’d like to just remind you of some forthcoming events – we have the Remembrance Parade and service on Sunday November 12th and the Christmas Extravaganza on Friday December 8th, and hopefully there will be a good turnout for both occasions. Finally, as a Council we are getting numerous complaints about speeding around our town and villages. All of us who drive know how easy it is to exceed the speed limits, so I ask that we all do our best to comply with the limits, as in the event of an accident it could save a life. Regards Councillor Ralph Butcher, Mayor of Whittlesey
Fantastic Fete Raises Money for Home The Gables, in Eastrea, held their annual Summer Fete at The Eastrea Centre on Saturday July 22nd. Organised by Rose Hoffman, Activity Lead at the home, and assisted by relatives, friends and staff, the fete was opened by the Mayor of Whittlesey, Ralph Butcher. The fete offered strawberry teas, a selection of stalls and games and a raffle, with entertainment provided by Pete Hale and the Cockney Crooner. The afternoon was well supported and in excess of £1400 was raised for the Residents’ Fund.
Could You Help Whittlesey Sea Cadets? Whittlesey Sea Cadets are looking for adult volunteers to join our team, and help deliver the cadet experience to our young people. Our unit, TS Olympus, has been based at Sir Harry Smith Community College for the last three years, parading between 3.15pm and 5.15pm on a Friday evening. We are looking for enthusiastic people to join a small team of instructors to help us deliver quality training, which has a strong nautical theme. While we would be delighted to hear from people holding qualifications in disciplines such as boating or engineering, we are also keen to hear from dedicated individuals looking for a new challenge. If you want to learn to sail, drive a power boat, orienteer or any of the other activities we offer – and then pass these onto a new generation of young people – this could be the hobby for you. Full training is provided, and (where appropriate) delivered from national governing body approved centres. All applicants must undergo a Criminal Records Check (Disclosure), as well as provide two suitable references. You will also attend some weekend based training to develop the fundamental skills needed in the organisation. If you are interested in helping us out, in the first instance please contact SLt(SCC) John Ashworth RNR, Commanding Officer of TS Olympus, at john. ashworth@sirharrysmith.cambs.sch.uk. We look forward to hearing from you.

Ready for Hallowe’en on October 31st? - What’s that all about then? Hallowe’en is a night of celebration, every year, on October 31st. The word Hallowe’en is a shortening of “All Hallows’ Evening”, (the day before All Hallows’ Day). Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, bonfires, costume parties, visiting “haunted houses” and carving pumpkins or “jack-o-lanterns”.
believed that the fires attracted insects to the area which in turn attracted bats to the area. These are additional attributes of the history of Hallowe’en.
Hallowe’en has its origins in the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain (pronounced “sahwin”). The festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture. Samhain was a time used by the ancient pagans to take stock of supplies and prepare for winter. The ancient Gaels believed that, on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead overlapped and the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc, such as sickness or damaged crops. The festival would frequently involve bonfires. It is
“Trick-or-treating” is an activity for children on or around Hallowe’en, in which they proceed from house to house in costumes, asking for treats such as confectionery with the question, “Trick or treat?” The “trick” part of “trick or treat” is a threat to play a trick on the homeowner or his property, if no treat is given. Trick-or-treating is one of the main traditions of Hallowe’en. It has become socially expected that if you live in a neighbourhood with children, you should purchase treats in preparation for trick-ortreaters.
Masks and costumes were worn in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or appease them.

Beware - this month we have a “Friday the Thirteenth” A warning to all you triskaidekaphobes that this month happens to include a Friday the 13th. The fear of Friday the 13th is called friggatriskaidekaphobia (Frigga being the name of the Norse goddess for whom “Friday” is named, and triskaidekaphobia meaning fear of the number thirteen), or paraskevidekatriaphobia a concatenation of the Greek words Paraskeví (meaning “Friday”), and dekatreís (meaning “thirteen”), attached to phobía (from phóbos, meaning “fear”).
So how is fear of the number thirteen demonstrated?
Fear of Friday the 13th is rooted in ancient, separate badluck associations with the number 13 and the day Friday. The two unlucky entities combine to make it one super unlucky day.
• More than 80% of high-rise buildings lack a 13th floor.
There is a Biblical reference to the unlucky number 13. Judas, the apostle who betrayed Jesus, was the 13th guest to the Last Supper.
• Many American cities do not have a 13th Street or a 13th Avenue, whilst many new houses built in this country will not be given a number 13 in their address.
It is traditionally believed that Eve tempted Adam with the apple on a Friday. Tradition also has it that the Flood in the Bible, the confusion at the Tower of Babel, and the death of Jesus Christ all took place on a Friday.
Finally, it is thought by some that, if you have 13 letters in your name, you will have the devil’s luck. Just note how mass murderers, such as Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson and Jeffrey Dahmer all have 13 letters in their names!
• Many airports avoid a Gate 13. • Hospitals and hotels regularly have no room number 13.

The Risks Involved in Making a ‘DIY Will’ - by Amy Pettitt
intestacy rules, a strict set of rules that may not be in accordance with the testator’s wishes. Even if the will appears to meet the formal requirements, there can be complications in obtaining the grant of probate necessary to administer the deceased’s estate. The Probate Registry may require additional evidence before they are satisfied that the legal requirements have been met. In difficult financial times, it is understandable that some people decide to make a ‘DIY Will’ without involving a qualified legal practitioner, but this can create significant risk. Will packs are widely available, at a relatively low cost, and offer a template for individuals to complete. There is also a considerable amount of free advice and sample wills on the internet, for individuals trying to prepare their own wills. There are actually very few legal requirements for creating a valid will, and these are laid out in the Wills Act 1837. The will has to be handwritten or typed, on any material, and must be signed by the testator (the person making the will), in the presence of two independent witnesses, who also sign it. Providing these conditions have been met, the will is legally valid. However, while this appears straightforward, the exact requirements are quite technical and can be easily misunderstood, even when the testator is following a template. If the legal requirements have not been met, the will may not be valid, for example, where the testator has signed the will on his own without two witnesses being present, or where the witnesses did not sign the will. If the will is invalid it will not be followed on the testator’s death. Instead, the estate will pass to the deceased’s family in accordance with the
This can happen when the testator has not used the specific wording that a legal practitioner would use to show that the formalities have been complied with when drafting the will. This can result in delay and additional costs. There can be great difficulties obtaining the evidence necessary to get a grant of probate if the witnesses to the will have died or cannot be traced. Even if a grant of probate can be obtained, there may still be complications in administering the estate, due to the wording used by the testator and the unforeseen legal consequences of those words. If there is uncertainty about what the testator meant, then the gifts contained in the will could fail. For example, a will stating that ‘I leave all my money to my children’ may result in a partial intestacy if the estate also includes a house and shares. A will is one of the most significant documents that a person will ever make. It is important that any will you make is valid, to ensure that your wishes are upheld, and to minimise the expense and stress for your family. The cost of instructing a legal practitioner when writing a will is far lower than the cost of dealing with an estate when a ‘DIY Will’ has gone wrong! Get in touch with Fraser Dawbarns today and our team of qualified legal practitioners can ensure that your will meets all legal requirements.

New Age Kurling At Whittlesey Indoor Bowls & Sports Complex
Just like curling at the Olympic Games, each team bowls four discs along the floor in an attempt to centre them on a bullseye target. As with bowls, the nearest to the centre wins the point, plus additional points for any other of his/ her discs that are nearer the centre than those of the opposition. Suitable for all ages and abilities, the game provides an opportunity for the whole family to participate together in a healthy and challenging sport. Tuesday evening sessions start at 7pm. Each session costs £3, plus 50p for tea and biscuits. No special equipment or clothing is necessary, although a change of indoor sports trainers would be appreciated to protect our floor; otherwise just turn up and enjoy! For further details, please call David Jones on 01733 205891. The complex is located at 194 Station Road, next to ‘Carpets for Less’.

How to Stop Your Machine Overheating This month I’ll be writing about a subject I’ve discussed before, but it’s such a common problem that it’s worth revisiting. Overheating towers and laptops are the causes of serious problems in about 40% of the machines brought to me. So why is this? Laptops and tablets do not have to be outside or exposed to any extreme weather in order to overheat. Processors or central processing units (CPUs), which are the brains of the machine, consume a lot of power, which in turn is converted to heat. Unfortunately, one of a computer's worst enemies is heat, as it can cause severe damage to any electronic component, especially integrated circuits (ICs). Heat damage is not an issue for smaller electronic components (which do not generate enough heat to cause problems) but nearly all laptops, towers and graphics cards produce enough heat to destroy themselves. To overcome this problem, heatsinks and fans are installed as standard items on nearly all computer CPUs, and their purpose is to remove the heat from the CPU (or other chip) and dissipate it into the air.
through the copper pipe and blown through fins attached to the side of the machine.
To do this, the heat must first be transmitted from the CPU to the heatsink. While this might seem like a simple enough proposition, it is not. Air makes a very effective heat insulator, so for the heat to get from the CPU to the heatsink, the latter must be installed without any air gaps whatsoever. Even a space of a few microns can slow down heat transfer. Since it is virtually impossible to make a CPU and heatsink that fit together perfectly, a thermal paste or grease is sandwiched between the two. This non-conductive, liquid material is designed to fill any air gaps to ensure the best possible mechanical connection between the two. The better air gaps are eliminated, the better heat flows out of the CPU and into the heatsink.
So how do you recognise the symptoms? When a laptop has been switched on for half an hour or more, pick it up, find the slits where the heat is blown out and hold it to your lips. If you can feel a very good flow of air, all is well. However, if there is little or no air, and the area feels hot to the touch, it will need to be dismantled and given a ‘clean and paste’.
In towers, heatsinks are usually made of aluminium, while laptops usually have installed a copper pipe which has 70% higher thermal conductivity than aluminium. In a tower a fan sits on top of the heatsink, which is designed with ‘fins’ to create more surface area. In laptops, on the other hand, the heat is drawn
The problems start when these heatsink ‘fins’ become clogged with dust. This prevents the heat from being dissipated, and so heat builds up in the machine. As a result, the machine either ‘blue screens’ (where it shuts itself down in an attempt to prevent damage from the heat), or simply overheats and ‘cooks’ itself, leading to a completely failed laptop or tower.
With a tower, the symptoms are sometimes noticed by realising the fan inside the machine never shuts off or is always running at high speed. Alternatively, remove the side and have a peek inside; if everything is dusty and dirty, you will see it is clogged and therefore it too requires a ‘clean and paste’. Finally, and as an added consideration, servicing your laptop or tower every couple of years will prevent the problem from happening, and will certainly extend the life of your machine. Happy Computing! Len

From red telephone boxes to the Yellow Pages – digital and mobile are leading to their demise It helped J.R. Hartley to find his fly fishing book and gave a step up to the little girl seeking a kiss under the mistletoe. But the bulky local business directory, the Yellow Pages, as we know it, is coming to an end, and from next year onwards, it will no longer be published on paper.

There was a time when no home would want to be without the Yellow Pages, in case of an emergency flooding or that last minute delivery of flowers. But after more than half a century, the directory will continue only in an online format, with the final print run next January. I suppose that the owners, Yell, have recognised that this is a sign of the times, and from the view of Safe Local Trades, our business, brand and reputation have largely been built online, born in an age when websites are our shop window. As a consumer-facing business, we, along with many other businesses, realise that making the journey as quick and as easy as possible for the customer will put a tick firmly in your box. Having a user-friendly website which can be navigated with ease is what people want, when looking for a service. Offering transparent feedback and customer reviews also helps to engage the customer and offer confidence. To have a mobile-friendly online service is crucial in today’s busy and fast paced life; whether you want to book an oven cleaner in your lunch break, make contact with a plumber whilst waiting on the platform for your train, or book an appointment with a landscape gardener whilst on the school run. And of course, along with the website comes the social media element – certainly not around in the days when the young man using Yellow Pages in the TV ad was looking for a French polisher! While there may be an element of nostalgia associated with Yellow Pages, our mobile lives mean we let our fingers do the tapping and swiping rather than the walking! OCT OBE R 2 0 1 7

Significant Changes Proposed for Local Roads - By Steve Barclay MP
A
s the new Parliament term begins, the summer and the harvest are coming to a close.
Farming is the backbone of the rural economy and supports a number of businesses across the constituency as well as making a huge contribution to North East Cambridgeshire. The Fens are home to over four thousand farms and to some two hundred and fifty businesses producing and distributing a diverse range of produce. For example, over one-third of all vegetables grown in England and £232m worth of potatoes are grown here. I am pleased to support the local community and National Farmers’ Union in the ‘Back British Farming’ campaign, with its signature day held on September 13th. More information on how you can ‘Back British Farming’, can be found at the NFU’s website: www.nfuonline.com/back-british-farming/ With the harvest comes a significant increase in the agricultural traffic on our already busy local roads. Road infrastructure is something constituents contact me about regularly, and I am pleased that our new Mayor of Cambridgeshire has, under devolution, brought extra funding to this area, including an extra £1.25 million to look at the viability of extending the M11 to the A47 Guyhirn junction, thereby cutting journey times from the north of the county to Cambridge to just thirty minutes. Mayor Palmer has also allocated a further £0.5 million to develop the business case for ‘dualling’‚the A47 from Eye to Walton Highway.
I am sure all residents of this area will be as delighted as I will be if this is given the ‘green light’, as it brings with it the potential for economic growth in Fenland, and easier access to both Cambridge and Peterborough, for both work and leisure, although clearly we are at any early stage. Improving our transport links is something that I have campaigned for throughout my terms in Parliament, and I welcome the Mayor’s positive attitude towards Fenland transport improvements. Along with this, the Highways Agency issued a statement in August confirming that significant improvements to the A141 and A47 junction at Guyhirn will be going ahead in 2020 – another piece of good news for our area. Further information on the proposed A47 improvements can be found at www.roads. highways.gov.uk/projects/a47-corridorimprovement-programme

Church Matters
Maintaining our Churches We all know that sinking feeling when the heating stops working, and the panic when we realise that the boiler has given up altogether. We have to sort out the budget to see if we can afford the repairs or replacement. Then comes the question of time - how long will it take? Who can we employ to do the work? We know the relief that we feel when repairs are carried out, the heating is back on and the bill is paid. Occasionally, we look around and realise that the time has come to decorate one or more rooms and carry out some repairs. We share the joy of planning the redecoration, but might not be so keen on sorting out the repairs. When the work is done and the upset to routines is over, we can look upon a job well done. Whether we did the work
ourselves or employed someone to do it, we can sit back and enjoy our repaired and newly decorated living space. With the use of our parish churches, similar responsibilities for repairs and maintenance arise. Each parish church depends upon local financial support to fulfil these duties. Depending on the nature of the work there may be limited grants available from various groups; the Heritage Lottery Fund, for instance. There is no direct state funding. Our four churches depend upon the generosity of local people. The monies come from the generous giving of congregations, legacies and sometimes donations in memory of the deceased at a funeral. St. Mary’s, St. Andrew’s and Holy Trinity churches also have a Friends’ Organisation, and we are grateful for their fundraising efforts and tireless support. God bless you all Reverend Nigel
Whittlesey Christian Church
Are Values Under Threat? I’ve never been one for looking back with an exaggerated sense of fondness or regret, but there is a value to looking at the past in a desire to learn from it. While we cannot change the past, we can look back at it to safeguard us from making the same mistake over and over again. Every generation has its challenges, values and disappointments, and like many in the postwar period, I grew up with very few of the finer trimmings of life. As the seventh of eight children, I watched my mother place various amounts of my father’s salary in a seven-section rectangular tin. Afterwards there was very little, if any at all, for treats. Life was hard, and you made your own enjoyment. However, we had something that is constantly under threat today: parents who work at loving each other, making their marriage a success and being committed to their family. Sadly, the
governments and society of today seem to be rushing headlong into making it difficult for these things to happen. Families seem more ready to go their separate ways than to make family life work. At Whittlesey Christian Church, we strongly guard our sense of love and family, something many newcomers quickly recognise and appreciate. Recently, a group of our members ran a ‘Marriage Day Workshop’ which just involved our own married couples. It was so appreciated by those who attended, that it has been decided to make it available to the broader community. Marriage Day Workshop November 18th, 9am-4.pm To obtain more information about this excellent workshop, please contact the church using the details listed below. This day is free of charge; it will be our pleasure to bless, serve, and help you strengthen your family life.

- by Jen Barback, Curator of Whittlesey Museum Today, the image of a witch finder is well-known: a tall, dour man with boots, cloak and hat, carrying a cross and a flaming torch, ready to step forwards to save the credulous townsfolk from supernatural dangers – or to falsely accuse them of terrible crimes. Astonishingly, the so-called ‘Witchfinder General’ was a real historical figure, one young man whose impact was so shocking in his own time that his story has been passed on in the popular imagination for almost four hundred years since his retirement and early death.
on their bodies, in a parody of breastfeeding.
It has been suggested that Witchfinder Matthew Hopkins was England’s worst ever serial killer, although his actions were largely officially sanctioned at the time. He and his colleague are believed to have been responsible for the deaths of 300 women and a handful of men in fourteen months between the years 1644 and 1646, during the social upheaval of the Civil War. This accounted for approximately 60% of all ‘witches’ hanged in the 350 years of English witch trials. His witch-hunts mainly took place in East Anglia. Hopkins retired and died in 1647, when he was still only between 25 and 28 years old. The witch-finders justified their actions using the Bible, in particular Exodus 22.18: “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live”. To the people of the time, a ‘witch’ was a person who had made an agreement with the Devil to harm others, using ‘imps’ – lesser demons which allegedly took over the bodies of small animals to cause ‘mischief’ (evil deeds). Witches were thought to look after their imps by feeding them on blood sucked from wounds

Even at the time, the witchfinders faced vocal opposition for many of their practices and were even thrown out of some towns. The witch-finders were accused of exploiting vulnerable people, ‘fleecing’ towns of money by charging high prices for witch-finding, torture, manipulating the accused to extract confessions, and even of being in a pact with
the Devil themselves. They also seem to have taken particular pleasure in harming women and recounting salacious details of their supposed crimes and confessions, whilst admitting that sometimes “none hear (the confession) but himself”. Hopkins wrote that when a witch was first found, they were immediately taken from their house ‘to keep her old associates from her’ and so “by good counsel brought into a sad condition: by understanding of the horribleness of her sin, and the judgments threatened against her; she is brought to remorse and sorrow for

complying with Satan so long, and disobeying Gods sacred Commands and she doth then desire to unfold her mind with much bitterness”. However, he admitted that accused witches were sometimes ‘watched’ and ‘walked’ after arrest, meaning that they were forced to stand and keep moving around at all times, for several days, leading to sleep deprivation and vulnerability – this was explained as necessary to stop the witch calling and feeding their imps. As witches had denied their own Christian baptisms, it was also thought that all water would reject them, so another infamous test for witchcraft was to ‘swim’ a suspected witch by tying them up and throwing them into a river; if the victim floated they were a witch, and if they drowned, they might have been innocent and would then be rewarded in Heaven. Pets’ Corner
Whittlesey Veterinary Centre Animals’ senses are much more heightened than humans’. Their eyesight, hearing and awareness are vastly increased, depending upon the species and age of the animal. Many people don’t like sudden loud noises such as fireworks, but at least humans are generally aware of where the sound is coming from; imagine the fright from the perspective of an animal, who has no idea what is making any sudden loud noise or bright light. Such things can greatly increase stress levels in your pet and lead to anxiety. With this in mind, a loud bang or bright flash of light from a firework can be very frightening to your pets. Working gundogs are used to loud noises on the shooting field, but even they can be startled by fireworks, as they often have an additional ‘whizzing’ sound that occurs after the initial bang and flash of light. It is not just cats and dogs that get scared – birds, small furry pets and rabbits can also be frightened. Even fish suffer as the noise is magnified through the water. In the ‘good old days’ firework displays were confined to one or two nights around the actual date of Bonfire Night, but now, with the advent of fireworks for any and every occasion, it is difficult to predict when to be ready for the noises. There are several items on the market to assist in lowering the anxiety of your pets, such as nutraceuticals to help keep cats and dogs calm, and special coats that work on a swaddling principle to comfort them. Rabbits and small furries can be brought into the garage at night and covered with a blanket or piece of carpet to help deaden the noise, or if this is not possible, just cover them outside and give them extra deep bedding to bury themselves in for comfort.

All of the above methods have varying degrees of success, depending upon the temperament of your pet and other factors such as the proximity of the bangs and flashes. If your pets are inside and you are going out for the evening, close the curtains to keep out the sudden flashes and turn on the radio or television to maintain a constant sound. This will make any loud noises less alarming. Many pets that are scared by fireworks have been known to run away if they are outside unattended, so please make sure that your microchip details are up to date to ensure you and your pet are quickly reunited should they stray. Finally, never take them to a firework display. Please enjoy the firework season, keep safe around fireworks, and in particular, keep your pets safe.

School News
STEM Day Kicks Off New Year at New Road The new school year got off to a great start at New Road Primary School. Our Foxes class of Year Three and Year Four children started their ‘Mighty Metals’ topic and spent the day with Ewan Meacham, an aeronautical engineer and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) volunteer. He worked with them to teach all about how friction is affected by surface area, and the surface itself; magnets, and how to make electricity with magnets; and levers, and how they can be used to lift heavy objects. The class had a go at making their own compasses by turning a paperclip into a magnet.
Egg-citing Times in Year 5! Year 5 pupils at Park Lane were excited recently to learn all about life cycles, and to introduce some new additions to their year group. The Happy Chick Company brought in eleven eggs for us to hatch as part of their ‘Beast Creator’ topic. We were lucky enough to have ten eggs hatch in total. Half of the chicks were moved to a brooder box, and the others were left in the incubator to keep the newest arrivals company. The last one to arrive struggled out of its shell just as the children were about to go home! Chicks are very social animals and it would have been cruel to leave just one in the brooder box on its own. A few days later, the children finally got the chance to hold the chicks, a very exciting experience for them. Mrs Gregory showed them how to hold the chicks gently and carefully – if you hold them on their back they just go to sleep! The chicks soon got used to the children. Lorraine Quince, IT Support/Communications at the school, said: “Hatching eggs in school is a fantastic learning experience for the pupils. Children in all other year groups have visited Year 5 and have been fascinated to watch the chicks hatch and grow.” As the last day with the chicks approached, the children noticed how much they had grown and how noisy they had become, especially after they had eaten their food! They also noticed how their wings were now almost completely covered with feathers. The chicks have all gone to local smallholdings where they will be cared for and continue to thrive. 60

It was a very interesting and educational day, and everyone at New Road would like to say a huge thank you to Ewen!
The First Day of School At Alderman Jacobs School we appreciate how important the first day of school is. Our recent OFSTED inspection recognised this, saying: “links with parents are strong, and they are pleased with how children settle into the Reception classes.” We start the process early with open afternoons, and after Easter each child will have two further visits to explore the classrooms and meet their teachers. At the welcome meeting in July, families are given exciting packs containing a variety of resources to help prepare them for their entry into school. Once September arrives, home visits give the children an opportunity to build a relationship with their teachers in their own environment. Finally, the time comes that each child has been waiting for: their first day at school. “It may take a few days to welcome everybody into school, but we believe that every child and parent should have the chance to feel special on such a momentous occasion,” said Mrs Holdsworth, Assistant Headteacher for Early Years, who is pictured here with Lily Burnett-Shepherd. We will be starting the whole process again with two open afternoons on October 9th and 11th, starting at 2pm. To book a place, please ring 01733 202403 or email office@aldermanjacobs.cambs.sch.uk. The Importance of Mental Health With the new academic year starting, children’s mental health is very much a talking point again. Mental health problems are reported to affect about one in ten children and young people, often as a direct response to what is happening in their lives.
• Going to a school that looks after the wellbeing of all its pupils
Sadly, around 70% of young people who experience a mental health problem have not had appropriate interventions at a sufficiently early age. At YPCS, we believe that the emotional wellbeing of a child is just as important as their physical health. Having good mental health allows children to develop the resilience they need to cope with life’s challenges, and supports their growth into well-rounded, healthy adults.
Of course, these aren’t the only important factors. Feeling loved, trusted and safe, having a sense of belonging, and having some control over their own life are also key to good mental health in children and young people.
So what things help and support a young person’s mental health? • Being in good physical health, eating a balanced diet and getting regular exercise • Having time and freedom to play, indoors and outdoors • Being part of a family that gets along well most of the time
OC TOB E R 2017
• Actively taking part in local activities for young people
Most children grow up mentally healthy, but recent surveys have suggested that more children and young people are experiencing mental health problems than thirty years ago. That’s perhaps because of changes in the way we live now, with social media and developing technology significantly affecting the experience of growing up.
If you are worried about a child, or you are a child and want to talk to someone, please call 0800 634 4395 or text 07738 949585.

A Tale of Two Benches The first weeks in September proved to be a very busy period for Street Pride. We installed two new benches locally, the first of which is situated on a cycle path between Funthams Lane and the Green Wheel Bridge. This bench was kindly donated by the Whittlesey Lions and is in an ideal position for bird watchers. The second bench was installed by the side of the A605, in the grass close to the New Queen Street Surgery, and was generously donated by the Whittlesey Round Table. We would like to thank both organisations for their generous donations for the benches, which will be maintained by Street Pride.
Looking Ahead at Ladysmith WI This is the time of year when committee members put their heads together to come up with a varied and interesting programme for the next year. It's now almost finished and looks great. It will include an Indian cookery and spice demonstration with tasting, forensic science ‘from the inside’ and a film of the Great Fen Spitfire excavation, as well as our parties and lunch outings. A representative from the East Anglia Air Ambulance is coming to our next meeting on Tuesday October 10th to tell us about the work they do in such difficult situations. The competition this month is pickles or chutney. For more information, please contact Sue on 01733 205927 or Liz on 01733 689599. 62

Finance
Inheritance Tax (IHT) by Eamonn Dorling
Many people are confused about this tax, so let’s start with the basics: Inheritance Tax (IHT) is levied on total estate values above an amount; this could differ depending on your circumstances. Most individuals in the UK have a personal allowance of £325,000, below which no tax is levied. An additional allowance may be used against a qualifying property – more of which later. In most cases, a single person leaving an estate valued below their threshold will incur no tax burden on their chosen beneficiaries. As an unlimited value can be left between spouses tax-free, it is important that both individual allowances are used when a total estate exceeds £325,000. If an estate appears to be above the taxfree ceiling, it is important that professional advice is sought because tax at 40% will make a significant hole in the estate value – and in most cases, plans can be put in place that prevent IHT becoming an issue. To give a simple example, £25,000 of an estate subject to IHT will cost the executors £10,000, which is fine if you like the taxman more than your relatives! Some allowances include gifting when the funds will do most good – setting up trusts, the use of reliefs that encourage ongoing business and retaining agriculture. There are investments that are excluded from an IHT test, and some that allow tax paid to be reclaimed. All these areas need planning and preparation. Many people think ISAs are tax free, but they are not exempt from an IHT calculation (although certain pension plans can be).
The additional property allowance can be used on your main residence, provided it is passing to a blood relative. Initially (2017/18) the allowance is £100,000, rising to £175,000 in 2020/21. At that time a couple may be able to pass on £1m free of IHT, provided their case fits all the legislation. If in doubt you should find out more. If you want the maximum value to be delivered to the people or organisations set out in your wishes, seek professional advice from an Independent Financial Adviser with good legal contacts. A combination of financial planning and well-written legal work can make a significant difference. ‘Wear it Pink’ is Coming!
T
his October, Breast Cancer Now is encouraging the UK public to dig out their pink glad rags for their flagship fundraiser, Wear it Pink, on Friday, October 20th.
Wear it Pink, the UK’s biggest pink fundraiser which takes place during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, calls on supporters to ditch their everyday colours and pull on some pink to raise money for Breast Cancer Now’s life-saving breast cancer research. The fundraising event, back for its sixteenth year, encourages supporters to hold events in their homes, schools, and workplaces and make a donation to Breast Cancer Now to help the charity achieve its aim that, by 2050, nobody will die from breast cancer.
The charity’s flagship fundraising day started in 2002 and has so far raised over £30 million for vital breast cancer research.
Johnny said: “I will be wearing it pink this year. Quite simply, I take part because it’s easy and it’s great fun to do. You don’t need to train and you can be as creative and as crazy as you like.” Lottie Barnden, Senior Fundraising Products Manager at Breast Cancer Now, said: “Wear it Pink is a brilliant opportunity for individuals, groups, co-workers, and families across the UK to fundraise together. There are so many ways to get involved, from holding a pink cake sale or sports day in the office or at school, to having a pink party at home with your friends. Whatever you do, you’ll be raising money for Breast Cancer Now’s life-saving research. “Right now breast cancer is at a tipping point. Every year in the UK, around 50,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer, and sadly around 11,500 women and 80 men will lose their lives to the disease. This is why we are urging everyone to get involved in Wear it Pink.” To take part in ‘Wear it Pink’ this October, please visit wearitpink.org for further details, fundraising ideas and how to register for your free fundraising pack.
Johnny Devereaux started supporting Breast Cancer Now after his sister was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in 2013. Since then, he’s taken on challenges and marathons to raise money for the charity’s research and this year he will be dressing up in pink for the day to take part in Wear it Pink for the fifth time. 70

Reaching New Heights for Charity On Saturday September 9th, twenty six plucky fundraisers took the plunge as they participated in a charity skydive for the Young Peoples Counselling Service, helping to raise an incredible £8,000. £200 was donated to Gemma’s Hearts, who fundraise to provide defibrillators in Yaxley and Farcet, and £50 to the Scouts (who kindly loaned their barbecue). £156 was raised by a raffle at The Three Horseshoes, Yaxley, where many of the skydivers and their families relaxed after the jump.
with their donations matched by BGL to bring their total raised to a staggering £3,500! Louise Russell, Chair of the charity, was among the jumpers. “It was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before,” she said afterwards.
Sadly the weather did affect the afternoon jumpers, and three had to be postponed to a later date.
The charity would also like to thank Horsepower Clothing for supplying t-shirts at cost prices, as well as the many local companies who donated raffle prizes: Blackmore Trust, Sensy (Michelle Drew), Margaret Surrey Bath Products, Bounce Peterborough, Toby Carvery, Excel Auto Care (who donated a free MOT) and Zoe Porteious at Dolly’s Bows.
YPCS are extremely grateful to BGL Group, who have supported the charity now for two years. Seven of their sales team took part in the jump,
The money raised will help fund almost 270 counselling sessions for young people in Cambridgeshire.

Local Charity’s Heroic Fundraising Efforts NGNPUK’s very own Captain America will be taking part in Peterborough’s Perkins Great Eastern Run on October 8th, raising money for syringe drivers in the local area. Wonder Woman will also be strutting her stuff for the charity, so please do pledge your support if you can for a really ‘super’ cause! Every penny really does count, and after all, anyone willing to try to run thirteen miles in a super suit deserves a medal! The charity has chosen to use BT’s MyDonate giving page, as unlike other websites they do not charge a monthly fee. It's just as easy to use, and more money goes into the syringe driver pot. You can donate by visiting www.mydonate. bt.com/fundraisers/leenicholls1.
A Word from the Royal british legion Once again the organisers of the annual Whittlesey Festival did us proud with another successful and spectacular event. Well done to all concerned. As in previous years we attended with our teddy tombola stall for the Poppy Appeal, and raised a total of £192.50. Many thanks to all those who donated their cuddly toys to us, and those who came and had a go on the tombola. The Poppy Appeal financial year ends on September 30th and, thanks to the generosity of local people, our total for this year will be in excess of £11,600.00 – a new record for us! Very well done to all who have donated and helped in any way. Our next meeting will be held at the Ivy Leaf Club at 11am on Sunday October 1st. This will be our AGM, when members will be elected for the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Branch Secretary. Finally, just a reminder that we still have some tickets left for our annual Band Concert which will be held at the Ivy Leaf Club on Friday October 27th. We have, once again, held the ticket price at £5.00. This is always a very popular and entertaining evening and is enjoyed by all. If you require any tickets, please contact myself (Ray Thrower) or Judy Darby. Heart screen ing k
Knowing this means we really have no choice but to screen as many of our 14-35 year olds as possible.
eep s
In the UK between 12 and 19 young people die each week as a result of an undiagnosed heart condition which causes them to go into sudden cardiac arrest. You may be aware we recently held a screening weekend for 200 young people. We expected to have 2 referrals (the average in other areas) we actually had 25 referrals from Whittlesey. Defibrillators For All is committed to making Whittlesey as heart safe as possible. We have already placed 40 defibrillators into the town and surrounding villages.

If we are unable to secure the equipment or this plan cannot take place for any other reason we will host the screening days in the same way we have before. What we are planning now needs the support of even more of our community. If you see an event we have planned, we really need YOU to support it in any way you can to help us to achieve this for our town.
Thank you,

The Local Music Scene
Just a Stage We Are Going Through?- by Dave Bailey The Whittlesey Festival, having been blessed the last two years with sunshine and blue skies, was preceded by a week of rain and cold windy conditions. On Sunday morning we were greeted with a damp and misty start, with the prospect of wind and rain later – but the show must go on! For those who have never been lucky enough to be present on a festival morning build, it’s certainly an eye-opener. The first crews arrive to place barriers and cones out at 5am, and the next job is to identify who owns vehicles left overnight (usually in key locations!) and clearing the food containers and cans discarded by Saturday night revellers. Then the serious job begins of erecting marquees and gazebos, setting out tables and positioning fairground rides. At 7.30am the team arrives to build the music marquee and deliver the portable stages, with the usual issues of trying to keep them level on wet grass. With power to the stage and safety checks carried out, the sound equipment is positioned, connected and powered up almost like clockwork. We try to run a ‘plug and play’ system at the Festival, with performers arriving with minimal equipment and using the amplifiers and microphones provided. With musicians bringing just their guitars and any effects pedals needed, coupled with the current trend of many local bands using a Cajon (box drum) rather than a full drum kit, this cuts down changeover time significantly. This allows for the sound levels from each ‘House’ amplifier to be balanced through the front of a stage mixer, and allows for minimal sound check and on-the-fly tweaking to get good quality sound.

Town centre events with closed roads present a logistical nightmare for performers bringing equipment into the performance area, and the occasional timetable revision is inevitable. The stage manager’s nightmare of acts pulling out or being delayed at the last moment can usually be avoided by keeping an act on standby, and asking them to report to the performance area thirty minutes before their time. We only briefly saw the sun on the day, but thankfully the rain held off until after the last performance. The only real scare was the marquee trying to take part in the flypast during the last song, but otherwise the day went very smoothly! Across the three performance areas, we had over 290 performers either playing, dancing or acting, and many more in the parade from all the local groups and associations. Visitors to the Festival were treated to a fantastic display of talent, all supported by an army of volunteers, St John Ambulance, Fenland District Council and an array of food, tombola and craft stalls. Local open mic listings can be found at www.outa-stock.co.uk/OM.htm

Highlights
Whittlesey Festival was the best yet! Organisers of the Whittlesey Festival were once again delighted with the success of this year’s event, which took place on Sunday September 11th, and would like to thank everyone who came on the day for all their support - we couldn’t have done it without you. Blue sky and sunshine was in abundance, creating the perfect back-drop for seven to eight thousand people to enjoy an absolutely fantastic day. The day started with the colourful and musical parade from Broad Street, and thanks again to all those who lined the streets and cheered along the route, helping to create a real carnival atmosphere as the parade wound its way to the Market Square. After the official opening by the Mayor of Whittlesey, children enjoyed free face painting, puppet shows and fairground rides, amongst many other activities. There was plenty to do for the adults too, with numerous stalls to visit, and everyone enjoyed watching the various dance and music presentations. These included the Rug-Cutters Lindy Hop dancers, The Solas School of Irish Dancing, and the awesome sounds of the Romford Drum and Trumpet Marching Corps and Peterborough and Bedford Highland Bands. The streets were lined with over one hundred and twenty spectacular vintage vehicles, adding a touch of nostalgia to the day. A spokesman from the classic car group said: “We are delighted to support the Whittlesey Festival year on year, as it is by far our
OC TOB E R 2017
favourite event. We simply love the atmosphere, and the visitors are always genuinely interested and passionate about us being there – we wouldn’t miss it.” Crowds were also treated to not one, but two, World War II fly-pasts. It was truly breath-taking to see the Spitfire, followed later on by the Lancaster. It was also such an emotional experience, serving as a reminder of all those loyal folk who fought on our behalf during the War. The Festival Schools Art Exhibition was held at the Whittlesey Christian Church in Broad Street, with some incredible work on display from local schools, including Park Lane, Alderman Jacobs, New Road, Coates and Sir Harry Smith. Prizes and trophies were awarded on the day by the Mayor of Whittlesey. Look out for an exclusive feature on the Art Competition in the November issue of ‘Discovering Whittlesea’. Once again, a huge thank you to everyone, and we look forward to seeing you at next year's Festival on Sunday, September 9th 2018. If you would like more information on how you can get involved, please contact Brian Smithyman on 01733 752093, or Jenny Parker on 01733 351005.
