Experience Puerto Rico

ATTENDEE EXPERIENCE IN PUERTO RICO

We understand that the return on experience is part of a successful program. Your clients and attendees will have a special meeting or event in Puerto Rico. Our destination offers tangible and intangible products that will provide visitors with new perspectives and ways to interact. You can host an event under the largest LED screens in the Caribbean, offer a hands-on cooking class with tropical ingredients, or taste specialty rum notes in a quaint setting. Your group can reconnect with nature at El Yunque National Forest or volunteer at a local farm or community. Puerto Rico will provide for a refreshed mindset to your clients that will last long after they have returned home.

CULTURE AND HISTORY

Living Boricua means embracing the spirit of adventure and finding joy in every moment. Whether you’re relaxing on a beautiful beach, discovering hidden swimming holes, savoring the crunch of alcapurrias, or joining a lively salsa dance party in the streets, Puerto Rico invites you to fully embrace each experience. When you choose to Make Your Meeting Boricua, your attendees will be immersed in a unique cultural journey that only Puerto Rico can offer.

The vibrancy of our island stems from over 500 years of rich history and the blending of diverse cultures. This fusion is evident in every aspect of our identity, as the traditions of the Taíno, African, and Spanish have interwoven to create a distinct Puerto Rican identity. During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Spanish colonial architecture, taste flavors influenced by African heritage, and hear the lingo still used by locals from the Taíno culture. Puerto Rico’s identity is a beautiful melting pot, where different cultures come together harmoniously. Throughout your stay, you will experience this cultural richness in every sight, taste, and sound, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

GASTRONOMY AND MUSIC

With endless evolution and constant transformation, Puerto Rico has evolved into a “foodie paradise”, incorporating many different influences and traditions. Combining traditional and trendy flavors, merging international and local cuisine, and reinventing those abuelita recipes, our chefs will take your attendees on a wonderful journey of flavors and experiences.

The Island’s cocktail scene has evolved with equal care. Puerto Rico is the birthplace of the piña colada, and you’ll find that an innovative approach to refreshing drinks continues to this day. Whether it’s one of the world’s top bars in Old San Juan, a mixology class, a tasting of local rums, or a poolside cocktail, your group find numerous ways to experience our unique Boricua cocktail culture.

Dance and music are essential when describing the energy and vibrancy of Puerto Rico. They are the epitome of traditional expressions of the Island’s Boricua culture and heritage, a unique mix of Taíno, Spanish, and African traditions. Most dance steps are synced to a specific rhythm and genre, and the music usually shares the same name. With many different styles performed, like bomba, plena, salsa, pop music, and urban sounds, your attendees will find a place to welcome them all.

OUTDOOR AND NATURE

From white-sand beaches and majestic canyons to glowing bio bays and the only tropical rainforest in the United States, Puerto Rico is filled with a wide variety of incredible places and countless reasons to get outside and explore. Whether you want to take it fast or slow, embrace the natural beauty that surrounds you in Puerto Rico.

Thanks to our warm, tropical climate, Puerto Rico’s beaches are ready to welcome you at any time of the year. Beaches here are never off-limits, and each one has something unique to offer, depending on the type of experience you want to have during your visit.

If you had to pick just one activity to enjoy on Puerto Rico’s crystal-clear waters, what would it be? Don’t worry – the good news is there’s no need to choose! Between kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, and simply lounging on our world-class beaches, our Island has it all.

With 36 nature reserves, 19 state forests, approximately 300 beaches, and the only tropical rainforest in the National Forest system all await your exploration. El Yunque, Puerto Rico’s tropical rainforest, is a truly magical place about one hour from San Juan with waterfalls, incredible views, and the freshest air around. For another unique experience visit Guánica’s Dry Forest, considered the best-preserved dry forest in the Caribbean. While that may sound unlikely on a tropical island like Puerto Rico, that’s just one of the many fascinating aspects of the island’s ecosystems. Hacienda La Esperanza Nature Reserve in Manatí and the Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve in Fajardo are also not to be missed. Regardless of your skill set, exploring Puerto Rico’s parks and natural spaces should be on every outdoor attendee enthusiast’s bucket list.
