From The Pastor’s Desk

A Good Life By Pastor Ben Funk MY, MY, MY? Where has summer gone? It seemed in the spring the weather had difficulty warming up. When it finally did, it was good and warm. Here we are reflecting on the good times we had with our family and friends. Taking campers to our favourite spots, riding our ATV’S on adventurous trails in the outback, or riding on our Harleys or others on the open road enjoying the scents of summer in the open air. Hopefully on our journeys we have had opportunity to be a messenger of good news and the light of God to those around us. Some

of us have experienced the loss of a friend or family member this summer. Words of comfort may not have generated much meaning to explain, why now? As God is our companion on the open road, so is He also our comfort in the more lonely and painful times. At Richer Fellowship we are open to walking with the challenging moments of life. Many exciting things have taken place in our community and we at Richer Fellowship were glad to be a small part of it. So as fall is fast approaching and school is starting for the majority of students, let’s all be encouraged and comforted that we are not alone on this journey. Jesus invites us to take Him along. Richer Fellowship invites you to come and visit us, and worship with us.

Richer Fireside Youth...

Fireside Youth Collides with Fisher Bay Bible Camp!

Youth Leaders took some of the Fireside Youth on a road trip up to Fisher Bay Bible Camp at Fisher River in early July. Youth participated in skills such as archery and spelunking, had opportunities to hear speakers from area churches expound Bible truths during Chapel, and spent lots of quality time with fellow campers. In August, camp counsellors from Fisher Bay surprised Fireside Youth by showing up for a wiener roast and games at the Dawson Trail Park. Youth will commence in September at the Richer School gymnasium. Dates and times TBA. For more info call Michelle at 204-424-5216 or email richerfiresideyouth@ gmail.com.
