As part of its offering to Members of the scheme, the annual conference, being held at Avoncroft Museum, Bromsgrove, is a free event where Members can network with other businesses and learn more about health and wellbeing in the workplace. This year’s theme for the conference is Men’s Health and topics on the day will include: domestic male abuse, signs and symptoms of prostate cancer, suicide prevention, mental health and nutrition. Some of the businesses who are involved in the scheme will be speaking on the day, discussing the initiatives they have been running to support men’s health. The newly accredited businesses will be celebrated on the day also. Jonathan Downes of Glassfull is one of the speakers on the day and he will be discussing ‘The Heart of Connection’. This talk will be a focus on the importance of being connected with our own emotions as the basis for being more connected with others - something men aren’t always naturally good at. Jonathan will also be discussing the problems caused by ‘expectations’ that we often put on ourselves.
Worcestershire Works Well are expecting a high demand for places on this event, so bookings are currently restricted to 2 representatives only from each organisation. A waiting list is being operated, so if you would like to bring more than two representatives, please send details to

LEVEL 1 ACCREDITED!
Staff at vietec dusted off their trainers and walking boots in a bid to get up, move, be less sedentary and be more motivated.
Working towards their Level 1 Worcestershire Works Well Accreditation,
the team at vietec decided to promote health and wellbeing in the workplace by competing in teams in a step count challenge for #WalkThisMay - a campaign organized throughout the month of May to encourage people to get outside and get some more steps in! This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to work together as a team. As part of this campaign, the team organised a special day out when they met up for the first time after lockdown when restrictions were lifted. They had the option to either walk or go by water for the 20km trip. Some went by barge, some walked! Phil Drew, Managing Director at vietec said “It was good to see the team join in with the WWW accreditation. Our company day out gave us the ability to wind down as a group and was a great success and hope we can continue to do more as a team. We owe Rebecca a debt of thanks for the hard work she put in the help us gain the accreditation.” Congratulations!
