HELP WANTED The City of Pawnee is accepting applications for Water/ Wastewater Operator. Duties include, but not limited to, operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of the water and wastewater treatment plants, collection and distribution systems, wells and booster pump stations. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work from ladders, and in confined spaces as well as extreme heights, and in ditches. Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and in emergencies, as well as, extreme weather conditions. Must be able to work as an “on call” operator after training period is complete. Must be able to wear a respirator and or an S.C.B.A. (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) Candidate must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license, C.D.L. is a plus. Candidate must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Candidate should have a “D”water and wastewater license and a “C” water and wastewater lab license, or the ability to obtain these licenses within one year of employment. Experience working with track hoes, backhoes, and other machinery is a plus. Wages are commensurate with qualifications.

Tiger Lily’s is nestled in the Broadway District in Cushing Oklahoma. Jennifer Hixson is a longtime Cushing resid bloomed into a calling. For about 20 years she has been a florist, working for various local florists on and off. Her p own flower shop where she could create unique and innovative designs. With the support of her fiancé and family, she Downtown Cushing in a week. Jennifer told me that Central Tech Business Center was a wonderful resource for her to create a plan. Connecting with Tracy at the Cushing Chamber helped Jennifer find her feet in her new adventure. Jennifer gushed abou Jennifer explained Downtown Cushing has so much to offer. It is the best-kept secret, so many businesses right here in much more to discover. Jennifer expressed the importance of shopping locally, when you shop locally you are support Jennifer says she loves coming to work and creating custom works of art for her clients.
