Greetings Stroud Citizens, We literally had a blast July 4th! I hope you were able to enjoy it. The band “Loose Gravel” played 3 hours of music in the park before the fireworks began. They were fantastic! The rain scared a few people off at first but when it cleared and the weather cooled off, it made for the perfect evening. First Bank and Trust provided hot dogs and water, the Lion’s Club had a dunk tank for entertainment and fundraising, the Firemen entertained the kids with a giant slip and slide, the pool was open, thank you to Marsha and Shena for all you do at the pool. The highlight of the evening was when the Firemen took over and provided the fireworks entertainment. They always do such a wonderful job, and this year was no exception. Thanks to GRDA and the Chamber of Commerce for their help in making this year another success.
We are starting renovation on the pond at Foster Park. Our hope is to clean it up and make it more attractive, inviting, and usable. The roads and pond will take time so please be patient with the process.
Don’t forget this is Sac and Fox Pow Wow weekend. See you there!
