Tuesday, 17 April 1st Centre Cívic Tomasa Cuevas Les Corts Short Story Prize Open to anyone aged 18 or over. Works can be submitted from 17 April to 17 May. Further information: lameva.barcelona.cat/lescorts

Centre Cívic Josep M. Trias i Peitx (Riera Blanca, 1-3) Books collected from the centre’s hall from 1 to 20 April, to be exchanged afterwards. Rules: 1 book = 1 point. No textbooks or damaged books will be accepted.

Thursday, 19 April Talk and discussion: Women writers on the big screen At 7 pm

Biblioteca Les Corts - Miquel Llongueras (Trav. de les Corts, 58) Public readings of short stories by women authors such as Alice Munro, Annie Proulx, Angela Carter, Doris Lessing and Patricia Highsmith and their relationship with films. Hosted by Lídia Bardina Molina.

Av. Diagonal, sea-facing pavement (Between Gran Via de Carles III and Carrer de Pau Romeva) A participatory, interactive and dynamic fair, full of products and entertainment. Boasting over 70 stalls selling roses and books, among other things, and a programme with over 40 activities and performances.

Av. de Sant Ramon Nonat Activities and workshops run by the neighbourhood’s associations and facilities. Livening up the Radars space with the En Clau de Clown company. As part of the festival, the Escata a escata solidarity mural will be created by the Barcelona-based artist Bel Mur, alongside other artists and anyone else who wants to join in.

Friday, 27 April Poems and songs with Laia Llobera and Murmuri At 11 am
