Six teams would dominate the season, with the Under 10’s, Under 11’s, Under 12’s, Under 13’s, Under 15’s and 6th Grade progressing to the finals. This would later see five go on to win their premierships – Under 10’s, Under 11’s, Under 12’s, Under 13’s and 6th Grade.

The dominance of the junior teams showed just why they are a powerhouse in the Penrith Junior Cricket Association (PJCA) competition.

“I’m proud of how the club performed this season. They all worked very hard” said Sunil Chhabra, Jordan Springs Cricket Club Founder to the Jordan Springs Gazette.

“It’s been great to watch the kid’s performances improve over the last couple of years” he added.

The club’s introduction of tennis ball cricket three seasons ago has particularly grown with popularity. With lots of interest from families, it is bringing new members and the community is coming together.

“More Dads are taking up tennis ball cricket. It’s fantastic to see them playing sport and staying active. With the games scheduled at night, families enjoy the atmosphere it creates in Jordan Springs” Sunil explained.

The highly anticipated 2022/2023 Summer season presentations for both the juniors and seniors will be held this month.

“We would like to thank the parents and volunteers for their continued hard work and support. They too contribute to the success of the club” he ended.

The Winter Competition is expected to begin after Easter. For more information about registrations or the club, visit their website at www.jordanspringscricketclub.com.au or find them on Facebook.
