Hidden Nooks
Spring cleaning is the perfect time to seek out those hard-to-reach and hidden spots that collect dust during the year. Baseboards, door frames, light switches, and even sliding door tracks all need a good scrub. Be sure you’re using the right tools for small spaces – toothbrushes can be your best friend!
Break It Down
If you’re in a large home, spring cleaning can be intimidating. Take it in bites you can chew – do one room at a time. Whether your schedule allows for one room a day, one room a week, or completing them all back to back, this will help you get a grasp on all the cleaning to be done. Splitting up tasks by room is also a great way to have other family members help – everyone can focus on perfecting one space.
Back Away
Try to bring all furniture and appliances as far away from the walls as possible. This allows you to clean all sides of the piece, the wall space it typically covers, as well as completely under its usual spot. You’ll be surprised what your standard “vacuum under the couch” routine misses!
