IS MOVING TO TENNESSEE RIGHT FOR YOU?

2020 saw that more people moved to Tennessee than any other state, according to a study done by U-Haul, which complied from two million+ one-way U-Haul truck customer transactions.

Tennessee has likely crossed your mind when thinking about a state with warm weather, eccentric cities, and diverse attractions. Whether or not Tennesee might be your next adventure, here are some pros and cons to provide insight into the most popular cities.

PROS:

Housing costs tend to be lower where there are fewer residents and more space, which is why eight small towns in Tennessee made the list of MoveBudhha’s 100 Most Popular Small Cities To Relocate to in 2020. In fact, Nashville is the only city with the cost of living slightly above the national average. You’ll also see that the state has one of the lowest property tax rates in the country and no state income tax.

CONS:

While Tennessee has a breathtaking landscape and there are many beautiful rivers and lakes to choose from, you’ll have to drive hours to find any sandy ocean beaches. Additionally, the average humidity of 70% combined with southern summers might not be your idea of ideal. And while music tastes and types of shows are becoming more diverse, it’s hard to escape the tunes from the world’s country music capital.
