Museum of Science & Industry 5700 Lake Shore Drive Chicago, Illinois MSI is home to at least 3 ghosts, one being Clarence Darrow, a successful lawyer from the 20s & 30s who worked the Scopes Monkey Trial. He has been seen roaming the grounds and resting on the back steps of the museum.



Graceland Cemetery 4001 North Clark Street Chicago, Illinois As the final resting place for many famous Chicagoans including Potter Palmer & Marshall Field, Graceland has many spooky occurrences. Notably the grave monument of Inez Clarke & the statue “Eternal Silence� have been reported as active paranormal sites.



John Hancock 875 North Michigan Avenue Chicago, Illinois The John Hancock Center has an excess of murder & suicide cases. Paranormally speaking, this means that this well known building is a hot spot or more appropriately a cold spot for creepy encounters. Not to mention the death of comedian Chis Farley happened in this location. Could he be one of the many souls still lingering?

St. Valentine’s Day Massacre 2122 North Clark Street Chicago, Illinois This is the location of the infamous St. Valentine’s Day Massacre that occurred during the Prohibition Era on February 14, 1929. It was a set up and attack organized by Al Capone the leader of the South Side Italian gang against Bugs Moran and his North Side Irish gang. The hit killed 5 North Side members and 1 other. The tragic endings left behind residual energies that remain to this day.

Resurrection Cemetery 7201 Archer Road Justice, Illinois The famous ghost “Resurrection Mary� resides at this cemetery. Mary is the ghost of a young girl from the 30s who was a victim of a hit and run the night of a dance at the Willowbrook Ballroom. She has been known to hitchhike along Archer Road and has left her handprints burnt into the entrance gates.

Jane Adams Hull House 1030 West Van Buren Street Chicago, Illinois The Hull House is a must have stop on any ghost tour in Chicago. It is thought to be haunted by Charles Hull’s wife who died there in 1860 and the many spirits of those who perished when the house was occupied as the Little Sisters of the Poor. The rumor of the “Devil Baby” is also a story that continues to be questioned amongst ghost hunters.

Bachelors Grove Cemetery 143rd Street and Justamere Road Bremen Township, Illinois Adding to the eeriness of this cemetery is the fact that it is abandoned. Many reports of ghost sightings, from orbs to disappearing black dogs have been reported on numerous occasions. The most infamous being captured by the Ghost Research Society shows a dated woman sitting upon a tombstone staring into the distance.

H.H. Holmes’ Murder Castle S. Wallace and W. 63rd Street Chicago, Illinois Opened as a hotel for the World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893 by H.H. Holmes, this seemingly safe establishment became the scene for Holmes’ serial killings. His victim count is estimated over 100, all of which were brutally tortured. The “Murder Castle” no longer stands but the horrid history still haunts the streets of Englewood.

Firehouse Company 107 South Oakley & West 13th Street Chicago, Illinois On April 18th, 1924, Frank Leavy, a firefighter in Co. 107, confided in a colleague that he felt he was going to die that day. Leavy was washing a window pane when suddenly the alarm sounded and the crew was dispatched. The fire they tended collapsed a wall killing 8 firemen, one of which was Leavy. Upon return to the station the men noted a handprint on the glass window Leavy had been washing. This handprint could not be removed and appeared etched into the glass where it remained for 20 years to the date until broken by the toss of the morning newspaper. roosevelt rd

Archer Woods Cemetery West 83rd Street & South Kean Hickory Hills, Illinois Archer Woods Cemetery has been known to harbor the ghost of a sobbing woman who roams around the graveyard face in hands.

Robinson Woods East River Road & Lawrence Avenue Chicago, Illinois The Robinson Family Burial Grounds are located within these woods. Pottowatomi Chief, Alexander Robinson resides here along with many of his relatives. Sounds of Native American drumming have been reported, in addition to misty figures and the strong scent of lilacs suspended over his grave at all times of the year.

The Biograph Theater 2433 North Lincoln Avenue Chicago, Illinois The Biograph Theater is a Chicago Landmark haunted by the ghost of notorious bank robber John Dillinger, who was shot outside the on the sidewalk by FBI agents July 22, 1934.
