ABOUT THE SITE: LOCATION: Jodhpur , Rajasthan The site is located amidst a commercial zone. The brief was to design a 3star hotel in jodhpur. The site being located in a commercial zone and in proximity (5.1kms) with significant tourist attractions like Umaid Bhavan and Mehrangarh Fort served right for the proposal of a 3 star hotel which will house the necessary amenities. A 3 star hotel will serve as a pocket friendly stay not too far away from the tourist attractions, which already house major 5 star hotel options.
HOTEL – SEMESTER 6 ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS: Jodhpur city is a combination of artistic and cultural heritage and has its own charm. The aim while designing this project was to derive an architectural solution responding to local culture, aesthetics and climate. And hence this project is an integration of vernacular with contemporary. The planning is done keeping in mind the harsh climate of jodhpur. There is a central inward looking courtyard which is a public gathering space and hence is shaded by the built around it. The rooms are arranged overlooking this courtyard in L shaped floor plate. Spa,salon

AGRICULTURE COLLEGE-SEMESTER 5
Aurangabad, Maharashtra
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
The brief requirement was to design an agriculture college in Aurangabad considering the number of agriculture land and farmer community. The college campus would include various departments with classrooms , administration block , library, canteen , auditorium and girls and boys hostels. And adjacent farmlands to practice farming.
The military town of Khirki, now known as Aurangabad needed adequate protection form the enemy and so a wall around the city was constructed having 52 major and minor gates. Out of these 4 formed the key entrances from the four directions. And jewel in the crown is however the Bhadkal gate.
The roads get narrower on the inside of the gates
WIDER ROADS OUTSIDE THE GATES
N Delhi gate to the north, Makai gate to the west, Paithan gate to the south and Jalna gate towards the east.
NARROWER ROADS ON THE INSIDE OF THE GATES
LEGEND Main access roads administration Public gathering spaces departments

ENTRY
These community spaces are visually connected and are connected with a network of narrow roads.
CONCEPT Based on these gates and the road network the basic concept concentrates on the connectivity of the open spaces/gathering/community spaces representing the four gates and the central community space representing the bhadkal gate. These community spaces are the classrooms, central library, open amphitheatre seating and the auditorium.
PLANS , SECTIONS and ELEVATIONS Except for the admin all the departments had one common requirement of a laboratory and classroom.
