Established in 2015, s a NYS MBE certified consultant providing federal & New York S assistance, small business development and training to Minority a Business Enterprises as WBE, MBE, DBE, 8(a), SDVOB, or SBE. As part of our core mission, we provide technical assistance to public and private sector decision makers that helps to identify, engage, and leverage relationships with small, emerging business enterprises in preparation of private, public, and municipal bidding opportunities. Specifically, Diversify NY, LLC provides technical assistance to historically and economically disadvantaged minority and women-owned enterprises seeking government contracting opportunities. Our experience includes Federal, State, and municipal contract compliance, MWBE utilization reporting and compliance, federal, state and local municipal certification assistance, and small business development training. Diversify NY, LLC is the SOLE New York State certified MBE in the region with direct expertise in navigating the various certification applications offered by federal, state and local municipal agencies.

Diversify-NY, LLC endeavors to eliminate impediments and barriers to government contracting by directly addressing technical barriers such as certification, bonding, insurance, and lack of access to capital by minority and women owned companies.

Diversify-NY, LLC offers a myriad of training and technical assistance programming with a primary emphasis on New York State certification assistance. We strongly believe that certification is the ultimate pathway to overcoming barriers to contracting opportunities and seek to increase certified firms in the CNY region by 30% within the next five years.

RICKEY T BROWN IS FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL OF DIVERSIFY NY, LLC, A NEW YORK STATE CERTIFIED MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDER THE FIRM'S PRIMARY FUNCTION IS TO IDENTIFY, CREATE AND PROMOTE OPPORTUNITIES THAT ADVANCE MINORITY AND MINORITY WOMEN OWNED BUSINESSES SPECIALIZING IN STATE CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES. IT PROVIDES BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING TO MINORITY WOMEN OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES.

RICKEY HAS SPEARHEADED A NUMBER OF DIVERSITY INITIATIVES FOCUSED ON CAPITAL INVESTMENTS AND DEVELOPMENT OF CAPITAL PROJECTS FOR MINORITY OWNED BUSINESSES SUCH AS SALINA 1ST, ACCESS DENTAL LABORATORIES, AND THE NJ JONES PLUMBING AND TRAINING CENTER.

HE CURRENTLY SERVES SEVERAL BOARDS INCLUDING ONONDAGA COMMUNITY COLLEGE, THE SYRACUSE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY, HOUSING VISIONS AND THE SCSD FOUNDATION.

A GRADUATE OF SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY’S WHITMAN SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT, RICKEY HOLDS A BACHELORS OF SCIENCE IN FINANCE. TODAY, HE LEVERAGES HIS BACKGROUND TO ADVOCATE FOR POLICIES THAT BENEFIT THE ECONOMICALLY DISENFRANCHISED.
