DeLaine Priest

Tiffany Greenis

Ms. Priest has over 23 years of experience in higher education as well as five years of experience in Business and Industry. Her particular areas of interest and expertise include student persistence, academic advising, leadership development, continuous quality improvement, program development, and collaborating with diverse populations in higher education. In her current role, Ms. Priest provides leadership and administration to 12 UCF units, 146 employees, and a budget of over 18 million dollars. These units focus on the transition, retention, and graduation of UCF students. The units also provide transitional support services such as orientation, academic advising, and learning opportunities that empower students to succeed. Under her leadership, SDES has been recognized nationally for the following awards and recognitions: NACADA Outstanding Institutional Advising Program, NACADA Outstanding Electronic Publication Award, NCLCA/LSCHE Website Excellence Award, NASPA Exemplary Program Award, First Year Experience (FYE) Student Advocacy Award, and the Noel-Levitz Retention Excellence Award. Further, she was selected to participate in the 2010 HERS Women’s Leadership Institute that prepares women faculty and administrators for institutional leadership roles. In addition, she is the Principal Investigator for the Department of Education, Upward Bound Program grant, and the Student Support Services STEM grant. Both grants, which total over 2 million dollars, were awarded to UCF to provide opportunities and resources to low income and first generation students. Ms. Priest received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Master of Arts in Counselor Education from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She is a member of various national and local organizations and serves on numerous university committees. In addition, she served as the past President of the UCF Black Faculty and Staff Association, and currently serves as an advisor and mentor to UCF students. She is active in her community and serves on the Boards of the Black International Women’s Congress Organization and the

Ms. Greenis has over 13 years of experience in higher education. She currently advises UCF’s newest traditionKnight Camp and oversees Student Outreach Services (SOS) at the Rosen campus. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership with a focus on Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education from the University of Central Florida. In addition, Ms. Greenis teaches LEAD classes, Strategies for Success freshmen seminar courses and has taught Event Promotions. She has served as an ASB advisor, provided leadership workshops, diversity workshops, and has attended professional conferences such as NACA, ACPA & APCA. Ms. Greenis went on a mission trip to Uganda and Ethiopia last summer on a team led by the Visiting Orphans organization and plans to go back to Uganda this year. She volunteers with Straight Street Orlando (SSO) that helps support homeless people in the local community.

DeLaine Priest Continued Darcy J. Foundation. She is also actively involved in the Coalition for the Homeless. Ms. Priest has a passion for teaching and learning and has served as an instructor for the UCF Freshman Seminar course and as an adjunct professor at Valencia College. Ms. Priest is a strong advocate for students’ success and works diligently in assisting students reach their full potential. Ms. Priest enjoys traveling, participating in 5 K races and learning about various cultures.
