I hope everyone is doing great and had a spooky time this month!

There is a lot of information that came out this month, so please make sure you got everything! The biggest things this month were the DTC and LEDCON information (pg. 08-09).

As always, communication is KEY! Never be afraid to reach out to me about anything! I am still getting in contact with a lot of the other clubs, so we can have more participation!

LEDCON Stands for the Leadership Education District Conference

Key Club’s BIGGEST event of the year

1,000+ attendees

Every chartered Key Club encouraged to attend A place for Key Clubbers to celebrate the past year of service

A 3 day conference filled with fun, learning, and excitement!

Location - Hilton Anatole: 2201 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75207

Date - April 13th - 16th

Arrive Thursday afternoon

Depart Sunday morning

COST

Registration

Early Registration ($150): December 6th - February 6th

Regular Registration ($165): February 7th - March 6th

Late Registration ($175): March 7th - Day of Convention (April 13th)

*ALL attendees, including sponsors, adults, and chaperones, must pay the registration fee undefined

Hotel

Room - 2 beds; can be shared between 4 people

Per night: $170

For entire stay (3 nights): $510

IMPORTANT

Sponsors/chaperones cannot stay in the same room as students Rooms cannot be cogendered

Attendees must stay at the Hilton Anatole to attend LEDCON.

This year, our visional project is hink Outside The Trash." "Think utside The Trash" means to think of items to be something other an trash. In short erms, it means to ecycle and reuse. Trash is piling up too much in our world today and I think our ommunity should y to take a part in ducing this trash o make our home a better place.

How to participate:

Collect recyclable materials and recycle them

Recycling contests

Donation drives (ex. old clothes, toys, furniture, etc.)

Use this project to promote recycling to your school or elementary schools or middle schools.

MAJOR EMPHASIS

Members work together by sponsoring fundraising events and conducting service projects at their local children’s hospitals.

Thirst Project hopes to educate the next generation by arming students with information about how they can be a part of social change, make a difference and encourage others to join in the effort.

UNICEF is the only organization of the United Nations dedicated exclusively to children and helps to provide for children’s needs in more than 150 developing countries through community-based services in primary health care, basic education and safe water and sanitation

Since the 1940s, Key Clubs have worked with March of Dimes to make a positive impact in the lives of babies everywhere and still are now by hosting service projects, raising funds and educating communities about the crisis of preterm birth.
