Vivi Nguyen IP Lieutenant Governor: Last Remarks Hey Peacocks! IP Lt. Governor Vivi here with my final message for Peacock Press! Thank you so much Division 31 for allowing me the honor of serving you throughout the 20182019 term. I could not be more thankful for the amazing opportunity. I want to express special gratitude for all the wonderful officers I was able to work with and of course the members who inspire me everyday with their passion for community service. As some of us continue with another wonderful year of serving through Key Club and others move on to other endeavors and adventures, I would just like to say that this year has been amazing and the love I feel for the organization and the people I have met is beyond words. Division 31, thank you for everything you have given me and I’m sad to be departing from this amazing community but happy to know you’re in safe hands with Lt. Governor Lana. Forever flaunting with service and signing off for the last time, Vivi Nguyen
2019 - 2020 Lieutenant Governor!
Lana Doan Hi Peacocks! I am so excited to officially be able to say the words, "My name is is Lana Doan and proudly serve Division 31 as their Lieutenant Governor!" A little about myself would be that I am currently a high school sophomore, I go to Helix Charter High School, and I have an addiction to boba (it's kind of unhealthy...)
Moving on to the IMPORTANT topic! I have a dream. That dream MUST become a reality, in fact, I know it will become a reality. We must go about this a certain way. Division 31 is currently extremely small in numbers, not only that, but our member participation has DEPLETED! This is all true, so how am I going to change that, you may be wondering? I believe that what we lack is not just numbers, but the Key Club passion that we need in order to serve. I propose that our division needs better COMMUNICATION above all else! This term I will be starting monthly division wide events so that smaller key clubs can meet the larger key clubs and learn from one another. I will also be taking on time submissions very seriously. I expect this division to work as ONE. I feel that in previous terms, many schools did not understand that we work as division as a whole. Each school has depended on their own club, and lacked communication with the LTG and Advisors. I hope to change that! DIVISION GOAL: BRING UP MEMBER PARTICIPATION BY 30% AND FUNDRAISE 5000+ DOLLARS FOR PTP.
District Convention Recap
This was my first District Convention and it was so much fun! The educational sessions were not as boring as I thought they'd be, and I actually feel like I learned from them. I will definately be going again next year! You should too! - Helix High School Treasurer, David Ngo
