letter from PRESIDENT My name is Rose Johnson, but I prefer to go by Rosy! I enjoy knitting, out rigger canoeing with my team, running xc, and reading. I plan on our club helping those who have been hit the hardest in our community from corona virus this year such as children from abusive households, the homeless, and families that lost their main sources of income. As a president, I would try to make it so that our division actually gets to know each other and actually remember each others name. I'm not really sure about it too much as I'm still a bit new to the whole thing, (I've been in Key Club for a year, but only went to one meeting in person and one camp since we live far from town), but I want to try to make it so my club gets to interact with others in the division more!

SPIRIT COORDINATOR
Hey Peacocks,
My name is Brenda Doan, and I am a member of Key Club at Granite Hills High School. I joined Key Club freshman year and plan on doing it for the rest of my high school career; I am now a sophomore. I have a passion for being involved in our community and making a difference step by step. My primary goal is to get everyone to feel included & comfortable! I enjoy learning new things, making new friends, taking pictures, and skating along the beautiful San Diego beaches. This summer, I have mainly focused on my college classes and improving myself as an individual. Despite COVID, I am excited to get to know you all on a personal level!
welcome to the team guys! spirit coordinator

SPIRIT COORDINATOR Hi Peacocks! it is nice to meet you all. My name is Sneha and I am 15 years old. I was born in Nepal and raised here in San Diego. Ever since a child, I loved being involved and staying active in school activities. Personally, I enjoy being in an environment where everyone can collaborate & wokr together as a team. When I first joined Key Club, everyone seemed so dedicated and there were many events going into the play. I was greatly inspired by the club's goals and visions and it brought myself a new passion. With Key Club, I hope to grow as an individual and become a great teammate to you all. Besides school-related activites, I have many other hobbies! I love being outdoors, painting and also playing the ukulele! I can not wait to get to know you all! Thank you for this opportunity!

WHAT IS ptp PTP? donations PTP stands for the Pediatric Trauma program. Pediatric trauma remains the leading cause of death and injury among children ages 14 and under in the United States. The mission of the program is to develop local projects which will reduce the number of children who are killed or injured by trauma, ensuring all children live happy, healthy and safe lives. By donating, PTP is able to improve the outcomes for children who experience pediatric trauma by providing grants to partner hospitals, which enable them to reach out to their communities with educational materials, safety equipment and information on childhood trauma prevention; offer advanced pediatric training for doctors, nurses and first responders; and purchase specialized pediatric medical equipment. So basically, donations raised from club and division fundraisers are used to help fund hospitals and medical equipment!

event RECAPS august 01, 2020 SANRIO TRAINING CONFERENCE
This was the second day of our OTC! Officer Training Conference was hosted for officers to learn about the importance of leadership skills. We provided members with the knowledge and skills to enhance leadership skills in a community and club setting. This OTC was very special since we were proud to be cohosting with Division 11 dolphins! It was a day full of learning about each position, different clubs, and duties as a leader in Key Club. Even though this event was MANDATORY for all officers and DLT members, the many general members that attended and appeared was greatly appreciated. Not only was this workshop hosted to provide the necessary skills and training to become a succesful leader, but it also became an event for many members to show off their talents! Thank you to everyone who attended!

august 06 - 20, 2020 SIGN LANGUAGE PROJECT
The sign language project was a service event hosted along with D11 & Emerald KIWINS! This project was perfect for members who wanted to earn community service hours, and at the same time help an important cause. Members who signed up to participate in the project were sent pharses to learn in sign language. These phrases were focused on the Yemen Crisis, ways to help raise awareness, give resources, etc. At the end of the project, clips were sent in to make one big compiled awareness video. Not only was it meant to help raise awareness for Yemen, but the video was also entirely in sign language and was inclusive for the deaf/ hard of hearing community! Thank you to everyone who signed up!
