LTG Happy September Peacocks! September is my favorite month of the year so I hope you are all able to enjoy it to its fullest! Enjoy getting ready for the pumpkin patches, fall scented candles, and more. Last year, the festivities of fall are what brought me comfort during the difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic. I hope you are all able to do things that bring you comfort throughout this month. The Division Leadership Team and myself are wishing you luck and support for September!

DNE Hey Peacocks! Happy third newsletter of this term! I am so ready for this cold weather to kick in and all the fun activities there will be. We all wish you luck on your classes!

Core calls Division 31 had their first Core Calls for the 2021-2022 term! We were able to learn so much about the officers within the Division. We have learned new ways to support our schools and continue to grow in leadership!

A fun fact about me is that I was born in Iraq

A fun fact is that I know how to play the piano

So this will sound weird but I can vibrate my literal vocal cords. Not my tongue, but my vocal cords.

DLT Fun Facts

Service on Spotlight-Articles and Visuals Monte Vistas Article and Visual! “We went to our community park to clean up the parking lots, playground area, grass fields, and the side of the main road for it. WE wore safety vests, gloves and used trask pickers to pick up the trash. WE also separated trash from recyclables. At this in person event we had our Kiwanis Advisor Ms.Stewart, President Faith, two members and then a friend of a member. WE used this opportunity to clean up our neighborhood while also talking and spreading the word about key club to friends and passers-by around the park. We made sure to only pick up what is considered safe materials to pick up: we did NOT pick up glass, needles, and alcoholic containers. This was also a great bonding experience for new members to better get to know their advisors and officers before the school year started. While picking up trash we discussed future volunteer events that we could do, everyone's schedules, and amazing opportunities that the club has to offer them this new school year. The volunteer event was also our first in person event for the school year, it helped us gauge ways for us to be more productive and ways to keep everyone safe during these times,¨- Kaitlyn Naputi, Monte Vista High School Editor
