Hey tigers! Hope you had a wonderful holidays, and now a Happy New Year! Without a doubt, 2020 has been rough for everyone in so many aspects. There were certainly MANY things "not-so-great" about 2020 but I'm still so glad that I got to experience many new things, especially in Key Club, despite it (mostly) being virtual. That being said, I wish everyone and their families a happier, healthier, and loving New Year! And I will "see" you at the next issue of the monthly, "The Tiger Times," thank you!

GRRR-EETINGS, TIGERS! First and foremost, Happy New Year! Can you believe it's 2021 already? I remember wishing that this year would finally come- four years ago, that is. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break and spent a lot of time taking care of themselves. I know I spent a lot of my time playing League of Legends with my duo partner, Alvin!(; As Conclave and Elections Season approaches, I wish that you all welcome the next Division 43 Lieutenant Governor Elect with lots of love. This entire term has been a rollercoaster for all of us. With that being said, please continue to work hard on accomplishing the goals of our Division!

Roaring above and beyond, Caitlenn Frofunga

MONTEREY "For the month of November, Monterey Highs service projects were Teacher Appreciation Letters/Cards, Charity Miles for UNICEF, and the Chipotle Fundraiser. Key Club hosted a fundraiser at the Del Monte Chipotle on Sunday November 29 from 5-9 PM. “33% of funds will go back to Key Club and we will use these funds to benefit our community in events (we already did) such as teacher appreciatiom letters, neighborhood cleanups, and the local food distribution, and use these funds support international children’s projects such as the Pediatric Trauma Program and UNICEF." - Dezirae Jade

SAN BENITO Color A Smile

First going into this event I was pretty nervous, considering this was my first one, and I’m super shy! However, within minutes I felt instantly at ease and the dynamic was so wholesome and welcoming. We were coloring, and or writing little notes for senior citizens, troops, and to anyone needing a smile. The anime, Avatar, was playing in the background and overall it was such a relaxing event being able to color and interact with friends!" - Angel Le

Setting Up Lights

“Last week, key club was asked to help put up lights for the Lights On Parade that the downtown association would have every year. We helped wrap the trees, at the Municipal Airport, with Christmas lights so that the parade would have some nice pretty lights for the performers and bystanders!" - Christine Baladad “At Setting Up Lights, the four of us hung up lights next to Seabrisa’s Eatery. We had fun preparing and each putting up lights on the trees. I had a lot of fun being out there and talking with everyone as we put up light. It was a great way to start the day.” - Marissa Escamilla
