Greetings From Your Lt.G Yay! You all made it to June! That means that the end of the school year is near! However, keep in mind that service does not end here. Remember to stay engaged! There are lots of opportunity for service over the summer, and now that you have more time on your hands, what better way is there to spend it than volunteering? (Refer to page 12 for some summer service ideas!) In other news, we recently held our first DCM on June 2nd, with 25 members in attendance! Thank you all so much for coming out! I hope that those of you who did attend found it to be both a fun and valuable time. (If you didn’t attend, don’t worry, there will be more DCMs throughout the year!) Refer to pages 6-7 for a brief recap! Like always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me! I’d be happy to chat! Hope you all have a wonderful summer break! P.s. Good luck to those who still have final exams to take! It’s the final stretch! You got this!
In Love and Service,
Jane Tang Lieutenant Governor of Division 56 Pacific Northwest District Key Club International ltg56@pnwkeyclub.org (509) 432-8009

DCM recap
Check out the agenda if you missed it and are wondering what went down!
The First DCM of the year was held on the evening of Friday, June 6 at Kreugel Park in Pullman! There were 25 penguins in attendance, with Moscow, Pullman, and Orofino represented. This DCM featured special guests, announcements, food, and icebreakers! We all had a great time and hope to see you at our next one!
Thank you!
Hello from your Divisional Editor my name is Allison McIlroy and I am the new Divisional Editor for Division 56! I am currently a junior, soon to be senior, at Moscow High School. I am part of both the soccer and track team at my school, as well as clubs such as the Moscow High School Buddy Club! One of my biggest passions, beside the teams and clubs that I just stated, is photography. I love taking all different types of pictures and I love trying new and different techniques with my camera. The Divisional Editor position was so intriguing to me because it incorporated both photography and Key Club together! I am excited to be part of the 2017-2018 year with my fellow Key Club members as well as taking on my final year of high school! And finally, Go Penguins!

Club Updates has been a very busy time for our club. Other than having meetings every week, we are also preparing for a car wash on June 17 from 10 am - 4 pm. The second week of May we had a guest speaker (Gabriel Mease) come in and give an inspirational talk to the key clubbers. We also played Kahoots to get the club more involved in generic information about key club. The winner of the game were Aasiya Islam, Reah Sablani, and Abdullah Islam. The following week, the members were given donuts to reward them for their dedication and willingness to serve the community. Lastly, we held a competitive club election for a new vice president for this coming year, and I'm pleased to announce Mayyi Mahama as the vice president for this year. Outside of our meetings, a couple key clubbers volunteered as photographers for the Distinguished Young Woman competition held earlier during the month. The officer board is ecstatic to start brainstorming new summer service projects. Stay cool in this heat Penguins! Heema Koirala, Pullman President

Moscow just ended all school meetings, but finished the school year well. They raised enough money off of Teacher Talent Show to fund a Builders Club in Moscow Middle School. Also they recently elected new officials and the divisional editor is from their club. Grant Clary, Moscow President
Orofino
has been fairly stagnant due to the impending finals week and summer. Orofino has recently attended it's first DCM for the year, with an attendance of four. Recently we have started a recruitment committee to get our numbers up before having to pay dues. Keelan Chen, Orofino President

Summer service ideas • Car wash • Kid’s day camp • Fun community events (Movie nights, water balloon fights, fun runs, etc.) • Provide relief from the heat- hand out ice cream, lemonade, cold water bottles, etc. • Rummage sale • Barbecue • Collect donations for local food bank (or other organizations) • Create survival kits- bug spray, trail mix, water, etc.* *there is so much more you can do! These are just a couple of ideas!
District Project
It has been confirmed! KCCP has been renewed for another year as our PNW District Project! Our goal is $75,000. We can do this! Support the fight!
