LETTER FROM YOUR LTG I HOPE SCHOOL IS GOING GOOD! As we continue through our school year, remember to stay on track with all your work! Do not let procrastination get the best of you! I will admit, procrastination and time management has been a real struggle for me since school started . . . But I am working hard to make sure I won’t fall down! As of November 14th, our division will begin our VERY FIRST Toy Drive! “Turtle Toys” will be a month long toy drive. You can bring the toys to either the December DCM or to your club meetings. There will be a coordinated officer who will handle all toys. Remember, all toys must be brand new and kept in their original packaging! The items will be packed and wrapped at the December DCM and will given to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital the day after. Please keep in mind that this drive is not just for kids (newborn-18). Items can range from coloring books, to headphones, to socks, to stuffed animals! This week, we have started our Tshirt Voting! Be sure to vote for our divisional Tshirt by heading over to the facebook page or by clicking here! The first round of voting will be done during your club meetings and online. This round will determine the top three designs. This round ends Saturday the 19th! Next week, we will have a second poll to determine the final design! Tshirt ordering will begin that Friday. I hope to get everything ordered before winter break! That’s all I have for now! Hope you all enjoy this month’s issue of t he Turtle Monthly! In Love and Service,

Lieutenant Governor of Division 65 East Pacific Northwest District | Key Club International

p: (503) 935-6154 | e: d65e.kayedelachica@gmail.com

DIVISIONAL BOARD JULIA DAYTON EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

Hey, turtles! Hope you all had a wonderful month, and a wonderful Halloween, if you celebrate it! Now that we've all go<en into the groove of club mee=ngs, I hope that we'll be star=ng more fundraising for our district project, KCCP! We have some exci=ng events coming up, but I hope that you all organize some fundraising events in your own clubs, as well! Don't forget to come to the DCM and make some blankets for the children at Doernbechers! Stay awesome, turtles :)

ROSIE NGUYEN Hey Turtles! It's time for the best time of the school yearNo School November! Not only is this great for everyone to catch up on those piles of homework, but it also provides more time to volunteer! Thanksgiving makes me realize how amazing it is to have everything I need, just putting a small part of my time aside to help others in the community is a great way to be thankful. Food banks and homeless shelters are especially grateful for help around this time of the year, so make sure to stop by and get some hours in there! Also, Westview is finally out of debt! Our entire division is in the positive now, and I hope to find more fundraising opportunities so that schools can reach their goal for people to bring to DCON.

DIVISIONAL BOARD Hey Key clubbers! Now that we are settling into our clubs, most of you guys have probably brought up the topic of elections. Key club is a student run club, and leadership is very important for it to run effectively! But it's also a great opportunity to learn not only leadership, but also how to get out of your comfort zone. I can confidently say that my personality and values would not be what they are today if it wasn't for the time and effort I put into this wonderful club. This is a great chance for anyone to gain leadership experience, which is what colleges and careers typically look for! So emphasize the benefits of being a leader in your club. These will be the individuals we will be working with for a whole year! Good Luck

MARK HUYNH SPIRIT COORDINATOR

SANRITA UNG SPIRIT COORDINATOR

HEY TURTLES! I hope you guys are having a decent =me in school. Last DCM was super fun and even though there wasn't many people, it was a lot easier to talk to everyone individually. Now that key club has started, I'm looking forward to volunteer with you guys! I hope you guys are looking forward to DCON because I sure am even though it's so far but hopefully =me flies by like this year did. It's already November! Let's make this term one to remember.

KRISTEN CORPUZ HISTORIAN

Hey turtles! We are now on the third month of the school, and you know what November means? No School November! I'm pretty sure all of you are looking forward for this month, because we're almost there to the holiday! I would like to first off say kudos to all the clubs that gain new members throughout club rush! You are the leaders of those new members and I wish you the best of luck to guide them to become leaders themselves! Sometime around this month and couple more months, I will be randomly selecting members from our division for our new thing called "Members of the month" on Instagram where I asked those members a question(s) and post it there as a way to get to know your members every month! Who knows, you could be selected! Until then, good luck to the rest of your first semester turtles!
